Cambria Beach Lodge

The staff at this property are very personable, helpful, and knowledgeable about the region (restaurants, wineries etc). The location is wonderful for beach access and ocean views. They’ve taken what looks to have been a basic Inn, and elevated it to a cute boutique Inn. There are 2 EV chargers. The continental-style breakfast has good coffee & fresh bakery breads. There are cute spaces to sit and read, watch the ocean, sunsets, etc.

Beautiful property! Very clean and decorated with a retro California coast feel. Front office staff was amazing and and we received a free bottle of Cava when we checked in for our stay. The office had a great sitting area with a perfect ocean/sunset view and a roaring fireplace. There is also a deck with wind screen overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!

Love Cambria Beach Lodge! Location is great, little amenities like binoculars, upstairs common lounge, indoor common space, and EV charging. Only suggestion, fridges in rooms.

Fantastic view of the ocean, and reasonably priced rooms, fabulous coffee. The sundeck provided a way to get out of the wind to enjoy the amazing ocean view. Great to just walk across the street to walk the beautiful path along the ocean in the morning. Super friendly reception staff.

Cute decor and lovely location. Bikes to borrow was a nice touch. Excellent breakfast. Loved the sitting area and fireplace in lobby, and the viewing deck for sunset. Appreciated the blankets, as it was open air and chilly in February. Short walk to the Sea Chest for an excellent fish dinner. I’ve stayed in several motels along Moonstone Beach Drive, and this was far and away the best. Looking forward to staying here again!

From the moment we walked in we felt like guest. Gave a Kombucha to sit and enjoy after check in. Offer a freezer for ice packs from ice chest. Rooms so cool a vibe and clean. Bikes to borrow. Helpful on things to do. Lobby is a great common area. Offer lots to enjoy in the way of drink. Morning small eats yummy. All in all great!

Instagramable motel! Nice lobby with locally baked pastries, fruit, eggs,great coffees and teas in the morning. Steps from a wonderful boardwalk and beach. Bikes available. The staff is kind and amazing at making recommendations for local areas to visit. Rooms are comfortable and very up to date.

It's a very cozy place and very nice staff. essay access to beach. Only thing is there's a stain on the bed spread in one of the queen bed made us a little uncomfortable.

Our stay at the Cambria Beach Lodge was very enjoyable. We booked four rooms for the weekend, and the staff reservation clerk was very courteous and helpful in making the arrangements. Our arrival was late, and the staff stayed in touch with us to ensure that access to our rooms was effortless. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with a fun, seaside feel. The office staff was friendly and fun to interact with, and helpful with tips for local restaurants and shops. Housekeeping staff did a terrific job of keeping the rooms clean. and tidy. We would definitely return to Cambria Beach Lodge on our next visit to the area!

Request a refrigerator if needed (not standard in the room). Slight Con’s: King room a bit small for 2 with luggage and supplies for a several day stay, we had power issues charging all the electric devices, floor sticky, parking lot small for large vehicles, and the big shower is not enclosed and splashes water on floor.

Front desk staff were friendly and professional. Even though we arrived approximately 15 minutes early, our room was ready! The room appeared to have been recently painted and updated. Location is great and the property is quiet and peaceful. Will most likely stay here again in the future.

There for 2 nights on a wine trip. We usually stay at a different hotel, but they were booked. PLUS side— A “newly remodeled” feel. Excellent location next to the Sea Chest restaurant and across from the beach boardwalk. Super continental breakfast with yummy breakfast breads, fruit, oatmeal, and orange juice. Very nice hotel staff and a complimentary artsy area map with hikes and other things to do around Cambria. Nice large lobby with fireplace and ocean view. Large glassed in viewing/lounging deck for all to enjoy. NEGATIVE side — Small, small rooms. Must ask for a fridge. Only 1 chair in the room, no small table for cards or eating. Faucets in the bathroom coming directly out of drywall, no backsplash (unfinished?). Hotel has only one large family room/house to book that has a direct ocean view.

The only thing that would make this hotel better is to help minimize noise in the rooms. The walls are very thin and you can hear your neighbors walking in their rooms.

The room was clean but small. There was no coffee maker in the room or refrigerator (which I need for my medication). The staff was courteous and friendly and did their best to accommodate our needs. However, I won’t stay there again mainly because of the small room and lack of amenities.

The hotel is right on the beachfront snd like msny other properties has a series of guest rooms in a line off street with parking outside. The room was clean, as was the bedding, towels etc. The walls are a tad thin ao you can hear voices when raised next door and one person started up a very loud motorbike and kept it running for a minute or so before loudly moving off. The latter is a guest issue but something to consider if you are a light sleeper. There is a lounge area to chill out on but the weather was too chilly for us to take advantage of. The team were helpful and the comp breakfast and coffee to before you set off. We'd stay again

Cute little place for an overnight stay but no good if part of a longer trip. The room we stayed in was very small with no room for luggage. A little overpriced for what you get in my opinion. The wardrobe has space for a suitcase but only a small one. We were on a 3 week trip so had lots of luggage. Great location right on Moonstone Beach. A couple of restaurants within walking distance. We had an amazing Valentine’s Day at Cambria Beach Lodge. The two front desk people (who I assume own the hotel) are so nice. We had a tiny mix up and the woman went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable- offering a bottle of wine to ensure we were happy. This property has gotten all the little things right which add up to a great experience. Thank you!!!

After hours check in was great

The hospitality by Ryan, the manager, was world-class! He was helpful, approachable, kind, and interesting and it was an overwhelmingly excellent experience. We have already planned a return trip!

The staff on property made our stay super amazing! From the moment we checked in, we were treated like family. The room was perfect and the location was incredibly beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Beautiful lodge and staff were very accomodating and welcoming. They made sure our room had little steps since my mom is handicaped and allowed us to check in early on short notice.

This hotels staff was unbelievably kind and helpful. When we checked in Sarah was there to Greet us with a smile and warmth after a long drive. We had never been to this area before, Sarah gave us a map and told us all about it. The hotel looks newly remodeled. The interior and out interior both have a clean beach vibe. The communal spaces are comfortable and welcoming. In the mornings, it was very relaxing to grab our white continental graphics and sit outside with an ocean view. On the grounds, there is an observation deck. This space has cheers, umbrellas, and a very large cushioned seating area. This is in amazing place to sit and enjoy the ocean views. With the deck being upstairs, you can really enjoy seeing the ocean clearly while hearing the waves. During my morning meditation, IOn the grounds, there is an observation deck. The hotel is very nicely located. You’re directly across from the ocean. The downtown area is a quick 15 to 20 minute walk a fast bike ride or just a few minutes in the car. I would choose this hotel again without hesitation. The staff is so warm. They communicate nicely through text messages. It’s also a very nice extra bonus that there’s bike.

Wonderful stay at Cambria Beach Lodge, very comfortable rooms, loved being beachfront. Quick trip to Hearst Castle and elephant Quick trip viewings. Daily breakfast was very nice. Beautiful sunsets on the terrace.

Like being so close to the beach. The boardwalk is a nice way to walk along and listen to the waves. The hotel had a deck that was perfect for watching a spectacular sunset. A yummy breakfast as well easy to drive into town to check out shops and different eateries.

Good basic room. Staff friendly and helpful. Across the street to boardwalk and beach. Dog park 5 mins by car.

The area around did not have many dining options. But the staff was nice

We liked the location as we were directly across from the beach and walking path. We enjoyed daily breakfast on the patio overlooking the beautiful view. We were only passing through but loved the stay so much we decided to return and book another night. The staff were friendly and offered dining suggestions, but it was tough finding a place to have dinner. However we took a 5 minute drive to downtown where we enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Sows Ear. We walked daily and interacted with other guests. This was a pleasant visit and we plan to return for another stay.

Love this property. Few steps away from Moonstone Beach Board Walk. Very clean and nice decor. Front desk service was great. Friendly and provided information of where to dine and what to explore. Enjoyed the continental breakfast. Great coffee.

It was a nice place, nothing fancy considering we paid over $226 for one night. Then we were charged extra $12 for wifi and taxes! So total was $238... The continental breakfast was good, with a variety of fruit and pastries

Very clean, professional staff. They even have a loft overlooking the ocean with chairs, blankets, water and services available. Breakfast was outstanding and part of the stay. We will definitely book again.

For a motel, its good but pricey. Its an old motel that has recieved a modern upgrade but vestiges of the old were visible everywhere (e.g. flimsy main door, old hinges etc) . Pros: Airy, well ventilated bathroom with good amenities and shower. Nice modern design aesthetic in common areas. Practical, healthy options for breakfast though limited. Cons: Stuffy room, with only black out drapes- so we had to trade off between privacy and artificial light. Bed and linen quality was mediocre. For a modern motel, expected TV with chromecast option. We picked it as it was part of ‘Tablet’ collection- we were left wondering how it made the cut.

Overall great experience and the included breakfast was an added bonus

We enjoyed the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine while watching the sun set over the ocean from the lobby lounge area. Local dining featured excellent seafood and interesting desserts. The continental breakfast served in the lobby included great lemon and pumpkin breads. The weather was perfect for us, since it was cool and we were looking for relief from the heat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Cambria Beach Lodge. The bed was so comfortable, the linens and pillows were dreamy, the toiletries were indulgent, the coffee was excellent. I really enjoyed the rooftop deck. If I had to come up with a criticism, the breakfast (while pretty good) was exactly the same all three mornings; I would have enjoyed a little variety.
