Our one week stay got off to a very disappointing start. We had booked a Deluxe Room, but upon arrival we were told that we would be given a Standard Room instead. if we had not been firm and insisted on receiving what we had actually booked, we would have ended up with a Standard Room. Eventually, after a lot of discussion and back and forth, we were given the Deluxe Room we had paid for. Unfortunately, this was not the kind of welcome we expected and it put a real damper on the start of our holiday. We booked and paid for a Deluxe Room, and we simply expected the hotel to provide what we had reserved without all the hassle.

Daytime staff were brilliant and helpful. Night reception was a cowboy who demanded 400 Turkish Lirra for making a call to my room. Otherwise I couldn’t fault the staff or facilities

Great hotel for what you need. Friendly and attentive staff with a nice spa / sauna on site, in a nice quiet area with access to all you need with just a short walking distance.

Do not stay here - checked in for two nights but didn’t even stay one night - renovation work going on all over the hotel, dirt and dust everywhere, tables and chairs being put together all day so lots of noise outside the room and had to go into town to find a quieter area to use wifi and work, other furniture stacked up in communal areas of the hotel. Genuinely did not feel a safe or comfortable environment to stay in. Agreed with reception staff that I would check out the same day and they agreed to process refund the next day. Got home two days later and refund had not been processed. Emailed the hotel three times over the course of a week and did not receive one response - all contact completely ignored. Asked Expedia to intervene and hotel told them they would not refund despite telling me when I checked out that they would process the refund. All of this is just basic good manners and customer service that you would expect any hotel to provide but to essentially lie that they would refund and then not do so, is inexcusable. All of this is without even commenting on the state of the rooms with old, tired and chipped furniture, small dirty bathrooms and communal areas - the whole place needs renovating - but they should not be accepting guests whilst doing so. If you want to pay good money for a poor hotel and even poorer customer service, BC Spa is the place for you. Took multiple phone calls and a lot of persistence to get Expedia to eventually make the refund.

Lovely hotel. Excellent Turkish bath a must. Getting a little shabby in some areas and english breakfast not the best, but overall very nice
