Ramada by Wyndham Elko Hotel at Stockmen's Casino

Firstly, they did not mention that the pool will be closed. Secondly, they also did not give us rooms close to each other, even though we booked the rooms together. Thirdly, they refused to accommodate for that. Fourthly, the heater was NOT working! I called maintenance and he claimed that there is only cold water running through and that there will be no heater available (they did not write that in the description). They bought me another blanket, but I was still very cold. I cannot believe that a Ramada would not have a heater! However, the good thing is the breakfast, there are only 3 options but the restaurant accommodates.

My stay started with having to wait 15 minutes for a clerk to show up at the desk to check-in. Second the elevator to the actual floor was broken so you had to use an elevator that stopped at a location that required you to lift the luggage cart up 2 stairs to get it to you room. The condition of the stairs suggest it has been broken for some time. Also, there was no notice provided by the desk that there was an event going on across the parking lot playing very loud music, so from about 6 to 11 pm had base thumping through my window. Generally the place is older, kind of run down and not very well kept. Definitely on my list of not greats hotel stays.

Service from staff was excellent. The pool had no water in it. I had plans to swim with my family, so i was very disappointed.

Restaurant staff are awesome as they serve complimentary breakfast. I love playing at the casino. The beds were comfortable but the room was small for 5 people. We had to get roll away. That we had move one of the beds so we can fit it between the full size beds a bit crapped. There was no bar to help me get into shower which is a must since I had problems getting into and out of tubs. The grandkids love the pool.

The pool was empty and thus unusable. The rooms were clean and well appointed but the mattress was very soft. The “ free” breakfast was very basic ( a choice of either 2 eggs with 1 sausage and no potatoes, or 2 pancakes or cold cereal) so if you wanted something more substantial you could order from the menu and get a $2 discount.

The elevator was out of order for two days before we arrived and we had senior with mobility issues. Had to climb stairs up and down. Imagine someone with wheel chair bound? Completely unacceptable. With “breakfast included” we assumed it will be like every other hotel around the world with choices and options to choose from. Rather it was just couple of options and rest to buy from the available menu. That is not called “Breakfast Included”. Please change the term and stop misleading customers.

Easy parking, nice staff, but lobby is next to casino, so you have to walk by the smoky entrance of the casino. Our room was 115 ( stay away) and is at the end near stairs, so can be loud and is in courtyard by the pool which the area needs updating and had the same garbage on ground both days even though we saw countless employees pass by the garbage. Went to see the fitness center and the second and third floors were so much nicer than courtyard room experience!

Everything was great except the pool was freezing even though it was 97 degrees out. Other than that we enjoyed our stay

To be fair, Ramada has done well renovating an old downtown hotel, and it was clean. However, BOTH elevators were out of order, and staff not only failed to mention this, they seemed put out by our concerns. The property sits in a rundown area of town, and supports a tired old casino. I do commend them for offering a full and real breakfast. Also, in a room with a single bed, there’s room to add a desk, or at least a chair.

The entry needs a welcome redo, very dated, as is the casino. However, everything was cleaned regularly. The restaurant and staff were great! Check in was late by 30 minutes, by the third time asking, they upgraded me to a king room just to accommodate me. The hallway to the rooms and pool is narrow and dated, and also includes the ice machine. Once you step out to access room, the world opens up. The rooms face the center pool. The pool guy was diligent and thorough. I don't think he has ever been complimented before. When you step into the pool, the water is glorious! I would suggest placing some texture on the pool steps next time the water is lowered. They were slippery.

We've stayed in the atrium before and it was good. We were in the outside rooms. No decorations, the beds were horrible. One bed was broken and wobbly. There was hairs all over the bed. The entertaiment center sagged in the middle. Overall very disappointing.

The room looked NOTHING like the ad whatsoever. The beds were horrible and caved in. Staff was unhelpful and I would NOT recommend this property. The pics / ad on Expedia are EXTREMELY misleading. carpet was old / room was dilapidated. Very upset.

Bed could have been better, was concave when sitting on it. Under the bed was disgusting. Cigarette butts and trash underneath the bed. Service was great.

We had the family suite, which the beds themselves were great, the split rooms are very spacious, grateful for the King and 2 Queen set up, and I love that the floors are linoleum, not carpet. The reason for my low rating is because one of the Queen beds didn’t seem like the bottom sheet had been changed. There was residue (hard to describe but I have pictures) and hairs on it. The staff was quick to get us clean sheets when I called to request them and I am thankful for that. The floors were also very sticky, dirty and didn’t feel like they’d been mopped in a while. The spaciousness of the room was nice for our family and the free breakfast was appreciated by the kids. We will likely not return unfortunately, because cleanliness is top priority for me!

I like the pool in the middle of the property, but the walls between the rooms left a little to be desired; you could hear doors being slammed and people talking out in the hall. We also liked the balcony in front of our room. We had a nice stay.

Overall experience was excellent! Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of clean towels.

Ac system was not working, was told it had to do with hot water system but was constantly blowing hot air into room and wouldn’t go below 79 degrees. Was given a room change when I brought up issue and second room was fine. Thanks for fixing the issue!

Clean, quiet, great staff, restaurant is really good!!! Only complaint is that the beds were not at all comfortable!

The bed in the room should have been replaced long ago. It was lumpy, sunken in the middle. The pillows were just as bad. The television wouldnt turn on. finally got it to turn on

I did not like the lights shining through my window all night long and no light switches to shut it off

Ac didn’t work. Room was 81 degrees at 230 in the morning. No sleepy!

The room was really nice. My only complaint is that it didn't have black out curtains, so the light from the casino sign shown in the room all night. Additionally, forget about sleeping in the sun was bright in the window at 6am. Also, the parking was a little tight given it's shared with the hotel and the restaurant.

The breakfasts were nice, but choices were restricted. We were there on business which became almost impossible because wi-fi was non existent. The entire hotel is heated and cooled on a single system so the thermostat was useless. We had to have maintenance in twice to get it comfortable. The people were super nice and helpful.

The room was huge, the noise from hall was like it’s in our room. Despite the third floor was called smoke-free, room had a distinct smell. The faucet had issues with water drainage, leading to slow and insufficient flow. Water pooled in the basin, indicating possible plumbing issues that affected the overall bathroom experience.

When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk to help right away and so we waited for a while for someone to show up. We booked a room with one king bed and they gave us a room with two queen beds but they seemed smaller than queens. Then in the morning the cleaners were rolling their carts around being incredibly loud at 7 in the morning and they woke us up by knocking on our door at 7am. That is ridiculous to be knocking at that time and the woke us up from our well needed sleep. The restaurant breakfast was good and our server was really nice so that was great but overall it was not the best experience.

Accommodations were very good, staff was very positive and helpful. Breakfast was very good and staff was exceptional as well. Will definitely be coming back in four weeks for another business event.

I'm kind of in shock I've been asked to review my experience with this hotel. I had a confirmed reservation from both Expedia and the Ramada, showed up for it just before midnight and was simply told there were no more rooms and was turned away and told this happens with their systems sometimes. Avoid like the hot garbage.

When we first arrived at the property, the front desk clerk seemed inconvenienced and visibly annoyed. I brushed it off, assuming it was just a busy Friday night at a casino hotel and that they probably deal with a lot of high-energy guests. However, the service was disappointing right from the start. We were checked in without being told anything about our room—no room number, no directions, and no information about the hotel’s amenities. When I asked questions, the clerk seemed irritated and dismissive. After noticing that our room key card didn’t have a room number on it, we went back to the desk to clarify. The response was cold and almost confrontational, as if we were causing a problem by asking. We decided to shake it off and enjoy celebrating our friend’s anniversary and birthday without checking the room first—big mistake. When we finally got to the room later that night, we discovered the air conditioning unit was completely broken—no airflow at all. The pillows were lumpy, the mattress had a deep indentation. To top it off, housekeeping started knocking on doors at 7 AM—on a weekend—despite check-out not being until 11. As a local, I’ve stayed here a few times when friends and family come to town, and unfortunately, this was by far the worst experience I’ve had. I tried to share my concerns with staff, but no one seemed to care. Very disappointing overall. Hopefully this was just a fluke and not the new standard, because I’ve had better experiences here

Not worth the money. Biggest complaint is that we could not get the thermostat to work. We asked the front desk for help and the lady said she would send someone to the room. No one ever came. I was not surprised as the front desk clerk was not the friendliest when we checked in.

I liked the staff, all were friendly and helpful. I feel at home when I visit.

After I checked in, I went to my room and found it the way the last person checked out. It had not been cleaned. I went back down to ask for another room. The Lady behind the counter at check in did not even apologize. She didn\'t say anything except give me a card for another room. Two words are all she said..."Room 120 "...just poor customer service. if she doesn\'t like her job she should probably quit ...maybe?

Attached to a casino but no shared spaces so really a separate structure. Rooms updated but basic. Comfortable and quiet on a week night. Easy walk to restaurants..

Well located in town. Walking distance to restaurants. We liked their casino. Comfortable, clean room. Efficient, friendly staff. Stayed twice and would stay again.

Great central location. Room itself was clean. However: Casino was Smokey and poorly ventilated. No service in the restaurant which was under construction. Broken AC in the room. I was told the power was out, got in there and the lights worked, but the AC was broken, not without power. Lot's of loud people outside my door at all hours. Appears to be a homeless den.

Great central location. Clean and well kept despite its age. Restaurant serves consistently very good food. Staff goes above and beyond in providing excellent service.

The breakfast is right off their menu and consists of two more popular items, eggs or pancakes. Or you could get a discount on other menu items. We chose to walk around the hotel area and had a wonderful evening meal within walking distance of the hotel. We enjoyed this stay.

Rather rude front desk clerk Ate in the restaurant…. Horrible. The few waitstaff tried hard and were nice but the food was terrible.
