Restaurant closed. Pool closed. Gym closed. Gift shop for snacks or drinks closed. No mention of it when make reservations. Made reservations for 2 and there was only a single set of towels in the room. Didn’t realize until person 2 getting out of the shower. Pillows were low quality and so thick I now have a kink in my neck. Thermostat would not go below 68 overnight. Would not recommend or stay here again.

Maverick Hotel continues to advertise having an outdoor pool on all websites despite it being out of operation for over a year with no immediate plans to repair (per hotel front desk). No mention of the pool being closed in any communications until check-in, at which point it is too late to find an alternative. No discount given, despite the pool being the only factor we chose Maverick over the other options. Management offered no solution or apology. Greeted with a tarp and debris immediately after getting off elevator do to extensive ceiling leak that has yet to be repaired. Checked three ice makers, none of them were operational. Was told to request ice from the bar, but there was no one manning it.

The room was clean but dated and worn. Maintenance at the property is lacking. Conveniently located near the convention center and there are a couple restaurants on site. Fitness center is a time capsule from 1994. I’ve stayed here several times recently and think there are better options for the money, especially with $15/ night resort fee tacked on for not many amenities.

The room was very outdated. Carpet was filthy. Holes in the ceiling. Pool was freezing! Couldn't even swim. All the games at the arcade were either broken or the claws in the machines were so loose it wouldn't hold onto anything. The bed was clean and comfortable.

Casino is nice enough but the hotel is run down, pool is closed indefinitely for maintenance, and the room was so far from the Casino we choose to drive down rather than walk what felt like a mile. Lots of areas were also under construction.

Very dirty and outdated. Room was a non-smoking room but the smell of smoke was still very strong, even though we were the farthest away from the casino. Also, lights didn’t work on most of the lamps. TV in the extra room had even more limited channels. Worst of all was there was no wifi. Called the front desk to ask if there was something wrong with it, the person was rude. He response was, “What do you want me to do about it?” Would never stay here and would never recommend, especially for non-smokers and anyone looking for a clean room.

The staff was very friendly and parking convenient however the room was infested with bed bugs which cause a severe delayed reaction in me lasting up to two weeks. They did refund our stay and promised to block off the room until an exterminator could treat the area. It is my main concern that anyone who is very sensitive like me be aware of the issue. Room 123.

The property as a whole needs some renovations. Our room felt very dirty. I didn't even want to walk on the carpet without socks or shoes on. It just felt dirty. There was also a very strange smell when we entered the room. We had to make coffee just to get rid of the funky smell. Outlets didn't work, bathroom tiles were very slippery, clock didn't work either. We tried to check in early, but was told it was not an option. Instead of checking first, the front desk agent was shaking her head to gesture no before I was even done with my sentence.

While the room felt clean, the property needs a serious upgrade. I felt like I was back home in my childhood 1970s tract home. The carpeting in our non-smoking room had cigarette burns and the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The lighting was from awful cool white LEDs and I could feel the mattress springs. I won’t stay here again unless the property undergoes a major renovation.

I got Checked into the room, and the temperature in the room was 75 degrees with theat blazing. I switched it to cool, but the AC never came on. I called the front desk on my cell phone because the phone in the room did not work. They said they would send a service tech to look at it. 30 minutes went by and no service tech, so I called the front desk again, and they said oh sorry we called the service group but no one answered. They said we can move you if you would like, so I packed up and moved rooms. When I got to the next room the same situation was present. 75 degrees in the room with no working AC. Luckily this room was on the second floor and had a slider so I could open the door and get some cool air in. At this point it was after midnight and I had to be at the jobsite for work at 6 am so I did not bother with calling the front desk again. This hotel is poorly maintained and very understaffed. Paid over $140 a night which seems like highway robbery for what condition the rooms were in.

I usually stay at Stockmans. Rooms at Maverick are far bigger, bigger beds, bigger tv. Overall just nicer. My two complaints - the AC was terrible! Couldn't get the temperature under 76 degrees the whole time. And I hate the heat! It was hot and miserable which means sleep was a nightmare. Second complaint is the hotel is big. Farthest room away from the casino so it was a journey walking back and forth. Almost easier just to drive. All staff was awesome other than that

Stay was good. Very disappointed tho to have a $15 per night “service fee” added on at checkout, which I did not see any indication of when making the reservation. There was no “daily” room service. There was a sign at check in that said you had to request it 24 hours ahead if you wanted it. When I asked what the $15/day service fee was for then, I was told it was for property maintenance. I would think if that was it, it should just be in the daily room rate, not an unexpected addition

Staff at front desk was very accommodating for a disabled individual. We had a pet room but the toilet was way too low for disabled. Frank was very thoughtful and understanding, and changed our room to an ADA room. Will stay again. Everyone was very kind!

Maverick had advised me to call when our amtrak was 10 min out and they would send a shuttle to pick us up. Which i did. After waiting 15 minutes i called again, was advised they couldnt find a driver. Its 3 am and 5 degrees. Two calls to get a cab and find out the hotel had cancelled our reservations. I made a point of calling the hotel well in advance as our arrival time was in early morning hours. It was more than an hour later before we were able to get in to a room.

We had a clogged sink and took two days to get it looked at. They came on the second day after three calls to the service desk. The maintanance guy plunged it but it did not fix it very well at all. The cleaning crew never came and cleaned the room.

Everything was out dated and “out of service”. Casino wreaked of smoke, which I understand that it’s Nevada but that’s maybe the ONLY thing other states should adopt from California is a no smoking in buildings policy. AC was out in room, shower didn’t work in another. Tacks coming up in floor. The front desk people/manager were the only thing good about this place as they did at least give a little bit of a refund back for all of these issues.

There were issues with the date of the booking but they did accommodate. One of the receptionist must have been training and wasn’t happy with the trainer which was uncomfortable but otherwise a decent stay.

Convenient place to stay while traveling. Resort is dog friendly and has secured entrance doors for hotel guests. Includes a restaurant, bar and coffee shop on premise which is very convenient when traveling. Ice and vending machines in each wing, with adequate parking. The area/street is very busy, but they do have security that patrols, and our vehicles were safe. Will be back in the future.

Maverick is next to all the food places and highway acces is super easy botb directions. Staff was pleasent and room was clean and tidy. Eveything worked just fine.

Compared to the last time we stayed here it was terrible. The guy who checked us in was not friendly at all. It was noisy someone was slamming a door all night long. The sodas in the machine were hot. The coffee shop was closed so it only left the overpriced steak house for dining.

Clean, comfortable room with some extra space to spread out a little. This place fills the bill for me. The front desk was pleasant and eager to please. I asked for some extra coffee for the room. No problem-O. Breakfast in the restaurant was very good. Generous portions served hot. Just the way you like it. The room had the most advanced microwave I’ve ever seen. It had two USB ports and a power outlet on the front of the unit. The room also had the oldest but still serviceable toilet seat I’ve ever seen. But it was CLEAN and no cracks. Bottom line: YES, I will stay here again.👍

Broken doorknob on the bathroom, loud neighbors, used to love eating at the cafe. Food now lacks flavor on every part of the plate, very disappointed in it. This isnt the cheapest hotel to stay in when it comes to this area, but they are definitely presenting like it should be the cheapest.

I always stayed there because it had a Resturant, but the food is expensive and sub par. $19 for a hamburger. Really disappointed in that. Otherwise the room was ok. Expensive but ok.

Its a nice stop for the night if you are traveling through Elko. The rooms were clean with white, crisp sheets and very comfortable pillows. The non-smoking room was fresh. The bathroom was clean and in good condition. We enjoyed eating at the cafe for two meals with very friendly staff.
