Always have a great stay at the Mason City Holiday Inn Express. Friendly staff, comfortable and quiet facilities, an excellent breakfast, and more. They need to have a tip jar for the kitchen help who make the wonderful food they provide to the guests for free.

So this was a very nice place to stay. The restaurant next door has the best mexican food we have ever had. Within walking distance. The pool was nice and warm, great for little ones. The room was clean except for a razor that was left in the tub from previous people. Which to me says the tub wasnt cleaned. However it still smelled clean and looked clean. The beds were a bit hard, but overall i would give a 4 out of 5 rating.

We weren’t even there! I made the reservation for Monday night the 27th, today is the 27th of July. We called right away to tell them it was sup[posed to be Monday night & they wouldn’t change it w/o charging us double!! We will never use/ stay there again!

I prepaid with a ATM Bank card, I checked and went to eat when I come back I was told my bank card was declined and did I have another card, so I gave my credit card and $50 was subtracted from my credit card as a deposit, I was told after the $50 deposit that a miracle happened and my bank ATM card had went trough, Why lie ,just say we look to poor to have money and you need a deposit just in case we stole something. Last time I spend good money at this hotel.

The staff were terrific!! I can’t say enough how nice, kind and accommodating they were. Tammy at the front desk during the nights was the best!! We loved the late check out. The room was so clean. Didn’t wake up early enough for breakfast but I’m sure that was great too. See you next year!!

Every time we stay at the Mason City Holiday Inn Express, it is very good. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and hotel. An excellent breakfast for people like me who are gluten and dairy-free. Very comfortable bed and spacious rooms. It's a very nice hotel. The best part is that it is quiet. The hotel needs a tip jar for the kitchen staff. They do an excellent job and deserve a gratuity.

Room carpet is old but hotel is very clean so don’t care. Hotel is nicely maintained. AC works well. Breakfast was great and staff personally got my daughter hard boiled eggs after breakfast was closing. We appreciated getting a noon check out as we got in late. I like Marriott hotels but some Fairfield hotels are not up to good standards. Have had problems at Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past but this hotel has changed my opinion. Now if reviews are positive I will consider them.
