City Edge North Melbourne Apartment Hotel

Room fairly small, but the upside of this is the range of cooking facilities available. And a laundry, And a room to meet visitors. Excellent.

Great location and they had late nite check-in. Parking was super easy. We only got 2 bath towels for 3 people in the room.

After reading the reviews for this place I was very concerned, but it was luckily pretty clean and no bedbugs when I went. However, they do not clean the room unless you ask which I found awkward having a 2 week stay. The studio room came with a kettle and toaster as well as all cutlery and mugs. For the price it was okay, a good location but the tram stop outside is one stop outside of the free tram zone which was annoying. It is a good location for Melbourne university which is where I was visiting, about a 15/20 minute walk away. There is a small metro supermarket around the corner and it's a short walk to the victoria market. There is a launderette, it's 4 dollar coins for a wash and the same for a dry, note that you need your own washing tablets and the dryers don't really dry your clothes properly.

Parking was advertised as included and then when I checked in they advised the car park was full.

Heater didn’t work Parking isn’t onsite Rooms are much smaller than the photos show Sheets are rough The air vent out side the room sounds like a jet The cigarette smoke and butts outside the balcony doors ( NON SMOKING SITE ) & they double charged me - and I still haven’t received a receipt even after requesting it

Staff friendly and very helpful, easy for us to access coming from the north west Victoria. Parking offered by the facility close by and easy to access. Cooking facilities excellent. Certainly would use again

This was a great spot to stay with husbands in hospital They have parking at cheap rates. The room was basic but when your mostly visiting hospital its great I would recommend for hospital location. Also shops and Market very close

Apartment was dirty, stains on bathroom door, unclean bathroom.floor, walls, and doors dirty, fridge dirty and not clean from previous tenant, only one small pan, only 2 cups between 3 people, asked for another and didn’t get, kept asking for coffee pods as only 2 in room. Curtain hanging off, chipped floor tiles, very unclean.minimal crockery. One would expect cleanliness especially around covid! Disappointing .

The room smelt of Body odour.

Cool little rooms everything was thought of. Only one thing stopped me for really relaxing after a hard day. The room smelt really unpleasant. Possibly some cooking or dead body. It got to the point i had to spray the bed with aftershave. This ended up giving me a headache. I really liked the place other that this issue.

We saw the hotel had a 3 and a half start rating but decided to stay anyway as it was the best value in the area. Our room was lovely only with a few flaws from wear and tear like a cracked shower bottom, dirty walls and hair in the drain. We were moved so we had two room across from eachother. One of the rooms had a smart tv which the teenager was thankful for after a long night. The shower had fantastic pressure, we live on a farm with only a rain water tank and pump so the water is very poor. It was amazing to have a shower with high pressure and clean water the teenager mentioned she had one for as long as she could handle. In the morning the teenager mentioned she had cocroaches in her room and we also spotted a mouse in the hallway. My partner mantioned the he saw baits and traps for both so the hotel is aware. Reception was friendly and helpful and our stay overall was pleasant. The Woolworths around the corner was great for an affordable breakfast with a veriety of freshly baked pastries, sushi and fresh fruit.

My hotel room was spotless, warm and quiet. Super comfy bed. Friendly, helpful staff.

Understand its not the most expensive hotel but badly painted over graffiti on the walls, mold on shower tiles, had no hot water in the morning. 2/10 However Yasmin the receptionist was extremely helpful i rate her 10/10

Reception staff are wonderful to deal with. Very friendly. The cleanliness is way below par. Old soap under the bed and bathroom wasn’t very good either. Especially around the toilet seat, needs taking off and be cleaned properly. Just wiping things down wouldn’t hurt either. Made me wonder what are they paying the housekeepers to do?

Tram stop adjacent so convenient for transport into CBD Very small room but served purpose for price Bed comfy. Espresso machine but did not supply pods..’need to buy your own’. Courtyard non existent….tiny door opened to car park

This place was convenient for an event we attended to near by, the room was small but the bed was very comfortable, would recommend for a short stay.

The room and bathroom small but had a comfy bed and a good shower. Had a early morning medical appointment so this accommodation was perfect for me.

The property is handy to amenities, condition as expected for the price per night; however, we found their wifi is below par, constant disconnection.

Convenient location and very close to tram stop. Room was fine, although could get quite dark - we were unable to sleep with the blind open at all due to a bright outside light shining directly into the room.

Nice room, beds were very comfy. Tv wasn’t a smart tv but not a huge deal. Had a great stay.

I was satisfied with my stay. It was ä reasonable room at a reasonable price. Generally clean and not modern but not lacking in functionality. The only complaint is the room advertised with a Balcony, though it did not have a balcony

Very convenient for our appointment at Peter Mac. The hotel was well presented clean and included all that is required for overnight stay. Our only issue was entry as it was a public holiday and reception closed early. There was little instruction outside and the phone call was tedious.

Absolutely brilliant customer service, the girls on reception were so lovely and helpful. Room was small but perfect for a quick one night stay and was very clean. Extremely happy with our stay.

I had to ring a number to get access to the hotel on Sunday evening. The person on the phone didn't know the right way to get in. They kept on insisting that my key was in the black box. There were black units on the wall with number locks. It was actually a grey box. Took me quite a while to get in. In the bathroom there was a tiny bit of toilet paper that had actually been folded but there was no other toilet paper. I was told to go buy my own. The heater didn't work when I got there. Once again I had to ring someone to sort that out. The clock in the room was also wrong and I nearly missed my appointment. Overall it was disappointing.

Excellent staff service

Fantastic close proximity to a number of hospitals. Easily within walking distance to Royal Womens, Royal Melbourne, Peter Macallum & Melbourne Private Hospitals. Rooms are clean. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit to the hospital

I booked here because of the price. We found the location to be fine, one tram stop past the free tram zone which ends at Queen Victoria Market. Nearby Woolies Metro and a chemist a little further away as well as the market. The room isn't spacious but suited us with minimal luggage. Trying to work out of two or more larger suitcases might be a challenge. The room was clean but could have benefited from a spring clean. All the obviously regular cleaning including sheets and towels were as clean as you would hope and expect. Nice to have a small balcony and access to fresh air. The aircon worked well if you prefer. Staff on reception were helpful. The kitchenette seemed well equipped and was also clean. The room wasn't serviced during our 5 night stay which is probably reflected in the price. We were happy with our stay and would consider returning again.

Location was great- reception extremely friendly and helpful

The hotel is close to CBD if we choose to walk and has tram stop at the door if we needed. Quiet location with close access to QV markets and beautiful parks nearby. Great stay for a weekend/week getaway.

Lovely place to stay. Short walk to the Queen Victoria Markets and the tram stop is literally across the road to get into the city.

Location was great w tram station in front. Just 3 stops to cbd. And walking distance to QVM. The property was quiet and importantly place was clean and safe. We stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful time.

I've stayed here a few times, mainly for medical appointments and its easy to get to and from via trams and on foot.

Close to royal melboune hospital suited very well

We recently stayed at the City Edge as our daughter was having surgery at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, we found it so great being so close to the hospital, very clean little room, good size fridge for a small room and great to have the cooking facilities also. They have discounts if you are going to hospital, also the parking is a bit cheaper too.

It was well located for trams and the markets
