A great location in the central area, steps away from the Sol train/metro stop. Easy walking to everything. Only Spanish spoken, has elevator. My room, #11, had a hairdryer! Very noisy, normal for a hostel, but bring earplugs. Great WiFi. No central gathering spot. Toilet made for tiny humans

This motel represents great value stay for those looking for basic accommodations. The location is fantastic, steps from the Puerta del Sol metro and numerous bars and restaurants. A/C was user control and very cold, important for summer months. Staff was very friendly. Our room could be a bit “noisy” at night but nothing that affected our rest. The bath shower had good water pressure. Beds were decent. I would stay again.

Atenção: os quartos não tem janela o que pode causar claustrofobia. O quarto é amplo e conta com frigobar mas não tem chaleira. Banheiro pequeno porém eficiente e com exaustor (no banheiro e no quarto). A localização é excelente a poucos metros do metrô e cercado de bares e comércio.

Very well located for Sol metro station and restaurants in the centre of Madrid however the AC didn't work in one of our rooms and leaked all over us in the second room we had. Also, the owners don't speak a word of English and the rooms are pretty small.

Chegamos quase 3h da manhã e fizemos o chek in tranquilamente. A localização é excelente. Achei a cama muito confortável. Banheiro foi compartilhado, porém tem pia e chuveiro no quarto. Ainda pudemos guardar a bagagem no último dia. Voltaria de boa.

Zentral gelegen, nur wenige Meter von Sol entfernt. Entspricht der angegebenen Unterkunftskategorie. Zweckmäßige Einrichtung, Kühlschrank und Safe (Münzsafe) vorhanden. Duschgel wurde täglich bereitgestellt. Bett/Schlafqualität in Ordnung.

Location location. Close to everything especially the metro. Our room did not have a window which we didn’t realize when we booked. Your given 3 keys one for the front door then you go up 3 floors in elevator and another key opens that door then you have a key to your room. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Instalações são simples, não espere nada de glamuroso mas eu recomendo muito! Localização não poderia ser melhor, fica perto de tudo e da pra passear a pé qualquer horário do dia. Pessoal limpava o quarto todo dia. Se você não pretende ficar vários Dias e seu foco é conhecer a cidade, vá sem medo! Eles guardaram nossas malas antes do check in pois chegamos muito cedo.

It was in a great area! It is very lively day and night, with tons of stuff to do right outside the Hostel doors! Great food and bar options open late. Walkable to many of the main tourist sites. Our room was a bit small but very clean and comfortable! Bed was nice. Room had a sink, shower, AC and the shared toilets were always very clean, as well as the rest of the property. Always felt safe walking around here - even very late at night. We enjoyed our stay! The noise outside didn't bother us, as we could not really hear it from our room. If you want something small but comfortable, clean and in a very central/fun location, then this could be a good choice.

Sehr zentrale Lage, vieles fußläufig erreichbar. Die Metro-Station Sol liegt wenige Gehminuten entfernt, unmittelbar nahe des Hostals gibt es ein großes Gastronomie-Angebot, auch zum Frühstücken. Zimmer und Bad waren ausreichend groß und machten einen sauberen, renovierten Eindruck. Einziger Nachteil war ein fehlendes Fenster (Zimmer 16). Die funktionierende Klimaanlage konnte dies aber kompensieren. Die Schlüssel konnte man jederzeit mitnehmen, man ist also rund um die Uhr unabhängig.

Urent værelse der aldrig bliv gjort rent under ophold. Kunne høre alt i igennem nabo væggen, vandet i bruser gik hurtig fra varmt til koldt. Ejerne mand og kone var søde nok!

Hotel bem próximo aos principais pontos turísticos, mas numa rua cheia de restaurantes, movimentada e barulhenta. Acústica do quarto muito ruim, se ouvia todo o barulho da rua e do corredor do quarto. Cama era pequena, tamanho viúva, e um travesseiro comprido apenas, o que não era nada confortável. Ficamos coçando bastante o corpo, acredito que o colchão tinha percevejos. Fora isso, pra dormir e tomar banho, até que está ok, embora o preço seja bem alto pro que oferece.

The location of this hostal is superb! We were literally steps away from Puerta del Sol which is extremely connected to anything you’d want to do in Madrid. The room was clean and ordered when we arrived and we had the room cleaned every day. Everything worked in the room. The staff was not the friendliest we’ve met, but they weren’t rude either, just not very engaging. However, we had no issues during our stay and would consider returning if we are ever back to Madrid. Recommended for the price and value you get.

The Fuentesol has no basis charging through Expedia as it does, even as a hostal, which in Spain does not mean communal youth hostel. It\'s a hotel. The single room with private bath I had was leterally postage stamp size; no phone in the event of an emergency; inability to move more than 3 ft. in any direction. Worse, the minimal, frequently absent staff speaks only Spanish. I tried to call in advance of my arrival and when I asked if my interlocutor spoke English or French, I received a curt "No" and was hung up on. When I departed, I asked if they could print out my 1/2 page flight boarding card: Answer: "No. That\'s not our "obligation" ". Very bad experience all-around. Expedia could do a better job researching with whom they do business.

Clean and functional. Great value and excellent position right at the heart of bars and restaurants. My only niggle is that I travel to Madrid quite often and have recently started to used this hostel but when I booked for my next trip in Feb 24 I put the wrong dates in and although Hotels.com reached out to them within a few minutes of my mistake they would not allow me to rebook for the correct dates without loosing all my money and re booking. Hence my low score and I will not be going back as they have lost my loyalty. (Without their unreasonable stance it would have been 10* to be fair.)

This was a trip wrongly booked. The wrong dates came up and I only noticed 10 seconds after booking. But the hostel refused to amend to the correct dates. Therefore I would have lost all my money. At least I got three days bonus. And I’ve booked somewhere else in Madrid for the correct dates. This has left me annoyed at their intransigence and will not book with them on future trips.

Great stay at Hostel Fuentensol! The hosts were great, very welcoming and friendly even though we did not speak much Spanish. Location is fantastic, close to everything and very easy to enter the property. Very clean. Would definitely stay here again for a few days in Madrid

The Fuentesol has no basis charging through Expedia as it does, even as a hostal, which in Spain does not mean communal youth hostel. It\'s a hotel. The single room with private bath I had was leterally postage stamp size; no phone in the event of an emergency; inability to move more than 3 ft. in any direction. Worse, the minimal, frequently absent staff speaks only Spanish. I tried to call in advance of my arrival and when I asked if my interlocutor spoke English or French, I received a curt "No" and was hung up on. When I departed, I asked if they could print out my 1/2 page flight boarding card: Answer: "No. That\'s not our "obligation" ". Very bad experience all-around. Expedia could do a better job researching with whom they do business.

The location of this hostal is superb! We were literally steps away from Puerta del Sol which is extremely connected to anything you’d want to do in Madrid. The room was clean and ordered when we arrived and we had the room cleaned every day. Everything worked in the room. The staff was not the friendliest we’ve met, but they weren’t rude either, just not very engaging. However, we had no issues during our stay and would consider returning if we are ever back to Madrid. Recommended for the price and value you get.

This motel represents great value stay for those looking for basic accommodations. The location is fantastic, steps from the Puerta del Sol metro and numerous bars and restaurants. A/C was user control and very cold, important for summer months. Staff was very friendly. Our room could be a bit “noisy” at night but nothing that affected our rest. The bath shower had good water pressure. Beds were decent. I would stay again.

Location location. Close to everything especially the metro. Our room did not have a window which we didn’t realize when we booked. Your given 3 keys one for the front door then you go up 3 floors in elevator and another key opens that door then you have a key to your room. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

I could not even stay at the accomodation for one night. the room smelt like stale cigarettes and was giving me a migraine. when i spoke to the staff they dismissed what i was saying and ignored me. i was booked for a 10 night stay in a single room and was not even offered a different room. i checked out and had to book myself in to a different accomodation last minute. at the time i was under the impression i would be able to get a partial refund for my stay as it would be a last minute cancellation only however the accomodation refused this. i would never book this again and will warn everyone who mentions going to madrid against this.
