This review takes into consideration that this is a budget accommodation, and so my expectations were aligned with that fact. This felt like staying at my elderly aunt's home. The building was older, but clean. It's in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to tavernas, plenty of street parking. The room is basic, but clean. The plumbing is older, but with plenty of hot water. The AC is adequate. The views are fantastic as you are right in the shadow of the Meteora rock formations. Breakfast was Continental style and included fresh bread, hard boiled eggs, fruit, cold cuts and cheese, tomato, juice, coffee and cake. My family of five stayed one night and the rate was very fair. We booked two triple rooms. The staff was warm and polite, and delighted in my cute kids. The monasteries are only a 10 minute drive from these lodgings.

We stayed at San Giorgio Villa for one night. we drove from Athens to Meteora. The location was excellent — very close to the main center of Meteora and right at the foot of the mountains. The villa had a small kitchen equipped with all the necessary utensils for cooking, which was very convenient. Breakfast was included and quite decent, with boiled eggs, assorted breads, fruits, tea, and coffee a good way to start the day. Overall, it was a nice, comfortable villa with a hotel-style feel and a great location for exploring Meteora.

Un bel accueil à l'arrivée et tout au long du séjour. Nous avons séjourné 2 nuits dans une belle chambre très propre avec un balcon offrant une vue sur les météores. Stationnement inclus sur place et le petit déjeuner est correct. L’hôtel est située à proximité d'un grand choix de restaurants ( on peut y aller à pied) et on ne peut pas demander mieux pour aller découvrir les météores, les monastères et le village de Kalambaka. Nous recommandons cet hôtel.

I selected the San Giorgio Villas because of its stated proximity to the Meteora rock formations, and I was not disappointed. It is, I believe, the absolute closest property to Meteora, literally at the foot of the giant pillars. We booked the Triple with Meteora View, and the pillars were right outside our window across the street. Breathtaking! My husband called the room “monastic”, which, given the Meteora monasteries, seems appropriate. It was simple, but absolutely beautiful with wood accents and some ornate decorative touches. The beds actually ended up giving us one of the best sleeps of our trip thus far. Breakfast was served to each table with a selection of bread, eggs, cheese, yogurt, cake, coffee, juice, etc., and was ample and delicious. One thing to note that might make this place even more appealing to some travellers is that it has a kitchen and large table where you can prepare your own meals. The staff was lovely and very welcoming! Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay. The room was comfortable and clean wiht a view on the Meteora. There is also on the first floor a common area with a few sofas, which is really nice and a common balcony with a view on the mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The area is very quiet.

The manager and staff of this hotel are really really friendly and helpful! The hotel is a bit on the older side, but the location is really good especially if you're planning on hiking in the area. They also have a parking lot. I liked this place a lot, it's excellent value for the money.

It is in a quiet location. The rooms are very basic. We had booked two rooms and one of the bathroom had a shower curtain that was so dirty we did not use it. There was no mattress covers on the bed. The breakfast was ok. It is conveniently located to visit the monasteries.

La struttura è una villa meravigliosa all’inizio della strada che porta ai monasteri. Pulizia impeccabile, camere spaziose con balconcino, aria condizionata silenziosa e staff molto gentile. Materassi comodi e camere molto ben insonorizzate. Forse il bagno è un po’ piccolo ma la doccia è molto larga. Assolutamente consigliato anche per via dell’ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Very nice view, liked common sitting area and balcony on the 2nd floor. What I didn't like is the very hard single beds, didn't get a good sleep during our 2 day stay. The washroom was very tiny and I had to maneuver around the toilet to get to the shower. Breakfast was sufficient.

Very cute and charming hotel. The only negative was the awkward shaped bathtub which made it very difficult to shower or take a bath. Staff was friendly and the location was great.

Great place to stay in Kastraki. Excellent location; easy to drive to the monasteries on a whim. The hosts were very nice and provided a nice breakfast every morning. The shower was awkward (they just need a holder for the hand shower head). All in all I would definitely stay here again!

We had overall a great stay at San Giorgio Villa. Very close to the monasteries, close to the village and we could walk to the restaurants. Good breakfast every morning and the personnel was kind and helpful. Unfortunately on our first night the A/C did not work and we could not sleep, it was 30 degrees in our room. We were switched to another room with a functional A/C for our second night but were not compensated for the first night.

The manager and staff of this hotel are really really friendly and helpful! The hotel is a bit on the older side, but the location is really good especially if you're planning on hiking in the area. They also have a parking lot. I liked this place a lot, it's excellent value for the money.

We had overall a great stay at San Giorgio Villa. Very close to the monasteries, close to the village and we could walk to the restaurants. Good breakfast every morning and the personnel was kind and helpful. Unfortunately on our first night the A/C did not work and we could not sleep, it was 30 degrees in our room. We were switched to another room with a functional A/C for our second night but were not compensated for the first night.

We stayed at San Giorgio Villa for one night. we drove from Athens to Meteora. The location was excellent — very close to the main center of Meteora and right at the foot of the mountains. The villa had a small kitchen equipped with all the necessary utensils for cooking, which was very convenient. Breakfast was included and quite decent, with boiled eggs, assorted breads, fruits, tea, and coffee a good way to start the day. Overall, it was a nice, comfortable villa with a hotel-style feel and a great location for exploring Meteora.

The building was older, but clean. It's in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to tavernas, plenty of street parking. The room is basic, but clean. The plumbing is older, but with plenty of hot water. The AC is adequate. The views are fantastic as you are right in the shadow of the Meteora rock formations. Breakfast was Continental style and included fresh bread, hard boiled eggs, fruit, cold cuts and cheese, tomato, juice, coffee and cake. My family of five stayed one night and the rate was very fair. We booked two triple rooms. The staff was warm and polite, and delighted in my cute kids. The monasteries are only a 10 minute drive from these lodgings.

Lovely place to stay!! What a view - the location is amazing! The hotel is a little on the older side, but also very charming! The staff were very very lovely! Breakfast was pretty good too, and some good recommendations for town. The hotel wifi signal didn't reach our room, which was a pity, but otherwise this was an amazing stay and we'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
