The unit I had was newly refurbished and it was excellent. The only thing I could be a bit picky about was, the car parks are very narrow and fill up quickly, so get in early. Otherwise loved it

So convenient to have affordable car parking available while overseas, the shuttle to and from airport was fantastic, especially on the return trip, arriving at midnight , to arrive to our room with heat pump on and a toasty warm unit was much appreciated Big shout out to Lexi for her great service and attitude

My room was very dirty …the sheets on the bed were dirty & stained in room 806. The bathroom was terrible. The shower sprayed water in all directions & with very old fixture that was difficult to use. The vanity basin was very dirty. The TV could not access normal TV channels. I was so disappointed with this unit. I would never stay again I had to ask for fresh sheets for the Bed…worst hotel room that I encountered in my 2 week holiday

there was a street billboard advertising for Breakfast daily at the Motel, this was not so, over the weekend there was no Breakfast. my room was not complete after the Cleaners had been through leaving a roll of waste basket bags on my bathroom counter, no facial tissues the box was empty and no replacement face cloth after the cleaner had taken it away. otherwise, pleasant front desk staff, van driver and nice restaurant staff in the evening from the Cook to the lady on the counter.

I booked last minute and was really impressed. The room was spacious, very clean, and had a huge TV which was a nice bonus. The property is super close to Christchurch Airport, which made it really convenient for my trip. Staff were friendly, and everything felt safe and quiet with easy parking available. Horrendously uncomfortable bed. Woke up with terrible back pain. The bed springs can be felt when lying on it. The windows were so thin you could hear all the cars passing by. The front desk staff was also rude. I wish I had paid for the Novotel instead. It would’ve been well worth it.

Great service from the time I got on the shuttle bus at 1.30am. The efficiency and cheery nature of the driver made check in and getting to my room run very smoothly in the wee hours of the morning. My room was bigger than expected and lovely and warm. Will definitely stay here again

Staff were nice but unfortunately the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. We had a 2:45 am wake up call (we didn’t ask for), and house keeping came around twice before check out - the first time without even knocking or announcing themselves first (and we were asleep).

I would recommend this establishment to anyone who was going to the airport especially for the early morning flights as the staff are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make sure that you are safe and well informed. Thank you I had a great stay!

The staff in reception and the airport driver were very friendly. The restaurant girls were not friendly and borderline rude. Our room ceiling lights were inoperable. I had the receptionist come to the room to confirm. We were not offered a different room but we were OK with that even though another room would have been preferred. The room, #838, is showing it's age and needs a refresh.

We stayed at the Airport Gateway Motor Lodge for 2 separate nights. Once on our 12.05am arrival to Christchurch where Lexi was such a fantastic ball of energy when she came to pick us up from the airport, that she gave us a 2nd wind. We couldn't have asked for better. Later on in the morning, due to a few major hiccups, we had a rocky start to our holiday. I was quite upset but Jacqui was the most helpful, calming & understanding person we could have met. It was as if she was tuned into my anxiety & not once did she make me feel rushed or embarrassed. Without Jacqui I probably would have had a meltdown. Due to the service & positive vibes we received, we decided to stay the night before we went home to Australia. From now on, the Airport Gateway Motor Lodge is our first point of call whenever we go to Christchurch. Thanks Jacqui, Lexi and the other lovely staff (including your beautiful office manager puppy). xoxo

Firstly i was given s room with only 1 bed when i had requested 2. Then after the room was changed, i was accidentally overcharged NZ$300. That was on 2nd April. Despite being assured the refund had been done, it hasn't appeared on my card yet.

Love the shuttle service to the airport. Mum was nit able to use the shower over the bath and would have had difficulty getting to second level. Thankfully able to change rooms. Restaurant had lively food however the poor staff member was very busy.
