Simple room, the pool is very small with no shade at all. It is ok if you just want to sleep there

Easy checkin even though I was arriving very late (~2am). Room was quiet, ample parking, easy to get in and out.

Dingy old furniture and rusted sink……looked like poop in the sink! No tissue and had to pay for ice!!! Pancake maker didn’t work, rubbery eggs very little food served ie four muffins, bread sausage patty. We didn’t expect a feast but they should have made it more welcoming with what they did serve! BUGET INN FOR SURE! Bad experience…..dirty pool too! Should have known it would be a bad experience when the door to the room was all messed up!

Fair price, pool was clean, bed was comfortable, no complaints. I would stay there again. Good Luck.

Ok place with pool

The property is very nice with great lighting, parking right next to your clean room and a safe place. No big trills but great price.

Paying customers should not have to pay for ice at the ice machine- breakfast- terrible

Check in was easy, and our desk attendant was very kind. She also was there for breakfast service, which was very impressive!! Pancakes and eggs are real treat from a hotel breakfast. The pool was clean and not heated, but that didn't keep the kids from getting in. If we are in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

Owner was way nice and helped make room for our truck and trailer in the lot. Clean and had everything we needed in the room.

This is a nice place to stay and is definitely budget friendly. My only issue was the bed… while comfortable, it had our feet elevated and our heads, well, it was crooked.. I had to sleep with my head at the end of the bed in order to sleep with my head upright. Took a dip in the pool, very clean and enjoyable. Laundry on site too. Oh and ice isn’t free. That was another negative. Overall, I would stay there again, but only if my budget wouldn’t allow something more affordable. Office staff are amazing.

The last few times we were in Barstow we stayed at fancy hotels around the outlet stores. They were all booked that night, so the Budget Inn seemed like the best choice. It certainly was. Everything was just about perfect. Very clean inside and out, well appointed rooms with comfy beds, a full breakfast, and extremely friendly owners and staff who helped us get our damaged trailer back on the road. We will be staying with them whenever we are overnighting in Barstow in the future.

An older motel, but spotlessly clean and excellent, friendly service. Thumbs up.

The door looked like it had been kicked in. There was blood splatter on the side of the bed. A shoe print on the sheet. My dog went to the area of blood, which is how I found it. We didn't stay, and they would not return our money. The manager said, “Motels don't wash the mattress cover every day.” I said they do when they are soiled with blood and dirty. She didn't even offer to clean it when I showed it to her.

Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable, on the down side the property needs attention including paint,plumbing,electrical.

The room was in terrible need of repair. furniture, flooring, bathroom mirror cracked, tub chipped, mold around shower window. Main floor cracked, tile floor in bathroom cracked entrance door dented many electrical switch plates loose and hanging, bathroom sink faucet leaking shower room light and fan fixture missing cover.

Dirty! Stains in fridge, rusty tub and sink, suspicious grayish towels, unfunctional toilet. Fleas and human hairs in bed! This place is a nightmare where I feel physically and mentally uncomfortable to be.

I know that I booked a budget hotel, but I would still expect it to be somewhat clean. First we walk into the room with an outside temperature of 113 degrees and the air conditioning was not even turned on. If my guests were expected after the check in time, I would at least be somewhat prepared. I booked a room with a jetted tub and when I went to look, the stopper was in and there was an inch of green, slimy sludge water in the tub. The room mustn’t have been rented in quite some time. There was nobody in the office at this point to even look into changing rooms. I literally had to shower the next morning with my flip flops. The ceiling looked as if it was about to fall down with so many cracks and water stains. The two arm chairs were so dirty and damaged that I wouldn’t even consider sitting on them. Luckily there were no bed bugs in the mattress when I checked. The property came with free continental breakfast which I never expect much in terms of quality, but this was not to be chanced. I voiced my concerns to the front desk worker and told I would like to speak to the supervisor/owner and left my information. No response was received!!

Clean, neat, and quiet. Great value for the price.

The room was very clean, hotel staff was nice, and the hotel staff took care of a light bulb that was going dim. I had no issues with while staying there.

Staff at check-in was very friendly and professional. Room was quite good size and the linens on the bed were nice. The furniture was a bit outdated but served the purpose. Not a five star resort by any means, but with the word Budget in the name you shouldn't expect that. For the price, it was well worth it and should I find myself in Barstow again, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice bedroom , spacious , clean and good running aircondition

The room was newly updated but not finished. The lights in the bathroom were not done. There was no plastic laundry bag. There were a few more but I can't remember them now. The traffic from the main street was very loud and went on all night.

Everything was ok except for checking into our room, the a/c was off as well as the fridge unplugged and it took several hours for room to cool on a very hot summer night.

Very modern, quiet clean hotel.

We weren’t expecting much based on the price, but we found that it was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly spacious. The enamel was chipped, a bit on the bathtub and sink, but it was actually charming to see that they were real metal features. There was a big-ish fridge and a microwave that came in handy. It was the perfect spot to overnight on our way to California. I wouldn’t have minded staying longer if we had business in Barstow.

I charged my car and came back and checked in close to 8pm. The room was nice but about 95 degrees Fahrenheit. One of the bathroom switches is cracked and the heat lamp is burned out, I’m guessing, but we don’t use it. After about an hour of running the a/c half the room is cooler and I’m sure the whole room will be cooler in about another hour. Can’t imagine if I checked in at 3pm how hot it might be. It’s an upstairs room though, so I’m sure the ground floor rooms would be cooler. Overall I would still recommend as the staff was very friendly and it is a great price and value.

It was nice hotel, but bed where no comfortable. Very noise but beautiful views.

I was traveling by motorcycle and I woke up in the morning to a flat rear tire due to a nail in the tire. The owner of the hotel offered to plug the tire for me, how very kind of him! There was a motorcycle shop just a few miles down the road so I opted to take it there for repair instead, but the hotel owner filled up my tire from his air compressor so I could make it to the motorcycle shop. Thank you!!

I don’t know why this place has some questionable reviews. I had a great experience. I was late checking in but it was not a problem at all. The area felt safe (I was a woman traveling alone). The only recommendation I have for the owner is to plug the fridge in before a guest arrives so it’s cold. I would definitely stay here again.

When I got there the girl said that the change that I had in writing, wasn't in her computer so she couldn't give me a room?! Hotels.com didn't make the change that I had conformation for. I want a refund for that room I didn't get!

Staff is great to work with so that I got the room I wanted.

If a motel requires a deposit they should list that on their ads through the booking places which they did not list any kind of deposit information like that until I got to the hotel they were very judgmental I have two special needs children and yes they were acting out a little bit and I was getting dirty looks from them all.

Friendly family-run establishment

Rude workers. Husband kept trying to walk into room as I was just getting out of shower and yelled when I voiced my concerns. It seems he doesn’t respect anyone’s personal space/choices and lets his ego get in the way of actually being a decent person.

Easy to get to. Easy return to frwy. The staff was quick to help when I had a need for the room.

Great value for a clean, comfortable and well-maintained “Mom & Pop” motel. On the east end of Main St. which generally was much nicer than the west end of Barstow.

A nice quiet location with a good bed and a good breakfast. The staff was friendly and the price was right. Lots of choice of restaurants in the area.

The room is too close to the highway and noisey.

Well the Budget inn is definitely “low budget”. When I booked with Expedia, free breakfast was listed. When I checked in l, I was told that the free breakfast was not included at my room rate and that I’d need to pay an extra $10 for the breakfast. Hmmm… The room was clean but nothing special; definitely on the cheaper side of things. The towels feel like sandpaper. It seems clear to me that all of the positive reviews had to have been left by employees or family members and could not be real. I wouldn’t stay here again. I’d definitely book with one of the other chains listed online. Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

The breakfast wasn't good. There was no food except old dry cereal, muffin, bagel but no milk or juice.

Staff would not let my wife take a single yogurt at breakfast for the road, my wife is a diabetic. We stayed at 10 hotels during our trip this is the only one that refused her a yogurt. Had to ask for a room coffee maker and the micro was missing the heating plate. The staff mentioned, stated he was the manager. I would like a apology from him for my wife.

Friendly staff. Easy check in and drive up rooms (there is a second floor but we had a lower level and parked our car in front of our room). Beakfast was good. Had eggs and sausage. Bed was good and shower was good.

The only issue was the strong smell of incense in the dining area.

The place was basic and clean and a decent value for the price. Check in was easy and friendly. Breakfast is very basic. The coffee was pretty weak and tasteless. Overall a decent place for a night's stay.

if you need a place to lay your head down and catch some Z’s then this is an alright place. Other than that I wouldn’t ever stay here again. The beds are uncomfortable, the soaps are hard, the little thing of shampoo and conditioner looks off. On top of that the ‘free breakfast’ was completely disgusting. The eggs were so gross, cereal was stale, the only good thing in the breakfast was the bagels & the juice they have. Far better getting your own breakfast elsewhere.

This property has everything you need. Very inexpensive too for what you get. We particularly liked the fact that you get a hot breakfast. Excellent.
