This is a spectacular property and overall we really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. Our room was beautiful, large and comfortable (we booked a Peak View Suite). We were a little late getting into the room, but were able to enjoy the hotel amenities while we waited so it was not a big deal at all. Bell staff was fantastic and bags were delivered right away when the room was available. Front desk staff was great and gave us a quick tour of the property. We had our dog with us and they were very dog friendly, provided special amenities and also have dog friendly options on the in room dining menu which we thought was super cute. We had (and have also in the past) somewhat mixed experiences with the service in the Vista Lounge and Apex . . . specifically the busiest moments (weekends, prime evening time) they just seem to not quite be able to keep up with demand. Although on Sunday evening we had fantastic service in the Vista Lounge (albeit Saturday evening left a lot to be desired). We had a couples massage at the spa and thought the facility was fantastic and the therapists were great. Being able to ski Empire lift before the general population arrives is an amazing perk . . . we had fresh snow every day we were there. Overall we loved it and will be back!

My wife and I had a short staycation here in June 2025. Beautiful hotel among the best in Deer Valley. The vista view is incredible! Relaxing outside peacefully taking in the view from the spa after massages was the highlight of our stay.

Montage Deer Valley is far from the village. So one needs a car or shuttle to get around town. The property is dated. The restaurant situation is extremely disappointing. Sometimes lousy service and the food ordinary and not always at its freshest state. Choices of foods are so limited you re better off eating elsewhere which is impractical. The room i was supposed to receive said VISTA. Well we looked over a great part of the parking lot and a bit of mountain with construction going on. The pool is nice but lacks sitting space for such a large property. Not my favorite choice.

The Montage has been our favorite Park City hotel for years but just isn’t what it used to be, from amenities to dining. We used to get a full mini bar with snacks and drinks, now we have a single bottle of tap water that gets refilled at night. The room service menu is sparse and quality is almost embarrassing. The menu, quality and presentation (and price) of food at the pool and sushi restaurant were also mid, at best. I thought Apex would help redeem but it did not. The customer service and their pool feel like a 5 star, but everything else is 3.5. S.O.S.

Montage is always a heavenly experience. The property is absolutely stunning, every restaurant was tasty and delicious, even the pastries at the coffee bar were outstanding. The shops they had were great and the SPA!! The spa was absolutely wonderful!!! The rooms are gorgeous and the staff wonderful!!

The property is very nice and the location is spectacular. Service was as expected in a hotel at this price point. I did request a room with a view, but the view was 'partial'. I should have asked for another room since the hotel was definitely not full this time of year, but I was too tired/lazy/whatever. The hotel is definitely geared to the ski season. I cannot think of a better place with the ski in/ski out infrastructure there. I'm sure the price in winter is as breathtaking as the views.

Had a wonderful thanksgiving weekend at the Montage with my parents. Will definitely do it again! I don’t have kids but it was a very kid friendly place for anyone who has kids

The Montage is a fine property that is located in a beautiful valley to allow great scenic views. That said, price to stay infers that "fine" shouldn't be in this resort's vocabulary and overall the resort service was subpar even for a standard hotel. Few issues: As soon as we checked in, there was vibrating construction noise immediately above us; took 40 minutes to figure it out from hotel and then we were actually moved rooms. They upgraded room (good) and offered a meal credit that we never received (bad). During breakfast, there were 3 tables and 4 servers working, but our order was delayed for 35 minutes (without any word from a server). We had a ride scheduled a hour after we arrived, but due to delays only had 7 minutes to wolf down our food. (bad). Ultimately, we were comped a meal due to poor service (ok resolution, but totally avoidable). The pool staff forgot our food order (bad). Ultimately, we didn't have to pay for it (neutral, still hungry...). The areas around the building (such as the play area for kids) was just dirt graded without grass ($1000 of grass would make a huge difference). We had heard good things about Montage, but this was just a disappointment. For $1,000/night in the summer, there are MANY other options that we would revisit.

Wonderful property. The room was spacious and nice. Amenities were convenient. The only issues I had during my stay were the limitations of only being able to use Chrome Cast on the TVs, as well as the racist comment a valet staff used in reference to my uber driver.

The property is poorly managed! They employing nice people that do not understand and or speak English very well. In America we expect to speak English! The service is poor because you need to repeat every order 4 times and or return wrong item delivered. I would think there are plenty of Utah people that need jobs. Not sure why most of the employees aw to not be from USA? Why the bars are un-able to make all drinks ordered, but oh well. We has issues with room that they fixed immediately. Good service. Great location and great ski resort.

We frequent the montage where we live in laguna beach and we always have the best time with the best service and the best food. Montage deer valley fell extremely short of that to the point of utter disappointment. The only service that was great was the valet but we couldn’t even call down to get our car cause the phones in our room were broken. The service was non existent. The food, if it even made it to us, was terrible. I don’t recommend staying here. Or eating here. Or doing anything here.

Traveling w/ a friend, excited to introduce her to Montage, & booked late at night while traveling a long distance. I accidentally selected prior night. When arrived the next day, we learned we were marked as no-shows & forfeited the entire prepaid reservation. I explained the mistake. What shocked me was Montage’s response. They were not sold out the prior night, had availability when we arrived, yet refused to apply any portion of the substantial amount I already paid toward our stay. Their explanation Housekeeping prepared the suite for our anticipated arrival the prior day. I offered to pay an additional cleaning charge. They still refused. Their only “accommodation” was an offer to keep us in the same suite I paid for at what they described their “lowest rate.” That rate was essentially as much as I had already paid. We checked their own website & rooms were being offered at rates comparable to the prior night. In other words, their solution was effectively I pay for the stay twice. Hotels.com spent almost 30 minutes trying to reach a reasonable resolution w/ them, then apologized & advised that Montage refused to make any further accommodation. I understand cancellation policies, & the booking error was mine. But policies exist for a reason. So does discretion. Luxury hospitality should be defined by judgment, service & how guests are treated when something goes wrong. Montage distinguished itself in exactly the opposite way. I will not book Montage again & not rec it.
