Pero por sobre todo destacó la amabilidad y la atención del personal: siempre dispuesto a dar soluciones a nuestras consultas y la comida muy buena. Definitivamente volveríamos!

I received a room on the ground floor, located next to the restaurant. During the night there were frequent noises, including clattering of dishes and cutlery. It was a basic room l, not nearly 4 stars as was advertised by Expedia.

Very noisy. Room and bathroom are very small. It does the job for a night or 2 if you are planing for a quick visit and are not staying in the room. It is very important to know that the restaurant is an open area in the middle of the hotel. You hear it all. Until late at night. Upside: walkable to plaza mayor and other staple monuments and Botin 😀

This is an adorable property right on the Calle Cava Baja, which is full of wine bars and restaurants. The rooms are small but well-appointed and comfortable, and the bathrooms are very modern and luxurious. Just downstairs is an enoteca with traditional tapas and wine. The Posada is an easy 5min walk to Plaza Mayor as well.

Rooms fresh and clean, comfy bed and the shower was great and roomy with lovely Clarins toiletries. Staff were very friendly and helpful and held our luggage on the last day after checking out as our flight was later on in the day.

I really hate to do a negative review because I believe sometimes you happen to catch an employee on a bad day or maybe something was missed on a given day. I do not believe that was the case with this property. We had to go to the sister property next door to get access to the property where we'd made a reservation. That in itself is inconvenient enough after traveling all day but there was no signage advising me of that setup. When we finally got to the room it smelled of sewage. We checked out 15 minutes after we checked in. When I went to check out, the woman working the desk simply checked me out; she didn't ask if there was a problem or anything she could do to fix the situation (although realistically there probably wasn't). That dynamic led me to believe that this is something they're used to having happen which, to me, is not a good sign. If I could say anything positive about the hotel / my experience it would be the property did not make it difficult to receive a refund.

Excellent location. Really nice, small "boutique" hotel but some of the "quirkiness" of the hotel created a few "impracticalities".... Where do I put my wash bag... Are you ok with having a number 2 with your significant other only a frosted glass screen away... BUT - the good and location would see me stay again!

The breakfast was amazing with well balanced options of yogurt, nuts, fruits, freshly made omelette, bread and coffee. The location was the second best part of the hotel. The beds were very comfortable as well and looked to be of premium quality as we had very good sleep! Overall a great stay!

The location of the property is excellent. You have unlimited drink and food options on the Cava Baja. The rooms are very small and a bit claustrophobic as there is no outside window. You would definitely be sacrificing for the location but again, location is excellent and the staff is friendly.

We've spent 1 night at the hotel and appreciated the comfy bed and pillows, and luggage storage option in the lobby. It was a bit weird the bathroom setup: sink in the main area and shower and toilet only having non-transparent glass walls, but fine for 1 night.

This was a real surprise for the price and a really great boutique experience. The room (one of the larger ones with a balcony) was comfortable modern and great. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location - walking distance to san miguel market and most of the city center there. Luckily was able to check in a little bit early which was needed due to my very early flight. I was only there 2 nights but bed was comforatble and staff was nice.

WiFi was good. Room was good. Good bed, shower, safe and fridge. Plenty of clothes hangers. On the down side there is a charge for the water, which seems a bit stingy. Breakfast was ok. Service was not great, no showing you to your room or any of that customer service. One time at breakfast my bread was stuck in the toaster and the tall waiter dismissively pointed at the tongs and rolled his eyes at me. The tongs were metal and putting metal tongs in a toaster is asking for trouble. It was a normal household toaster, not one of the fancy hotel conveyor belt ones. The same thing happened to a woman the next morning. I purposely say the tall waiter, as the shorter one with the earring was a nice man. The worst part of this hotel is the street noise. My room was a balcony room at the front. Don’t make the same mistake I did (and I paid extra for that type of room!) Was not able to get to sleep until 4am. Constant shouting outside, a few doors down there was a yapping dog and there’s a big light above the bedroom door that can’t be turned off. I asked to swap rooms after the first night and the receptionist with the bullring in her nose was very dismissive, saying it was exceptional circumstance last night. I wish I’d played it safe and stayed at one of the big hotel chains. I wouldn’t stay here again for free.

Constant shouting outside, a few doors down there was a yapping dog and there’s a big light above the bedroom door that can’t be turned off. I asked to swap rooms after the first night and the receptionist with the bullring in her nose was very dismissive, saying it was exceptional circumstance last night. I wish I’d played it safe and stayed at one of the big hotel chains. I wouldn’t stay here again for free.

Great location - walking distance to san miguel market and most of the city center there. Luckily was able to check in a little bit early which was needed due to my very early flight. I was only there 2 nights but bed was comforatble and staff was nice.

Fabulous hotel .. great location. As it's in Old Madrid, most 'tourist' must see places are within short walking distance, as are several Metro stations and lines. Staff super friendly and helpful. Balcony rooms overlooking Cava Baja allow you to be in the heart of the local tapas/ restaurant/bar scene. Hidden gem.

The rooms are small but well-appointed and comfortable, and the bathrooms are very modern and luxurious. Just downstairs is an enoteca with traditional tapas and wine. WiFi was good. Room was good. Good bed, shower, safe and fridge. Plenty of clothes hangers. On the down side there is a charge for the water, which seems a bit stingy. Breakfast was ok. Service was not great, no showing you to your room or any of that customer service. One time at breakfast my bread was stuck in the toaster and the tall waiter dismissively pointed at the tongs and rolled his eyes at me. The tongs were metal and putting metal tongs in a toaster is asking for trouble. It was a normal household toaster, not one of the fancy hotel conveyor belt ones. The same thing happened to a woman the next morning. I purposely say the tall waiter, as the shorter one with the earring was a nice man. The worst part of this hotel is the street noise. Very kind staff, clean room, comfy bed. If you want to be steps away from bars and restaurants then this is the hotel for you. Don’t count on functional AC in your room. Street does get noisy at night and you’ll hear it all if in a balcony room with the balcony door open because it’s hot and AC is a myth.

I had the best stay at this cute boutique hotel. It was in a great area close to so many Tapas places, stores and Plaza Mayor. My room and balcony were amazing. The bed and pillows were 15/10! I got the best sleep and the hotel was very quiet & peaceful. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be staying here again. 10/10
