Easy, secure parking. Naomi the receptionist was extremely welcoming and informative. Room was clean on arrival but we had to ask for more coffee pods. Towels were not changed during our 2 night stay, for eco purposes we were ok with that but if you are fussy about fresh towels daily you’ll probably have to ask. All restaurant staff were lovely, food was good but the menu does not change. Spa area very basic so a bit annoying that after a swim/sauna there are no showers so you have to walk back to your room in a wet swimsuit. However plus points are that it’s very dog friendly, lovely grounds and about a 25 minute walk into the old town.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting and within 20 minutes' walk to the city of Tours. The bedroom was lovely, very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. We had constant problems with the TV and despite the staff looking at it three times it still didn't switch on consistently. The pool area was OK, although the sauna was not working during our stay and there weren't any spa treatments advertised - we didnt actually have time to have a massage etc so it wasn't a huge problem but the desk in the wellness area was never manned to even ask for details. It was awkward getting a drink from the bar in the evening if you weren't dining. The bar was difficult to access as it's in one of the rooms used for the restaurant and the cheese trolley was placed in the way. There were plenty of lovely places to sit in the lounge, sunroom or outside but it was definitely aimed more at diners rather than having a drink or two during the evening. The breakfasts were good quality with a large range of cooked and continental food available.

**"The name 'chateau' is misleading – this is just a hotel. Even the 'chateau' rooms are not of a high standard and lack any special atmosphere. During our trip, we stayed in several real chateau’s, and this one does not meet the standards. The spa was crowded and not clean. The only good thing was the hotel’s restaurant."**

Une vue de la chambre collée à l’Ehpad alors qu’il s’agissait d’une occasion spéciale… Poussière partout Bouteille d’eau vide laissée sur un meuble Piscine très petite et extérieur aménagé avec des chaises en plastique. Zimmer im Château war okay. Dusche und Bett gut. Nur der Teppich im Zimmer sollte mal ersetzt werden, der war voller Flecken. Es ist etwa 3 km zum Zentrum, was aber für uns als Wanderer nicht schlimm war. Parken war gratis und es gab viele Plätze. Das Château sieht von außen schön aus, aber es ist eingebaut zwischen neueren, nicht so schönen Gebäuden.

Beautiful hotel tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood. We caught the tram downtown and were able to explore Tours quite easily. We had a suite that was so roomy along with a huge bathroom. We used the spa everyday to swim and relax. It was very clean and quiet. The gardens were so well kept and beautiful!

Le positif : L’hôtel est très beau, les chambres sont super spacieuses et l’accueil était vraiment au top. Super bon rapport qualité prix. Restaurant super bon, et accessible niveau tarif. Petit déjeuner très complet. Et personnel très sympathique à l’accueil du pdj. Parking disponible et pratique Super cadre très paisible et joliment entretenu. Le négatif : Nous avions laissé notre chien dans la chambre le temps du petit déjeuner, pendant ce temps malheureusement la femme de chambre est entrée dans la chambre (alors que nous n’avions pas encore fait notre checkout) ce qui a permis à mon chien de partir en courant. Ils nous ont finalement appelé pendant le petit déjeuner pour qu’on puisse le rechercher avec eux. Résultat un chien en panique, des maîtres aussi, à part la femme de chambre qui s’est excusé plein de fois, personne ne l’a fait, et aucun geste d’excuse n’a été fait. C’est dommage, le client après une situation comme ça ne devrait même pas avoir à le réclamer. Je recommande quand même l’hôtel et y ai mis une bonne note car le reste du temps l’hôtel était super. Et je ne souhaite pas en baisser la note. PS: Aussi, attention au responsable de salle au restaurant, quand vous parlez à votre serveuse en disant « avec le chien c’est dehors » quand elle nous propose de s’installer dedans ou dehors, on vous entend ;)

We did not get what we expected - one front desk gentleman seemed annoyed with us, the first night we opted to eat dinner at the hotel - it was not good-some other guests shared the same opinion. the next morning for breakfast the eggs were severely undercooked and they looked like “soup”. The buffet was sub par. Clearly not enough staff in dining rooms to keep up with the amount of guests eating there - I thought we were ending our month long trip with a resort- we did not feel we were in a resort which was also a shared facility for a senior retirement home and assisted living. we have nothing against that but was very surprised to see- overall we won’t be returning - they need to do something about their food and add more staff- they were overwhelmed at dinner and breakfast.

Terrible overnight experience with my family. Arrived after travelling all day to find there restaurant was fully booked! Too tired we ordered room service which took over an hour to come and when it my children food was cold and had no cutlery. Our food looked like left overs. The bar service was very slow. Such a shame as it’s looks a very nice hotel just didn’t have enough staff maybe???

Great property in a built up area but peaceful. Lacking attention to detail on upkeep and maintence and looks like it’s seen better days. To be honest, it seems there’s a staff challenge, service is chaotic, dinner was average at best wanting to deliver far more, service at dinner was mayhem! Gardens look unloved, outside areas need a good bit of attention, room was great. Value for money for a quick night stop but could deliver so so much more.

The hotel is absolutely fantastic - location is perfect (for those travelling by car though), hidden from any roads, closed territory, beautiful chateau and the new building, very nice rooms, super comfortable. Breakfast is average, big deal is the egg station (possibility to order eggs in different shapes) - otherwise it would have been as average (if not bad) as everywhere in France. What was absolutely not understandable for me are the overall skills of the personnel (waiters mostly - the impression was, that all of them were hired yesterday - terrible service at dinner, just terrible. However, would like to say special thanks to the woman serving at breakfast (from Ukraine), sorry don't know the name - great service and attitude, like it should be. But overall, the hotel is great.

Très moyen. Petit déjeuner à 26 euros pourquoi pas mais Pas de grille pain pas de fruits pressés pas d’œufs mis à part des œuf brouillés qui n’en sont pas ( cuits à l’extrême ) Très peu de choix. On demande à prendre un apéritif dehors le jour de l’arrivée, personne ne vient prendre la commande. Je vais donc au bar pour commander un gin tonic à 15 euros. On me l’amène et me le pose sur un table très sale sans mettre un coup de lavette. Bref très moyen. Les chambres sont propres et fonctionnelles avec des lit de 140. Rien d’extraordinaire.
