Overall, a very good stay. The reception staff were friendly and helpful, the location is excellent, and the room was clean and had a very comfortable bed. I stayed on floor 6 (top floor) which is very unusually decorated. The hotel generally would benefit for from a little modernization, but I would happily stay here again. Great value for money.

Nice hotel that is conveniently located within a 1 minute walk from the train station, but also tucked away to avoid the noise. Room was very spacious and the shower was wonderful. Air conditioning was a little weak, but sufficient. Would happily stay here again!

The hotel is in a very convenient position to the main train station - a 3 minute walk. The staff person checking us in was unfriendly and generally unhelpful in telling us what facilities we could use in the hotel. The other staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. There was no way to boil water in our room to make a cup of tea. (only a coffee pod machine) Only on our last day, did one staff member give us an electric kettle to take to our room. The air-con unit in the ceiling started to drip water into the room on our last day. Staff fixed the problem but it was a disturbance and it appeared to be a recurring problem. Overall, the hotel was fine for our stay. The room was spacious and in keeping with a hotel that is very old, but has been renovated and maintained in keeping with its heritage.

Hotel is nice, staff is friendly, location is near train station, convenient but a lot of weird and homeless people around so don’t feel very safe. Rooms are clean, bathrooms also, in a good condition. The breakfast is the downside, poor, limited and nothing is really tasty. We end up eating at the cafes.

This lovely « old » hotel is full of wonderful surprises! The atmosphere of the lobby takes one back to an elegant era—elegant staircase, spacious entry area, lovely dining area and tea in the afternoon! When one goes into the bedroom, however, the upgrades to the bathroom and sleeping area are exactly what a traveler needs to be comfortable. The staff at the hotel is first rate, very attentive and prompt to handle a request. Great find!

Nice hotel. Not much in the area but we walked to the old town and you can walk also to the ouchy port by the lake ( about 30 min). The room came with a free subway pass which we used a few times ( the station is across the street) clean and renovated. Big spacious room. Small breakfast buffet which looked ok.
