We had a very relaxed and comfortable stay in this older style hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and we were able to park outside our room. However parking spaces seem to be insufficient if the motel is full. The only fault we found was the shower head, which was difficult to use.

The room we had was in alot of need of updating. Clean and tidy, however, needs a revamp. Always got a parking spot. Convenient to shops, everything was in walking distance. Staff friendly.

Overall good property. Certainly require modernising bathrooms. Only then it would be worth the tariff they charge. Wi-Fi requires stronger modem and boosters. Pool is smaller than the perception through photos.

I can see everything was all newly renovated, was clean, tidy and had good amount of amenities. Even a small pool you can enjoy. Was bit noisy outside in early morning saturday due to other residents being inconsiderate but I won't hold that against the motel. I will recommend a (be considerate to your neighbours sign though). Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay and was 2 mins away from everything. Will recommend!

Was not my best experience at a motel. Started with getting a call from receptionist at 5.30pm while im driving to notify me she wont be there and what room im in even tho the txt was a 7pm checkin and the office has 8pm hours on it. It seemed more about accommodating her going home early then the customers needs. Parking is not really good. No plug for sink even tho they supply washing up stuff. Light in kitchen area basically non existence.

The room iself was very nice but corners of the room and windowsills were very dirty and congested with dust and fluff. There was a lot of unsightly junk in the back yard which we could see from our window.

I keep coming back to Soldiers so that says it all. The staff are wonderful and the motel is clean and quiet. My room was amazing (I got a special one!). Highly recommended.

Great location wish easy walking distance into town. Checkin was easy and bed was very comfortable. Downside was that the cutlery was dirty on arrival and smell of cigarette smoke wafted in from the front door (smokers outside or adjoining room I assume).

Old room and bed to match. The mattress protector had many pilled cotton ( tiny cotton balls) that stuck into you when lying on the bed. I pulled the sheets back to see what it was and in addition to that, there was someones scab or dried snot in the mattress protector. Very thin walls, could here the guests in the room above me and the air conditioned was to loud. Workmen rummaging out the back in the shed early was disturbing as was the cleaning lady that just used her key and walked in without even knocking at 10.02am. Don't stay here, it's the same price for much better quality hotels around Mudgee. Room 12.

Motel was about $30 dearer than it was worth. Rooms did not have a decent chair to sit in and the shower was a shocker - a dribble of constantly varying temperature. Otherwise OK

The room we were allocated was not the one appearing in the photo on this site. It was Room no 4 and needed a renovation, like most of the other rooms in the motel. It had nowhere to put your luggage. The shelf formerly there had been ripped out and not replaced. The bathroom needed a renkvation also, the bath had scratches all over the bottom. We were ectremely disappointed with this room allocation, given we paid the same price as other friends who stayed in a number of other rooms for the same period. I am also a long time member with Hotels.com and feel that we were badly let down in this case.

I enjoyed my stay and found the room clean and comfortable. The bed was very cosy and I was impressed with the overall room size. It would have been nicer if the shower was separate to the bath, particularly if range of movement and physical abilities are somewhat limited.

Neat and tidy motel however we stayed two nights. We left early in the morning returning at 2.30pm to find our room had not been cleaned. On reporting to the reception we were told the housekeeping staff left an hour ago therefore the room would not be cleaned. Whilst out for dinner two new towels were delivered to the room but that was all - no bed made or room cleaned.

I stayed here with my family of six people in two rooms. The receptionist was fantastic on arrival and gave us both rooms early and was very pleasant and accommodating. As was the cleaning staff. She was more than happy to help with any of our needs. Will definitely stay here again. Great staff great motel. and it was just a short walk to club Mudgee where the food was excellent will definitely be coming back

A very comfortable few nights at the Soldiers motel. Location is great. Five minutes walk to the main streets of restaurants- not to mention a good pub over the road. Good sized room with a queen and single bed, good amenities and thoughtful and selective servicing. One negative was the shower - very ordinary. Overall a good stay ( but nowhere cheap anymore)

We believe in value for money and the Soldiers Motel lived up to this very well. Our room was clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable and the shower hot. The motel is in a great position close to the centre of town so an easy walk to shopping and restaurants.

A lovely, sandstone motel in a great location. Clean with comfortable beds. Friendly staff and quiet location but still within easy walking distance to Mudgee centre and shops. Lots of close dining options as well. Would definitely stay here again!
