Stayed 2 nights

The onsen was the best I’ve ever been in. The outdoor “wood spas” with about 10 different minerals and essential oils was absolutely fantastic. My only gripe is that the half board meals are identical day to day. I only stayed 2 days, so I’m not sure how frequently the food items change. I will say the selection is giant. Because I’m used to places that change the food options daily.. I tried to eat through the whole buffet on the first day, trying little bits of everything. Had I realized it didn’t change, I would have just had larger portions of some items and tried other stuff the next day.

The checkin process and the staff at the front desk were very nice and accommodating. There was a lot of water damage along the windows in the lobby with the floor boards left to rot. The room was very old and could use some serious upgrades. The bathroom was very, very dated as well. The buffet was mediocre at best and the food was the same every night without a single change. The onsen facility was very nice, especially the outdoor portion. It was magical in the snow.
