While the place on the surface looks nice, the Captains Cottage was situated near service entrance which made early mornings noisy with trucks and drop offs and also near the bins. In addition the wifi was pretty much non existence and staff was not very helpful when we brought it up. Finally the place was a little damp - smelling a little mouldy especially near the kitchen/fridge area.

The room we stayed was not clean enough - also smelt mouldy, particularly the carpet and bathroom. The reception guided us to the wrong room. At the restraunt the food we got served was in poor size compared to people around us, even we ordered the exact same dish.

This was our second stay at Seahorse Inn, and it was just as fabulous as the first. Honestly, we wished we had stayed here the whole weekend instead of heading further north where we were disappointed. Both times we’ve visited (a year apart), the food has been consistently tasty and great quality. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating, which makes such a difference to the overall experience. The hotel itself is excellent value, the rooms are lovely, and the beachfront location is absolutely beautiful - it honestly feels like you’re on a secluded island. The vibe on the beach was magical. We’ll definitely be back again.
