Host was lovely. Hot tub was great. Sauna was awesome.

The Inn is gorgeous, the staff is wonderful, the renovations were a bit disruptive and the sauna was unavailable because of the renos.

Overall, the Lady MacDonald is a nice location to stay at. Comfortable rooms, nice hot tub, great breakfast. Some of the wellness offerings are a bit out there for my taste (clairvoyance readings), but otherwise a pleasant stay.

I would highly recommend this as a great place to stay. Affordable relative to all the options in Banff. Great breakfast. A lot of nice quiet areas to relax. Recent renovations add a lot to the property--especially liked the rooftop hot tub.

Great staff, I wish the hot tub was working during the cold weather, but things happen.

Probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Hot tub was amazing except having to get out to reset the timer.

The Inn is cute and quaint, and has a hot tub on the roof which we used both days of our trip. Warm breakfasts are prepared every morning, and they are delicious! The person who was serving breakfast, whose name I regrettably forget it to write down, is extremely polite, professional, and hospitable. The area surrounding the inn is fun and although our primary reason for this stay was to visit Banff national park, we ended up spending our last day in Canmore because we found it to be extremely fun.

Great location—easy walk to everything in Canmore and near a bus stop to Banff. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and delicious breakfasts. Hot tub with mountain views and sauna were nice extras.

Friendly staff, quaint environment, nice breakfast. The people in the room next to us were extremely loud until 2:30 am and then up at 7:00 playing music. The walls are so thin I heard both sides of a phone conversation. Didn’t notice the complimentary ear plugs until after breakfast. The room had a very strong “chemical smell” that was very unpleasant.

Beautiful location. Well maintained. The hot tub and sauna are a lovely bonus. The staff go above and beyond, not to mention friendly. Very happy with everything. Zero complaints. Will definitely recommend to others and come back.

The towels that we used had some hair on it when we are wiping our face after showering. Then only 1 small garbage can provided. We are in the end unit beside the exit and it was really noisy people outside are yelling til 2am. Staff are very helpful and breakfast was really good.

Staff were friendly. Good breakfast. Room had old, thrown together furniture, dusty dried flowers, and worst of all stained, stale-smelling bathroom towels. Would not stay here again.

Everything is as described in the pictures and description of the property. The inn was immaculately clean, organized and quaint. The rooms were beautiful, bed was comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The hot tub is outside on the upper floor with a beautiful view of the mountains. I would highly recommended staying here!

What spoiled it for me was there was a generator or other machinery running on the other side of the wall which while not particularly loud was intrusive in the quiet of the night and disturbed my sleep. The shower hardware (water control and shower head) was tired. The breakfasts were excellent.

Really charming inn and amazing food. Just careful about your room as our backed into the laundry and the dryer running at night was not the best.

This is, overall, a charming B&B in Canmore. PROS: (1) No issues with parking or check-in. (2) The staff was courteous. (3) The room was lovely, clean, and cozy, as are the common areas. (4) The breakfast options are good and served quickly, and there is a beverage bar (including coffee and teas) that guests can access 24 hours a day. (5) Personally, I appreciated the "no shoes" policy especially since they also provide clean slippers. (6) It is walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, views, and bike trails. CONS: POV-My room was on the ground floor and I'm a light sleeper. (1) The guests above me were loud--"hard walkers" who also appeared to be moving furniture around all night and early morning (?!). I appreciated the earplugs, but the fact that I would need them while on vacation is a red flag. (2) Forget about sleeping in after a long day of hiking as some of the noise from outside your room travels. (3) Please replace the mattress ASAP. It was awful, like sleeping on a marshmallow or bean bag. Thankfully, there was a foam blanket in the closet I was able to fold into a cushion to provide some back support during my week there. (4) Despite signing up for the earliest breakfast slot, I felt subtly rushed; I couldn't really sit and enjoy my breakfast and morning view beyond 25-30 min. I liked this B&B but would only recommend staying here if you can book a quiet room upstairs or are not a light sleeper!

Staff were great, hot coffee and tea available all day, great breakfasts too. Beds could be more comfortable but that could also bd a personal preference. Would stay here again nk problem.

Amazing bed and breakfast with great team on site. However the furniture will need some upgrade. The beds were squeaky and the mattress was very much not recommended for someone with back problems. Could make some minor improvements to make the experience more comfortable. It was located just 20min away from Banff downtown which was great.

Very well maintained property, however the rooms are very small. Service is very good and breakfast was really good as well.

Beautiful place. Very quiet. Staff was top notch! Breakfast was phenomenal! Highly recommend. Only complaint is that the room was a bit stuffy. The a/c unit didn't cool it adequately and was a bit noisy.

Nice and central. Staff was great and breakfast super! Only thing we didn’t like was the bed. It was comfy enough but every time you rolled over in the night the whole frame moved and shook. Needless to say we didn’t sleep well.

A wonderful B&B in the heart of downtown Canmore. They served an excellent gourmet breakfast. The room was cozy. Unfortunately the bed was small and very uncomfortable. Local road traffic could be heard throughout the night and we were woken up early to the roar of a train going by.

Everywhere in Canmore looks like a great location and this is no exception. The front desk closes often so if you plan to leave your bag here before check in (like I did), don’t expect anyone to be here. They don’t help you with your luggage and there is no elevator. It’s clean and quiet. You get two physical keys - one to front door and one to your room. They don’t show you anything without specifically being asked (like how to turn on the air conditioning, or if window opens, or how the tv works or even mention wifi passwords).

The staff is not available after 7pm. Due to that the check in process becomes difficult. The coffee kept in the dining room for guests was at the room temprature at early morning hours. Again, there was no staff.

The building is lovely, the room is homey and comfortable. The concierge was extremely kind and helpful. We were coming from five days of camping and all our clothes were dirty. She let us wash them that evening in the inn’s laundry facility. Very nice.

I liked the cleanliness, breakfast, and location however the staff needs to be more polite. I received rude replies to multiple questions or requests I had. The indoor slippers had run out and the ones I left on the rack had disappeared and I asked if there were more and the staff said I am not your slave. Similar response when asking for an extra bath towel and I had to reuse the same towels from the night before because the towels were not replaced.

We had a wonderful time, the place is nice and clean. Staff is excellent and caring. They accommodated our situation with an early check in. We stayed in the Grassi Lake room and it was fabulous, beautiful fireplace and loads of room. We certainly enjoyed our 2 day stay and recommend.

Staff is quite curt and abrupt! Not super friendly. Our fireplace did not work when we checked in. When I mentioned that the reason we has booked this room in particular was because of the fireplace...I was abruptly told "all the rooms had fireplaces" well...hello, our's wasn't working!! They eventually called someone from maintenance to fix it. On a positve note, the breakfast was AMAZING!!!!!!!! and the facility was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Rooms were so so so quiet!!

Staff is absolutely amazing, front desk, kitchen, serving breakfast, just amazing peeps. Breakfast is top notch, great location, hot tub and saina and maintenance is 10 out 10. Thank you.

Location was very good - within easy walking distance to Downtown. Breakfast was decent. Room was spacious and well equipped.

Lady McDonald is close to many businesses making it walkable to many dining, shopping options. It was awesome to use the rooftop jacuzzi after a long day hiking and seeing the three sisters mountains as your view. The breakfasts offered were delicious and the staff was accommodating to every need. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Some rooms do not have air conditioning but those are stated while booking and they do provide an oscillating fan for use. The train runs through the night but they also provide ear plugs for convenience. I wasn’t too bothered by it. Overall I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area.

Great location like a 10/15 min walk to downtown canmore lots of restaurants and cute shops. Also around the hotel places to eat. The breakfast each morning is so good, had different smoothies as well. Highly recommend this place

Enjoyed a few nights here. Everything you need is within walking distance. Downtown is about 12-15 minutes to walk. The room was cozy. There is a door to the deck, but no chairs to sit and enjoy a coffee. The room was very hot, and the door had no screen to keep it open for fresh air, otherwise it would of been just right. Breakfast was great. Staff is wonderful. Some rooms look newly renovated.

The breakfast staff and front desk were great. I could easily hear many of the other guests in the building. The no shoe policy was a bit of a hassle. Road construction around the building was a pain. The room was much smaller than expected.

Very friendly staff and accommodating to our diet as they made an excellent vegan breakfast for our family. Room was cosy and clean. We would definitely recommend this Inn to our friends and family and will visit again soon.

The hotel was lovely, however the dining was really lacling, which made the stay a little less remarkable. Luckily there were options in the area and not too far out.

Attention to detail in the room, amenities and breakfast was fantastic. For the price point, this charming bed and breakfast style hotel was perfection. Could be a tad loud due to the railroad, but the small detail of providing complimentary earplugs shows how much thought was put into the whole experience. Breakfast is a set course everyday, and was refined and delicious, a highlight of the stay. Highly recommend!

We stayed there just for 2 nights but it was amazing time. Our room was renovated, had very comfy king size bed! And smart tv and wifi. Everything was amazing and breakfast was better than I expected. Everyday was something different, portions were good and this place has the best tea I’ve ever tried! I will recommend this place for everyone. Truly recommend!

A wonderful change from corporate and condo rental accommodations. Included is the different freshly cooked breakfast served every morning at a time of your choice. Enjoy the available coffee and selection of teas while relaxing in the main sitting room or enjoy the available sauna and hot tub. Thank you to the entire staff as we truly enjoyed our stay. breakfast starts at 8am that's when they will start cooking. We asked if they could make our breakfast shortly before 8am as we are going to catch our booked tour but the staff declined our request because it has to be at 8am (thats just ridiculous!). Just go somewhere else more comfortable ambience to sleep and cleaner room if you want to enjoy your vacation. This place needs renovation.

This hotel is Super 8 quality with grossly inflated prices. The breakfast was terrible with one of the worst "grilled cheese sandwiches" we have every consumed, followed by the soggiest of French toasts. The bed was not made properly. At the high price one would think that every detail would be carefully monitored and delivered.

Food- Breakfast was choice of hosts and we weren’t impressed at being told what we have to eat. So no choice. Large selection of teas but no English breakfast tea. Room comfortable with large bathroom with great shower. Bed really comfortable. Very good sleep.
