It was a very nice hotel. The hotel pool and room were extremely clean and felt very luxurious nice amenities like ice and water also a well stocked vending machine will definitely stay again was lucky to have the pool room to ourselves during the day and was happy to see even though the hotel is smoke free there are spots on the property further away from the hotel to smoke

I will say that the hot tub and pool are usually above average. This stay I was extremely sad to say it didn’t look like the pool/hot tub area had been cleaned. It seemed ok until I got in and noticed the about of dirt around the water’s edge.

Friendly front desk agent, excellent room, very clean. My only issue was the hot tub jets were not jetty at all and that was my main reason for choosing this hotel. Over all it was a great little place to stay at.

We stay here several times a year as it is convenient to taking our daughter back to University. We usually don't have time to use the pool but this stay we did. Most hotels we've stayed at have very small pools but this one is nicely sized. They also have a hot tub and dry sauna. I nice way to unwind after a long drive. Will make sure to make time to use these more going forward.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Staff were friendly and approachable. The hotel was quiet and close to food/grocery stores. The pool was rented out during the day for a life guard class (which we thought was odd), so access was a bit limited…but this didn’t impede our stay! We enjoyed this trip and would highly recommended the Visitors Inn!

We loved staying at this welcoming hotel. The staff were friendly and the room spacious and very clean. The TV had great reception and good apps. My husband enjoyed the gym and the pool was lovely. There was plenty of easy parking outside. Special mention of the restaurwnt staff. Lovely food with excellent service.

The bed was damaged, with a large divot in it making it very uncomfortable to sleep in. There was some mold in the shower, and a strange smell from the bath soaps. Also, the room I was in was very close to the laundry area, and had very poor acoustic insulation, so it was quite loud at night. I don't know if it was just the one room with these issues; the rest of the hotel seemed clean and well-kept, and the staff themselves were friendly and helpful.

Stains on the towels. Had to move rooms in the middle of the night because the smell of cigarettes was so strong. And the smell still came in went in the second room we were moved to, im not sure if its because of bad insulation or coming through the air vents.

The room was great, and the overall hotel was very clean. The kids enjoyed the pool. The outside surrounding area was a little noisy. The service at the desk, kitchen, and cleaning staff were very prompt, friendly, and accommodating.

Very convenient location. Near highway & close to McMaster. There was noise from cars driving by on road at night. The rooms on other side of hall maybe quieter. The hallways & stairwells were very clean & had a fresh smell . Would recommend. Parking lot had curbs under reconstruction. Was almost completed.

Room was fine but the mattress was horrible. I’ve stayed at this hotel over the past seven years when I travel to Hamilton and this was the worst night at this location. That mattress should be thrown out. By the time I got myself settled and into bed it was after 1:30 AM and it was not an appropriate time to request a room change. I did bring it up to the person at the front desk when I was checking out and they were surprised, but at the same time didn’t even care enough to offer some sort of compensation. A little bit apathetic to be honest. I also was very surprised to see a security guard, walking around the lobby and sitting in the front lobby. If something‘s going on, it’s not a good sign. I will reconsider booking this hotel for future trips.

I booked a room for my brother, myself, and my two nephews for Saturday. I wanted to pay ahead so that it was an easy check in, so I called ahead on Thursday. The staff member I spoke with over the phone informed me that my card would be charged on the Friday for the cost of the room, which it was. However, when I arrived on Saturday, I was told I had to pay an additional $200 deposit on top of what I'd already paid. The concierge was incredibly unwelcoming and unsympathetic to the situation. Fortunately, I was refunded (still waiting for the money to go back on my card but that's due to my bank) and we were able to use another credit card to pay for the room. There's also no breakfast included and I wasn't informed by the concierge what time breakfast ended. They just said we could eat in the restaurant. The hospitality staff were the nicest staff members we interacted with in the entire hotel. They stayed open late and offered to serve us breakfast as long as we ordered quickly. The concierge in the morning was more accomodating, allowing us a late checkout, but still not friendly. I didn't feel welcomed at the Visitors Inn and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone else. I also didn't love staring at a United States of America flag that was posted outside my window.

Was a good stay for a night as I had an appointment in Hamilton. There is a highway right behind the Hotel that makes for loud traffic noise and it smelled like sewage outside, I was told this is normal for Hamilton prior to travelling there.

The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable, we had a great sleep. The location is great, easy to get to from the highway and close the McMaster Hospital where we had an appointment to attend.

Right off main highway. We went to a huge concert and walked down main street to it vs fight for parkibg etc. It was a 2km, 30 min walk but well lit and busy.

Getting into the hotel is a little strange, by way of a "bicycle lane / slip way just after traffic lights / bus stop!! Large billboard obscures hotel sign until the very last minute. Could prove dangerous in high traffic situations.

Check-in was friendly and efficient. Our room was a little musty but very clean. The pool is wonderful. And we have loved The Hungry Traveler restaurant in the hotel. Excellent food and service and we would stay here again for the delicious homemade meals. It’s not fancy but this hotel has the basics covered which was what we were looking for.

This is a great place to stay in Hamilton , it’s clean, rooms are great and staff are friendly. We are at the on site restaurant and the food was fantastic and our server was super friendly. Quick uber ride TD coliseum, walkable (25 min) in good weather. This is my second stay here and I would stay again

Restaurant was delicious. Unexpectedly, there was only one employee serving, taking orders AND making the food. She was grace under fire and so lovely.

Great stay, nicely maintained and updated property. Very clean and quiet. Breakfast was good but a little slow, fine for a casual morning.

We stayed one night so we could attend a Celebration of Life for a very dear Uncle. The front desk attendants were very friendly, polite & very sweet, especially the young lady who recommended places for us to eat walking distance from the hotel; very helpful. Our room was very clean & fresh with lots of pillows for comfort:) It was stated on the website when I paid for our room that there was a free continental breakfast included, but we had to pay for our breakfast:(

Booked this hotel for its close location to McMaster hospital. Staff was great but overall a little underwhelmed for a couple of reasons. No blackout curtains (travelling with a baby and nap/bedtime was impossible), restaurant and bar was closed on Tuesday. Lack of security cameras around back side of building (exterior door was in room) and no swing lock. Advertised on Expedia as included breakfast and a crib in room, we did not receive either. We checked out by 7am maybe breakfast started later? Hotel also did not have any extra pillows, not even 1 extra. Clean hotel but we had hoped for a little more.

The staff was very nice. The overall cleanliness is good as well. The main issue we had was there was a leak somewhere that would soak the entire bathroom floor when the shower was used. It was coming from the back corner of the tub at the floor. There was also black mold in the same location which leads me to believe that has been leaking for a while. Complimentary breakfast would have also been nice. Other Hotels in the area in the same price range do offer that.

Stayed here many times before, this was the first time in a family suite. Very spacious, comfortable, and convenient. Bathroom could have been cleaner, but really great stay overall. Will be back.
