Unfortunately, despite the decent ratings i'm giving them overall, there was a wedding on the night we stayed. This of course is a wondaful thing and we wish the happy couple the best. However we went to Briars to have a quiet night in the country, and if they had told us that our room would be directly above the wedding, in a very old, non-sound proofed room, then obviously we wouldn't have booked it. The noise was so loud that we could not even hear the TV. Better communication and honesty required!!

Briars continues to be a prime venue in the Bowral/Moss Vale area. We are regular guests now as it is always good to go to a place you know, without surprises. The outlook across the pond and grassed areas is spectacular.

Stayed in the executive suite, $710 for two nights. As soon as you opened the front door you were hit with a really bad moldy smell. Tried to open the windows but they all had been painted shut so unable to open them. I went to reception and was told no maintenance people were available, so it was like it or lump it as all the other rooms were booked. The exhaust fan in the toilet worked when it felt like it. The one in the main bathroom did very little to take any steam out and you could not open the windows in either bathroom. The internet was very good and easy to connect to. It is next to Briars Country Inn, and this was a fabulous place to eat, great food but noisy unless you sat in one of the smaller rooms behind the bar.

I was very disappointed with the restaurant. It has been many years since I was at Briars because of illness so goi g back to not having table service and without the old atmosphere was very upsetting!!! It has a cafeteria atmosphere. Awful. Motel rooms are in need of a lift. I slept under a very stained doona!! It is such a beautiful property and I appreciate things change but wish Briars had stayed as it was. J Carter.

Briars Country Lodge was a good choice for us we were going to a concert at Centennial Vineyards and the bus picks up from Briars. The lodge was competitively priced and whilst the room was clean and bed comfortable and had a pleasant view to the large pond, green lawn and trees thought the bathroom needed a makeover, water pressure was not great and shower head was basic, a few chips in the bath. The buffet breakfast was good, not the choices you get at a high end hotel but for $22 great value.

The room and view was really lovely. The heater made it warm and nice to sit and look out at the ducks and nice gardens. Buffet breakfast was tasty and well stocked. We would def stay again.

The complex is neat and tidy, the Taven was very good, noisy by it was a Saturday night and that was expected. The room are clean and well equipment but do look aged but still good .

This place is fantastic! Very comfortable room, comfy beds, good bathroom with bath, very warm room with 2 types of heating so we were very cozy! Lovely outlook onto the little lake, and it was great to have the pub right next door for dinner.

Our view of grass, trees , beautiful pond all the ducks and birds was so relaxing. The morning breakfast was delicious and everyone was so helpful. Only negative our bed was too hard and was not very comfortable.

Dated room but lovely location. 28$ per adult BF is too much especially only very limited choices for "English breakfast ". Staff at the conservatory on the day was not helpful trying to charge my 5 yr old full BF fee...Don't think we'll come back second time. Will go to Goulburn

The lodge was close to Bowral shops and in a nice spot that had nearby walking tracks. The pond in the property was peaceful and pretty. Briars Inn nearby had good food and atmosphere. Overall happy with our stay.

Beautiful and quiet property. Great getaway for a night or 2. Such an amazing place in this area and this location is perfect. There’s more expensive obviously but if you want simple, clean, dinner options, not fussy and the basics done well at a great price, then this is it.
