Pyramid Lake Lodge

Loved our stay but could have used a ramp to the lower floors for luggage. Everything else was terrific!

The lake and mountain views were wonderful. We enjoyed the coffee/hot chocolate machine and the many chairs on the dock. We also enjoyed the free canoeing! Our neighbors were being loud around 3am and woke me up, the staff kindly asked them to keep it down. Would stay again!

Pool and sauna are gross. There's nowhere to put outdoor shoes so everyone just wears them everywhere meaning the changerooms and sauna are full of outside mud and dirt. The sauna is more of a lukewarm room, which Max's out at 43 degrees....and again is full of mud. The lights surrounding the pool area are so bright they completely obstruct the view of Jasper's gorgeous night sky. For over 300 dollars a night...just stay in Hinton for half the price...

Pyramid lake was a perfect stay for us. Free coffee in the lobby and complimentary kayaking or bike rides were not expected but truly loved. It was very peaceful.

A wonderful hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely lake view. There are canoes and kayaks available to use and lots of hiking trails nearby. The on site restaurant is excellent. The only negative is the difficulty accessing the room with suitcases due to the gravel pathway, stairs and no ramps.

Our suite was amazing. The resort is clean and the cute little outdoor tub was nice and warm on a cold winter's night. They had skating and a fire pit. The complimentary tea and specialty coffees were also amazing. We will go back for sure!

Hot tub could be hotter and so could sauna. Other than that the resort is very maintained and decorated. Location is 5 star

Beautiful, private, and quiet. nice base of operations. Property is really nice with lots to do right there. Our SunDog tours picked us up right from the place even though it is a few miles outside Jasper. Rooms are a little older but clean. I think they are working on improvements throughout.

View was excellent, lots of stairs.

Beautiful lodge right on Pyramid Lake. Rooms are new, very clean. The hot tub is down by the lobby and there’s no walking path to it, so in the winter you do need to drive to it. Staff was excellent, would definitely stay again.

There was several mice running in the room, even over my blanket. It was a terrible night. I will never come back to this resort again

Live mice in the room. Found mice droppings inside the sofa bed in the evening. We immediately brought the issue to the front desk's attention. They had no room to move us to, and it was 10 p.m., so we had to stay in that room. The staff came and changed the sheets. They also had the mouse traps with them and asked us if we saw the mouse. They obviously knew about the mice being the issue. As we didn't see the mouse, they didn't install traps. In the morning, mice droppings were in the bathroom and on the top of the dresser in the bedroom, meaning live mice roamed around that room. When we talked to management, they said that's expected as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. We originally booked two nights but had to cancel the second night because we felt unsafe sleeping with mice running around. So if you have extra $600, you can definitely pay to share your bed with mice.

Quick check-in. Room was clean. Was able to easily moderate the room temperature. Restaurant was delicious.

It was okay. Room cleaning wasn't good. Just changed our Towels. Did not make up the bed and did not fill up Coffee or Tea. In 5 Days they not cleaned our Floor.

I get the impression that Pyramid Lake Lodge is aiming to present itself as a higher-end resort, largely because of its beautiful setting and stunning lake views. However, I found the service, amenities, and room quality to be fairly average and not reflective of the price point. There were noticeable maintenance issues in our room. Our coffee machine initially didn’t work. We also noticed water scale buildup on the shower walls, showerhead, and faucet; sections of wallpaper starting to lift; and tiles or mats curling up. I even lost my balance at one point after tripping on the uneven flooring. The lighting along the walkway from the rooms to the hot tub area was also quite dim, making it difficult and somewhat unsafe to navigate at night. In addition, housekeeping often left cleaning supplies piled on the floor outside our door, which looked quite unprofessional. While I understand that daily room turnover isn’t part of the service, I would still expect that basic items like coffee and tea be restocked and the bed made. It was disappointing to have to visit the front office to request such basic amenities. Overall, the location and scenery are exceptional, but the attention to detail and level of service need improvement for the lodge to truly meet the “higher-end resort” standard it appears to be striving for.

There was a huge blue stain on the carpet where I stayed and the towels also didn’t look fresh in the washroom because they also had stains on it when I entered. Management was great about replacing the bathroom towels and providing amenities (coffee, cutlery if needed) so that was wonderful.

My husband and I stayed one night with our 2 golden retrievers at the Pyramid Lake Lodge 1wk after they re-opened since the fires in Jasper. All of the staff were so welcoming, thankful and happy to be back-to-work. The property was beautiful, and our room had an amazing lake view with parking right beside the room. We loved the in-room fire and balcony, and the Rocky Mountain Soap Co. soaps in the shower. The water pressure was good, the bed was very comfortable, and our stay was peaceful. The only complaint was that someone had spilled lettuce on our balcony and it was not swept off prior to our stay. With dogs they will eat absolutely anything it is preferred that the room AND balcony be fully cleared of any food debris. We at the Aalto for breakfast. We were there for their first day re-opening, and were their very first customers to try their new menu. The breakfast (Benny and Classic) was absolutely delicious, and the service was great! Would highly recommend dining there during your stay. All in all it was a great experience. We would absolutely stay there again.

Great time to visit in November. The staff took the time to explain the features of the lodge. The room was very clean and simple. It covered all our needs for the stay.

Fabulous lakeside location. Large room with fridge and microwave. Downside was as we were on a lower floor we could constantly hear noise from room above walking around, kids running around. Wifi wasn't great. Expensive

Incredible view, lovely room.

I think your experience depends on what unit you get. If you are in a downstairs unit, the hotel is nowhere near worthy of the price. You can hear every move of the guests from the unit above you.

stunning location. gorgeous views. quiet and peaceful. we saw deer in the morning. beautiful space and amenities. rooms themselves were cramped and not in great shape. but management and people were absolutely wonderful whether at checkin, restaurant or boat hire. highly recommend this space.

Good place too stay and the room is nice. The issue we had was with the heating control, couldn't figure out how why it was getting warm even when it was turned off. The water pressure in the shower was absolute garbage. The wifi is not great, it was pointless to connect to itm Overall a nice place and location but 3 minors things made it really annoying.

Loved the views, quuen loft suite was pretty basic inside.

They didn’t clean the room even after requesting 2x. The one beds sheets had dried boogers on it and we ended up getting sheets and having to change our own bed. Customer service was very poor

Our stay at Pyramid Lake Lodge was fantastic. You cannot fully see the beauty of this property from the photos online. The lake and view of the mountains across the street is wonderful. They allowed us one free hour of use of their canoes etc for each night of stay. The kids enjoyed the beach. Internet can be off and on. We saw elk on the property both days we were there, the kids loved that as well. Close to town and nice walking trails nearby. Free latte machine and hot chocolate in the lobby. A beautiful sitting area out front with Muskoka Chairs around a gas fire pit and they offered free s’more kits each night for the kids to make s’mores. The pullout sofa wasn’t the most comfortable, but we found the beds to be extremely comfortable. Overall, a great experience!!

Pyramid Lake Road is absolutely stunning; however, the Pyramid Lake lodge is under renovation with little parking on a dirt slopping hill. The on-site restaurant,to our surprise , was closed and we had to order food in from town as we weren’t making that drive again. The staff are arrogant, patronizing, unprofessional, and unaccommodating. Spoke with the manager, and again, she was arrogant and patronizing! There was a lot of garbage around the grounds. If you want spent this kind of money for a hotel…..look elsewhere!! Manager thinks it’s a 5 star hotel, I would give it a 2. 2 star hotels treat you better and you get more amenities!

No one told us the restaurants were closed. We came from Edmonton and got there late. Since this hotel is out of the town of jasper, we didn’t have any options for food and didn’t plan for not being able to eat at the restaurant

The setting is amazing. The lake is beautiful, and other than during sunny days it's incredibly quiet. The hotel itself is in a great spot on the beach. Guests get an hour of free kayak or bike rental which is great and paddling on the lake is really a highlight. The hot tub is fine, but something of an afterthought. There are coits for the kids. Aalto, the on site restaurant is superb but is a relatively upscale scandi-inspired place so you won't want to eat there every night. The menu is limited but sublime (and relatively expensive). The room itself was a slight disappointment. Ours was slightly damp and smelled of wet dog. The water pressure in the shower was lacking and the WiFi is so poor it might as well not exist. Housekeeping is.on request but was efficient although for some reason despite booking for a family of 4 and then later specifically requesting four towels we were only given three. The staff are friendly but seemed overstretched during the busy summer season. Check in took 30 minutes and I had to agree to swap rooms with a woman in front of me to expedite the process. The lodges are two storeys and the rooms on the bottom suffer a LOT with noise from upstairs rooms. I was also disappointed that there was ongoing building work. It wasn't too intrusive but I wasn't told in advance. The whole place seems to be having a slight identity crisis. The price, setting and dining say luxury, the rooms say basic/rustic. Still had a great time though.

Surprise $70 extra in “taxes” when I arrived. Expect a $100 “damage deposit”, but to not get most of it back (without any inspection of your room). Would recommend if you don’t mind paying significantly more than you agree to.

Pyramid Lake Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. The location is outstanding and the staff is welcoming and helpful.

Beautiful scenic location, removed from the busyness of Jasper.

We only stay at Pyramid Lake now. Always quiet, clean and beautiful surroundings. Used to stay at the JPL but Pyramid Lake is as beautiful if not more so. Short drive out of the townsite, surrounded by excellent trails and scenery.

Nice quiet place on the lake.

Breakfast was not free, but it was amazing! Location was perfect with breathtaking views and nearby hiking.

We loved the location as it was away from town and very quiet and peaceful. If you are looking for a place to completely unwind, and be away from traffic and busyness of the town, this is ideal. The property is clean and modern. We stayed with cats and they absolutely loved hanging out by the lake and also walking along the wooded trails. We will definitely stay again.

Lodge is nicely located with easy access to the lake. It is a short distance to hiking trails and about 10-15 min drive to town. The rooms are slightly dated but cozy. Our room had a fireplace which was nice. We had access to canoe and bikes for 1 hour. However, the bikes did not have working brakes so would have been unsafe. The restaurant on site had very limited hours - no lunch/afternoon. However, the restaurant had good food…. On slightly pricy side but nicely cooked. Surpasses the quality of many other hotel restaurants by far. Also it took a while when we requested items - additional towel etc.

Really nice room and the lake is beautiful. Aalto the on site restaurant is fabulous and Jasper is only a $20 taxi ride away.

Beautiful area. Amazing food at the onsite restaurant Aalto. The room was just ok. Everything was clean but a little dated for the price. We were only there for one night so wasn’t a big deal. It was worth the location! Friendly check in and coffee provided in room and in the lobby.

Resturant overpriced and very few selections

Didn’t go to the hot tub. The restaurant wasn’t open. Breakfast was just a muffin or apple. Wrong time of year for those things.
