Akasaka Granbell Hotel

The hotel is very close to Akasaka-Mitsuke Station, making it easy to get around the city. It sits in a fairly busy area that offers everything you might need during your stay. A variety of shops, restaurants, and bars are right outside the hotel, and there’s even a well‑equipped Don Quijote just around the corner. The streets get livelier in the evening as people wander out for drinks to cool off after hot summer days. We didn’t really visit these places, but I noticed many of them close fairly early (around midnight), and the area becomes noticeably quieter afterward. You can hear some street noise in the rooms during the late evening—at least in the ones we stayed in—but it wasn’t disruptive in any meaningful way. The staff were extremely friendly and took great care of us. We had two separate bookings because we traveled to Okinawa for a few days, and the hotel stored our large luggage during that time, which made everything much easier. I can’t thank the staff enough for their help. The rooms have seen better days and feel a bit rustic, but you don’t spend much time in them anyway. For relaxing, sleeping, and freshening up, they served their purpose perfectly. During longer stays, the rooms are cleaned daily and kept very tidy. A standout detail is the lobby fridge with cold bottled water available anytime. It’s a simple but very thoughtful touch, especially in the intense summer heat.

This hotel is great for its location. Close to the metro and restaurants. However, it is getting a little tired and could do with a good steam clean, and possibly a refurb - outdated and very dark. The lighting really does need to be improved, and it needs more storage areas.

Good clean room with leg massage chairs, great for after a long day of roaming. Nice breakfast and water bottles available. Nice clean bathroom

Great room service and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend bringing an extension cord as there is only one outlet otherwise.

Akasaka Granbell was the perfect location. Located right next to Akasaka-Mitsuke station which made getting pretty much anywhere a breeze. The staff were excellent, breakfast was perfect start to the day - cereal, pastries, toast, coffee and juice. Cold water was available at all times throughout the day. The shower was amazing. The location for restaurants of all kinds couldn’t have been better. We moved to Nihonbashi area for the second week for our stay due to no availability at Akasaka Granbell, the Akasaka area was far superior for our needs. When I return to Tokyo I will try to stay at the Akasaka Granbell, but if unable to book will definitely stay in area. Only downside was no dining room, breakfast was to be eaten in room, but no bother.
