This is a nice bed and breakfast located on a coffee farm in Kona. Janine made delicious breakfasts every day that we enjoyed with a beautiful view of the ocean. The communication was great. There is a phone number provided that you can text with any questions or updates to what time you will want breakfast the following day. Parking is very easy in a small lot close to the units. The room itself was also nice. There is a dehumidifier so that it stays comfortable especially since you most likely will keep the windows open due to no AC. It was pretty warm during our trip and we didn’t feel like we needed air conditioning at all. There’s only about 5 units so it feels very private and lowkey. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we will be back next time we are visiting Kona.

This is a beautiful property on a hill overlooking a coffee farm with a view of the ocean in the distance. Heidi and Dan were outstanding hosts, available whenever we had any requests or questions, and if they didn't have an answer right away, they would look it up and get back to us pronto. They gave us a royal welcome at 10:30pm when we first arrived. And the 2 course gourmet breakfasts, absolutely out of this world! Every morning we had something different, cooked to utmost deliciousness. And unlimited quantities of fresh Kona coffee, which even this tea drinker enjoyed every morning.Even though it's just about 1/2 mi in from a main road, it is totally peaceful. I would do my daily breathing exercises in the fresh air every morning, and loved to sit out on the grass in front of our room in the evening. It's a perfect spot for stargazing, which I was thrilled to be able to do on a couple of the clear nights. The reason I didn't give a 5 star review, is the lack of appropriate signage when trying to find the driveway from the main road, especially at night. I would suggest 2 big signs on either side of the driveway with lighted letters so you can clearlysee the turnoff no matter what direction you're coming from. Also, the parking is inadequate for the number of rooms in the B&B. We were boxed in a couple of times when cars parked very close behind us. But aside from that, we had a completely wonderful stay and would like to stay there again if we go back to Kona.

Beautiful quiet property that’s very well kept. We loved the fruit trees, chickens and kitty! Kind and responsive caretakers (Heidi and Dan) who go the extra mile. The breakfast service is wonderful and it was nice to not have to travel more than a few steps in the morning. The entrance gate appears to be in a state of construction, but don’t be fooled, the property itself is lovely.

Mango Sunset is an updated, clean and comfortable property on a coffee farm high above Kailua Kona with exceptional views of the sea and sunset with amazingly attentive hosts. We stayed in a room with a lanai/patio that was perfect for relaxing, reading and enjoying a beverage while watching the sunset in the evenings. Our room was well-equipped with microwave, mini-fridge, silverware, coffee, soap/shampoo, a sitting area, etc. The room and bathroom felt very clean and modern (recently updated). What really made this stay special were the on-site hosts - Heidi & Dan. These folks really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, well-fed and well-equipped for our trip. Heidi asked about our plans for the day and offered beach towels and bags to make our lives easier. In the morning we enjoyed fresh-baked sourdough that Heidi had baked with local apple bananas, and a full breakfast wrap with delicious, fresh sides. They also made helpful recommendations to us for dinners in town during our stay. These hosts are real gems. Highly recommend! Mahalo Heidi & Dan!

This place was the perfect first spot for our trip to the Big Island. Heidi and Dan were incredibly welcoming, expressed curiosity about us, and Heidi provided delicious breakfasts each morning. The BnB had a nice local feel on the farm and provided a friendliness among fellow guests each morning. The location was a convenient spot for our daily adventures around the west side of the island. Our room was spotless, the shower/bathroom very modern (loved the shampoo & conditioner!), and the bed was very comfortable. The dehumidifier in the room was both useful and a good white noise machine against the chatting frogs at night and the rooster in the morning. Though I initially thought the price per night was a bit high, the service, room, and location were truly perfect. Next time we come back to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again!

Amazing B&B in Hawaii! We loved the breakfast every day. The rooms are very specious and each of them has their own outdoor area and a small kitchen with a fridge inside. The view overlooking the coffee farm and the sea are great.

We stayed at Mango Sunset for 7 nights, and Heidi and Dan were wonderful hosts! They're a couple of the most kindhearted and friendly people we've ever met. They offered suggestions on activities around the island and made sure we had everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrellas. Every morning we looked forward to the breakfast, which included Kona coffee and fresh fruits from the farm. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are a few areas to sit and enjoy the views and sunset. Highly recommend staying here!

No room cleaning during the whole stay. It could have done upon request but we were not awere. Great breakfast every day with the exceptional Lynne's service! Noise insulation is an issue. You can hear outside night insects as well as 4am roosters quite clear. Price was reasonable comparing to cost hotels. Overall good location. Peaceful atmosphere!

Our stay at Mango Sunset was only one night, and it was incredible. Heidi was accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with her, and she was helpful and kind, answering our questions. The breakfast was outstanding! I would love to stay longer next time. The room was spotless, the bathroom is luxurious, and we slept very well in the comfortable bed.

Mango Sunset was the perfect option for my one-night stay after an evening landing in Kona before driving to the Hilo side of the island the next day. The room was immaculate and comfy, the grounds are absolutely beautiful, communication with staff was easy, and coffee and breakfast were excellent. I would love to stay at Mango Sunset again for multiple days!

We had a lovely stay here for just one night at the end of our trip. It is super clean and nicely appointed, Linda was a friendly and accommodating host and the breakfast she served us was wonderful. Very quiet, lush landscaping, and wild chickens!

Glad I chose this property to stay at for my rather last minute trip. The property is just gorgeous; a close drive but feels remote. This is a nice bed and breakfast located on a coffee farm in Kona. Janine made delicious breakfasts every day that we enjoyed with a beautiful view of the ocean. The communication was great. There is a phone number provided that you can text with any questions or updates to what time you will want breakfast the following day. Parking is very easy in a small lot close to the units. The room itself was also nice. There is a dehumidifier so that it stays comfortable especially since you most likely will keep the windows open due to no AC. It was pretty warm during our trip and we didn’t feel like we needed air conditioning at all. There’s only about 5 units so it feels very private and lowkey. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we will be back next time we are visiting Kona.

Mango Sunset is an updated, clean and comfortable property on a coffee farm high above Kailua Kona with exceptional views of the sea and sunset with amazingly attentive hosts. We stayed in a room with a lanai/patio that was perfect for relaxing, reading and enjoying a beverage while watching the sunset in the evenings. Heidi asked about our plans for the day and offered beach towels and bags to make our lives easier. In the morning we enjoyed fresh-baked sourdough that Heidi had baked with local apple bananas, and a full breakfast wrap with delicious, fresh sides. Our stay at Mango Sunset was only one night, and it was incredible. Heidi was accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed chatting with her, and she was helpful and kind, answering our questions. The breakfast was outstanding! I would love to stay longer next time. The room was spotless, the bathroom is luxurious, and we slept very well in the comfortable bed.

This place was the perfect first spot for our trip to the Big Island. Heidi and Dan were incredibly welcoming, expressed curiosity about us, and Heidi provided delicious breakfasts each morning. The BnB had a nice local feel on the farm and provided a friendliness among fellow guests each morning. The location was a convenient spot for our daily adventures around the west side of the island. Our room was spotless, the shower/bathroom very modern (loved the shampoo & conditioner!), and the bed was very comfortable. The dehumidifier in the room was both useful and a good white noise machine against the chatting frogs at night and the rooster in the morning. Though I initially thought the price per night was a bit high, the service, room, and location were truly perfect. Next time we come back to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again!

Great rooms, amazing property, owners are friendly, breakfast was better than most restaurants. It's nice and quiet, apart from the frogs and the roosters but you get used to that. Will stay here again if I ever get the chance to come back to Kona!

Amazing B&B in Hawaii! We loved the breakfast every day. The rooms are very specious and each of them has their own outdoor area and a small kitchen with a fridge inside. The view overlooking the coffee farm and the sea are great.

My husband and I decided to try the Mango Sunset after reading the rave reviews. We are so happy we did after experiencing this unique hideaway on a coffee plantation. Heidi and Dan were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed. They were in contact with us as soon as we booked, providing clear and thorough directions pertaining to finding the property and check-in. After settling us in the immaculate and spacious suite Heidi gave us a helpful list of restaurants and activities throughout the island along with an easy to read map. Delicious breakfasts were served outside in the pristine garden l with jaw dripping views. Serene, safe and secluded, close to Kona airport and fabulous beaches... Highly recommend this property.

Mango Sunset is a wonderful, comfortable, quiet stay in Kona with amazing panoramic views of the ocean. Lynne, the onsite manager is fantastic and was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early and pre-made some lovely egg sammies for us to go since our departure was before the breakfast service. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main hotels. Highly recommended Mango Sunset for a quiet getaway in Lona

This is a beautiful property on a hill overlooking a coffee farm with a view of the ocean in the distance. Heidi and Dan were outstanding hosts, available whenever we had any requests or questions, and if they didn't have an answer right away, they would look it up and get back to us pronto. They gave us a royal welcome at 10:30pm when we first arrived. And the 2 course gourmet breakfasts, absolutely out of this world! Every morning we had something different, cooked to utmost deliciousness. And unlimited quantities of fresh Kona coffee, which even this tea drinker enjoyed every morning.Even though it's just about 1/2 mi in from a main road, it is totally peaceful. I would do my daily breathing exercises in the fresh air every morning, and loved to sit out on the grass in front of our room in the evening. It's a perfect spot for stargazing, which I was thrilled to be able to do on a couple of the clear nights. The reason I didn't give a 5 star review, is the lack of appropriate signage when trying to find the driveway from the main road, especially at night. I would suggest 2 big signs on either side of the driveway with lighted letters so you can clearlysee the turnoff no matter what direction you're coming from. Also, the parking is inadequate for the number of rooms in the B&B. We were boxed in a couple of times when cars parked very close behind us. But aside from that, we had a completely wonderful stay and would like to stay there again if we go back to Kona.

We stayed at Mango Sunset for 7 nights, and Heidi and Dan were wonderful hosts! They're a couple of the most kindhearted and friendly people we've ever met. They offered suggestions on activities around the island and made sure we had everything we needed, including beach chairs and umbrellas. Every morning we looked forward to the breakfast, which included Kona coffee and fresh fruits from the farm. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There are a few areas to sit and enjoy the views and sunset. Highly recommend staying here!

Mango Sunset is situated on a hill in a lovely coffee plantation. It’s 15 or 20 minutes from town. The sunsets are amazing and breakfast in the morning with French pressed coffee is delicious! Heidi (host) makes her own sourdough! She and husband Dan are naturals at hospitality.

Mango Sunset is a wonderful, comfortable, quiet stay in Kona with amazing panoramic views of the ocean. Lynne, the onsite manager is fantastic and was very accommodating, allowing us to check in early and pre-made some lovely egg sammies for us to go since our departure was before the breakfast service. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main hotels. Highly recommended Mango Sunset for a quiet getaway in Lona

Mango Sunset is an updated, clean and comfortable property on a coffee farm high above Kailua Kona with exceptional views of the sea and sunset with amazingly attentive hosts. We stayed in a room with a lanai/patio that was perfect for relaxing, reading and enjoying a beverage while watching the sunset in the evenings. Our room was well-equipped with microwave, mini-fridge, silverware, coffee, soap/shampoo, a sitting area, etc. The room and bathroom felt very clean and modern (recently updated). What really made this stay special were the on-site hosts - Heidi & Dan. These folks really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, well-fed and well-equipped for our trip. Heidi asked about our plans for the day and offered beach towels and bags to make our lives easier. In the morning we enjoyed fresh-baked sourdough that Heidi had baked with local apple bananas, and a full breakfast wrap with delicious, fresh sides. They also made helpful recommendations to us for dinners in town during our stay. These hosts are real gems. Highly recommend! Mahalo Heidi & Dan!

We absolutely love this bed-and-breakfast! Would recommend it to anyone who wants a peaceful retreat with beautiful views, wildlife and natural surroundings. This place was the perfect first spot for our trip to the Big Island. Heidi and Dan were incredibly welcoming, expressed curiosity about us, and Heidi provided delicious breakfasts each morning. The BnB had a nice local feel on the farm and provided a friendliness among fellow guests each morning. The location was a convenient spot for our daily adventures around the west side of the island. Our room was spotless, the shower/bathroom very modern (loved the shampoo & conditioner!), and the bed was very comfortable. The dehumidifier in the room was both useful and a good white noise machine against the chatting frogs at night and the rooster in the morning. Though I initially thought the price per night was a bit high, the service, room, and location were truly perfect. Next time we come back to the Big Island, we will definitely be staying here again!
