I have only good things to say about La Roma and its owners. Friendly, cheerful, helpful Owner & Wife. Room was clean clean clean. Yes, the motel is old, but its charming. There's an outdoor pool, access to a river with picnic tables on the lawn. Chairs outside the room allow for relaxing before dark. The bed was comfortable and the night was quiet. There's an attached restaurant with delicious Indian food. We enjoyed curry shrimp. This place is not luxurious but its extremely comfortable and very economical. Would not hesitate to stay here again on our way through .

Surprisingly lovely property beside a river and parkland. I had my coffee by the river an d had a short run around the small park area. All staff were wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean but barren. Motel life, I guess things would go a walkin’.

The property is a short distance off the Trans Canada. It sits aside a small stream. They have a outdoor pool, picnic area, fire pit and more. La Roma will always be our go to choice whenever we need accommodations in the Edmundston area.

We were supposed to have a king size bed but it wasn’t. The place was filthy. Garbage from the last guests still in the garbage can, long hairs on the pillows and in the tub, broken blinds, curtains too short, tv 25 years old, etc. I could never recommend this place.

Room was clean but this is an old motel, very uncomfortable bed and pillows. Dirty old comforter on the bed. Worn floors, moldy tiles, very worn sofa. Would never stay here again! Not sure why people rated it a 4 out of 5 stars! Really a two at best!!!

The staff member we dealt with was great. However, the rooms (we had two stays there, on our way to and from Ottawa) could have been much cleaner. There was dust under the TV, etc. and the floors were filthy, in both rooms in which we stayed - #1 and #12. In the latter room, the bathtub faucet and spout were all water stained, so we did not even shower. We got up in the morning and put our clothes on and left. We will not be staying there on any future travels. The bathroom floor tile in #12 were all broken and had some odd pieces filling in. The workmanship was terrible. Caulking looked like a child had done it with gobby icing. The rooms really need fussing up if they want to have their business survive. It’s unfortunate. Donna

The room was very dated, not well kept. Bathroom very small, mold on the shower curtain and in the sink. Bolt on the door did not lock. A lot of hair on the towels and bedding. Floors very dirty. Connection to wifi non existant in the evening however, great in the morning. Noisy, with a constant knocking sound every 15 mins during our entire stay. Very overpriced.

Needs to be updated dirt on all doors, shower old and lots of black in tiles. Face cloth and towels had dirt stains. The main ceiling fan light flickered off and on then wouldn’t work. Strong air freshener type smell caused stuffiness. Restaurant didn’t open until 10:30 so not able to get breakfast. Check in was easy and friendly staff. Could hear the tv next door through the night.

Everything dirty Coffee machine not clean floor dirty yellow stain on pillow, bathtub is heavily chipped. Tv not working. People were smoking in from our room . Our room smelled like cigarettes. Small bucket with sand on the floor right under window for ashtray . Extra blanket smelled bad. Towels were new and clean though…

Do not let them give you room #1. It is too close to the kitchen. It sounds like you are in the kitchen with the staff. The constant banging until 11pm was too much for me. I texted the cell number provided to ask them to keep it down but they didn't respond.

For one night it was comfortable and clean. The beds were hard for us and the wifi was weak to nonexistent. I wish the restaurant had been open and hope it works out for them in the future. We would stay here again.

The window was open when we arrived around 11pm and the whole room felt damp, even in-between the sheets. It almost felt like the sheets were just sprayed with Febreeze and tucked back in. The bathroom door didn't close and the floor felt sticky. The price was right for just 1 night in the middle of a road trip but it wasn't a comfortable stay.

I was so appreciative of our stay at La Roma. The owners were so sweet and accommodating. We ran into a few hiccups during our travels with 4 kids - and I knew we were going to be checking in REALLY late. I called and explained our predicament and they told us it isn’t a problem and to take our time, stay safe and have they’ll see us soon. When we arrived, we were greeted with a smile. The rooms were very clean and set up so we could just get right to sleep. It’s also really hard to find rooms that sleeps 6, so it always feels like a blessing when we ca. get just one room for our family. I would highly recommend stopping by La Roma when you need a comfy place to sleep during your travels. We look forward to visiting again soon!

I called during a busy time when the front desk was speaking to another customer. They didn't answer the call but then THEY CALLED ME BACK. I i highly doubt that I would ever receive that kind of service from larger hotel chains. When I arrived, the owner was super helpful and accommodating with my truck and twenty six foot trailer on his site. The quality of the motel room is about what you would expect. Perfectly satisfactory for someone just passing through and they were located close to the highway.

We drove up from Ontario, and arrived very late. The owner was super friendly at 3am and was quick to get us checked in. The room was clean and had a nice little Christmas welcome. Also had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee station. They are just off the highway and pet friendly. We will be back again.

The Roma Motel is conveniently situated right off the highway, which was ideal for a quick overnight stop. It was a cozy stay and while we didn't have time to dine at the adjacent restaurant, it looked great. My only critique is that the room was a little dated, which didn't bother us but is worth noting. I loved the comfortable vibes here. Checking in and out was simple, and the owner was super friendly and easy to talk to. I would stay here again or recommend it to a friend!

Booked thru Expedia. Price was good but list dinner and breakfast available in restaurant which made it convenient for us being late on Saturday. The motel is newly owned but the restaurant not yet opened. The confirmation email said please note restaurant not open but hard to read driving. The owner offered full refund but we were too tired to look for anything else. Went out to eat at the 4 points by Sheraton which was awfull. I think eventually it will be a lovely property . The enclosed pool looked clean and safe. My major complaint is that all rooms are non smoking with a designated smoking area 50 feet from the rooms which is not enforced. The rooms are all next to each othe with a chair and useful ashtray outside the doors which makes avoiding second hand smoke unavoidable. As non smokers this was it for us. I hate leaving a place stinking of smoke. Updare the Expedia website and enforce your smoking area rules and we will be back
