pet friendly with parking right outside of the room. plenty of green space for the pooch. small town option compared to staying in New Haven. local grocery and dining is a few miles up the road. the "suites" part of it gives you more square footage and a kitchenette, but the kitchen is not stocked with any cookware or silverware or plates. in our room the toilet flush handle was broken.

The place was advertised as having oven and stove and they said there was utensils to use and plates. There was none of that. Very disappointing. Since I was looking forward to that.

It was very clean. I was pleasantly surprised! Like a studio apartment with a king bed. I will definitely return in the future. The kitchen was spotless and functional, very nice. Warm and clean and relatively quiet (there was an upstairs unit). Can use updates in bed, furniture, but most importantly it was super clean and the linens and towels fresh and clean. Nice if you like your own space in a quiet country setting with food stores, gas, dining close by. Peaceful. I loved parking my car right outside my unit. Major plus.

Pet friendly. Nice picnic area. Spacious room. Older establishment but the bed was very firm, linens were clean. Plenty of towels. You do have to go to the desk to get extra blankets. If you want to cook in the kitchenette you have to go to the desk to get everything. Very affordable.

It was clean. The room was hard to heat up. The most disappointing was that the stove top didn't work. We had an early departure set and couldn't cook breakfast. Otherwise the neighborhood was safe and a few restaurants nearby were a plus.

This Red Roof Inn is motel-style. Very nice, clean, good value for the money on a weekend where hotel prices are through the roof. Don’t book this place and expect the Ritz-Carlton, as I said it’s a motel.

The room was spacious and clean however our room was not cleaned or beds made one of days we were there. The ice machine was broken. The property needs attention. There is a huge hole in the pavement in the parking lot. The outdoor umbrella was broken. With a little attention this property could be so pretty with its outdoor spaces

Unfortunately there were many flies in the room both dead and alive.. Ants in bathroom.. Soiled bed spread several stains... Outside area needs to be cleaned up.. Looked like animal waste or vomit outside door to room

The sheets and blankets were dirty. Place smelled bad. Needs paint and lots of TLC. I thought for sure I was gonna get bed bugs. I was lucky.

staff on premise didn't know how to check me in for my extra day I called about, asked me to come down next day, had to do that multiple times bc noone was at the desk. Window was left open on arrival and I didn't notice til late evening and room didn't warm up, slept in 2 outfits and coat- another person complained of same thing, , no extra blankets. Got woken up at 2am with someone yelling 4 letter words and slamming drawers. When packing to leave I went to get something I dropped under bed and it looked to have so much dust layers that it probably hadn't been vacumned underneath in months.

It's a great chain--nice people, pet friendly, nice properties. The problem is the physical plant. The air conditioning was really useless, so if it's going to be over 80 degrees, don't stay here. The WiFi was not usable in peak periods, such as 7-9 pm.

Had to stay for a local tournament and for only $100 cheaper than holiday inn I would never again. Everything is just painted over and very old. Mattress was so uncomfortable I still have a back ache.

This hotel is filthy dirty! It needs a painting really bad! It is run down, The check in girl was so unfriendly. We got there a half hour too early and she would not let us check in. I can’t believe I wasted $200 on this stay! Thank God it was only for one night!

The place is run down. There was no one at the desk any time we went to the office. The rooms are dingy and dated The grounds are filthy. When I went to the desk this morning to check out, there wasn’t a person there although people could be heard in the back, there was just a phone number to call very strange experience. Not what I expected for $225 a night

The floors were so disgusting that the bottoms of our socks were black. Paid extra for "premium bedding" and sheets and blanket were both about as thick and comfortable as sleeping with 1-ply toilet paper. Some "interesting" characters were all around the property, including 2 that were lighting the outdoor "grill" with sticks from the woods. There was no one at the desk when we checked out so we were not provided with an invoice. Noticed afterwards there was an extra $50 charge. We drove all the way back to find out what that was for as no one would answer the phone. We were told it was a deposit that would be refunded and that the person who checked us in should've told us that. He did not so that was an inconvenience. We will never stay here again.

RRI could not find my reservation on there system. Showed them my Hotels.com # and I was told the computer systems did not 'speak' to each other. I had to pay full price for a room and then 'deal with hotels.com'. Three days later they called me and said they 'found' the reservation and would refund my money on cc. I only stayed one night - it was clean and quiet with food right up the road. I have been using Hotels.com for YEARS and have never had this issue.
