Beautiful 400-year-old hotel in the central historic district of Quito. The floorboards are squeaky but that can be expected in such an old building.

The courtyard was so beautiful. The history of the building added to the intrigue and charm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful 2 night stay. Safety was a high priority with a fare to buzz in guests. The breakfast was very nice and again the cavern environment told a story that added to the experience. It’s a gem in Quito.

Charming hotel in a perfect location in the historical center. Wonderful courtyard in what is supposed to be one of the five oldest buildings in Quito. Why not full score: lots of stairs with no elevator, no heating, very simple (although good) breakfast.

Staff were great and location is great. The hotel is also really cool. One of the oldest residences in Quito. Had a few issues with hot water running out in the middle of the day so shower early or at night. Also I believe people use this as a stopping point for the Galapagos so people are coming and going all hours and can wake you up at 4am because there isn't a lot of sound barrier. Also if you unlucky enough to get rooms 5 or 6 then anyone walking down that hall lights up your room like it's the middle of the day.
