Room was clean, beautiful property, convenient location. Beds were not very comfortable, pretty hard, but overall fine. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. Note that washer/dryer is advertised but that is incorrect, they send out the laundry for a price and it returns next day. Daily breakfast was always very good. Would have liked to have coffee in the room and there was no option to have coffee if you don’t make the breakfast hours (unless purchased from front desk)

We stayed 7 nights. The property is nice and clean, close to everything, healthy breakfast, nice staff. The reason I leave 4 stars is that there are NO LAUNDRY FACILITIES on site. You can get this service for an additional charge or you can search for other options outside the property.

We stayed here as a family of five (with kids aged 13, 8, and 5), and it was a wonderful experience. The pool was perfect for our kids—just the right size for them to enjoy and play safely. The location is great too; it's within walking distance to downtown La Fortuna, which made exploring easy and fun. The daily breakfast was delicious and a great way to start each day. We would absolutely stay here again as a family!

The grounds and the pool are first class. The breakfast is a definite plus. At the end of the day around the pool we always met interesting people. We originally booked for two nights but added three more because we liked the place so much. Close to town, waterfalls, hot springs and hikes. A+++

Gated property with staff available from 7am to 9pm daily. Very close to Fortuna and all of it's restaurants and shopping. Beautiful grounds and a breathtaking view of the volcano from the pool. Breakfast provided was buffet style and delicious with options from eggs and sausage to fruit and cereal. Some traffic noise and bars on the windows and doors. But we felt safe and comfortable here. Housekeeping daily, all of the staff were friendly and helpful.

Grounds were beautiful! Loved the trail in the back. Room was a bit noisy. Could hear lots of noise from outside which was sometimes good (birds), sometimes bad (other guests). Saw a gecko in the room almost every day (we assume he lived in there because he didn't seem to want to leave) and a large ant that kept making its way inside. We did request no room service, but our room was still cleaned so maybe they misunderstood our request as we didn't want anyone in the room. Thankfully, they do provide a safe which was great. Breakfast was good and fast if you want to get an early start to your day. Grounds seemed very safe and a few good restaurants within walking distance, but still far enough away from the bustle of downtown for it to be quiet.

We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. Our room was clean and comfortable and spacious. The grounds are gorgeously landscaped with lots of bird watching opportunities. Great pool. Delicious breakfasts. Friendly and helpful staff. 5 minute walk into town for shops and restaurants. Super convenient spot for various day trips.

The stay was very good. We had visited this property in 2014 and now ten years later. The only thing we would recommend is getting faster internet as it was not always very good and getting the. television channels fixed. Besides that, the staff was very nice and everyone was kind. Thank you for making our vacation pleasant.

Front desk reception was very informative/helpful with options did things to do in area. The country inn property was pretty big, cottage like accommodations with much trees on the ground. Location was pretty good too, 10 mins walk to the Main Street! Highly recommend.

this property was really walkable to all the good restaurants/ coffee shops. also I was traveling solo as a female and Marcos, Vanessa and the rest of the crew were so helpful anytime I needed anything. I felt very safe walking to the property and had no issues getting a taxi if I needed one at any time of the day.

Not only was the property beautiful…the free breakfast was amazing…the location is perfect (close enough to walk to town, not so close that you get caught in the hustle and bustle of tourism)… but the manager on-site, Adriana, went ABOVE AND BEYOND for me as a female solo traveler. I experienced a huge travel emergency and she was my guardian angel! She even ordered me a pizza on her own dime because I hadn’t eaten all day after the craziest travel day of my life. I am eternally grateful to her kindness and hospitality. I extended my stay an extra night and booked my excursions through her (she has connections and a comprehensive document to every tour you’d ever want to take). I even got to accomplish my dream of seeing Rio Celeste and had a great shuttle experience back to the Liberia airport which only cost about $60 shared. I highly recommend this property for solo travelers, families, and friend trips alike.

Was looking for something that was abit remote but not too far from the center of La Fortuna. Arenal Country Inn did not dissapoint. Roughly 5-10 minutes walk and you're there. I really enjoyed my stay, most of the staff know some english and are very friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean and the jungle really felt like it was outside the window. While I personally appriciate the brids and cicadas, for those who likes silence you might want to bring some earplugs. Air condition worked fine and a small fridge was usefull for some smaller things. Only thing I really can complain about is the lack of a bottle opener :)

Front desk reception was very informative/helpful with options did things to do in area. The country inn property was pretty big, cottage like accommodations with much trees on the ground. Location was pretty good too, 10 mins walk to the Main Street! Highly recommend.

We stayed here for 6 nights and loved it. Our room was clean and comfortable and spacious. The grounds are gorgeously landscaped with lots of bird watching opportunities. Great pool. Delicious breakfasts. Friendly and helpful staff. 5 minute walk into town for shops and restaurants. Super convenient spot for various day trips.

We stayed here as a family of five (with kids aged 13, 8, and 5), and it was a wonderful experience. The pool was perfect for our kids—just the right size for them to enjoy and play safely. The location is great too; it's within walking distance to downtown La Fortuna, which made exploring easy and fun. The daily breakfast was delicious and a great way to start each day. We would absolutely stay here again as a family!

Room was clean, beautiful property, convenient location. Beds were not very comfortable, pretty hard, but overall fine. The staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating. Note that washer/dryer is advertised but that is incorrect, they send out the laundry for a price and it returns next day. Daily breakfast was always very good. Would have liked to have coffee in the room and there was no option to have coffee if you don’t make the breakfast hours (unless purchased from front desk)

The hotel was simple, but very clean and Good value. Grounds had beautiful gardens and nice pool. We were a family of five and was bit difficult to find accommodations w out renting two rooms. Staff was very friendly and the free breakfast daily we thought was very good. One thing Difficult was not having a restaurant on site for lunch or dinner . We did not have a car and walking to restaurants at night after returning from a tour was not comfortable for us as it’s a bit off the main road . A few restaurants delivered to us and that was sufficient. My son left his device there and the staff helped me find a way to get it back. Able to borrow umbrella, and pool towels at front desk. Can purchase beer, snacks from front desk as well.

Very pleasant stay and beautiful surroundings, close to the city. However, it would be important to install a mixer tap for the shower. The mixer is an outdated system and absolutely not practical. In addition, the quality of the meals served for delivery by your partner restaurant is deplorable.

All Staff were friendly and breakfast daily was local food that tasted fresh and delicious! I do not like beans and rice but it tasted good with the fresh vegetables and natural juices on top. Bungalow are comfortable too!

We arrived later during the day and the hotel was waiting for us. That was nice. We had a room with its own entry and parking just next to the pool. We enjoyed the pool a lot as well as the breakfast area which had a pool table. Breakfast is minimal but ok. The environment is really beautiful. A lot of flowers and plants.

Friendly staff, very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Daily breakfast was great - local food (rice and beans, eggs, variety of healthy toppings and pancakes), but with other options as well (cereal and toast). Good hot coffee and yummy juice. Parking was convenient, no issues at all there (we were able to park right by our room). Well-organized amenities and property, quiet surroundings, farm land next to property; but still very close to the heart of La Fortuna. Beautiful trees and plants on the property. We saw toucans in the trees one of the mornings. Rooms were comfortable and were very clean. Shower nice and hot (also hot water in sink), worked well. Pool was nice. Constructive criticisms / nit picks (overall we loved our stay): all of the TV stations on the TV were in Spanish, it would have been nice to have subtitles at least, as it rained a lot on some days and we were stuck in doors for a while sometimes. There wasn’t a hot tub, would have been nice to have a hot tub on colder rainy days. It would have been nice if the fridge in the room was slightly larger (fridge was about knee high, rather than waist high). Some aspects of the decor in the bathrooms and elsewhere on the property were more simplistic or needed just a little more jazzing up (maybe some artwork, extra color, or other simple touches).
