Hostal Rober

Very reasonably priced stay in centre of Madrid. Very friendly staff and 24 hour reception. Daily housekeeping with shampoo/shower gel and fresh towels. Slightly on the noisy side and can hear other guests in their rooms and can hear front doorbell from the room. Slightly disappointed that you need to pay €1 each time you need to use the room safe.

O lugar é muito bem localizado, no coração de Madri, vale super a pena ficar nessa localização. Estação de metrô opera bem perto, próximo à Plaza mayor. Recepção 24 horas, super atenciosos. Um ponto negativo é o barulho que pode incomodar por conta da localização, mas nao foi algo que nos incomodou. Um ponto negativo foi o chuveiro que não tinha um jato d'água bom.

Nos agradó mucho la ubicación y que siempre haya alguien en recepción, 24 horas.

I fell down a flight of cement stairs as the had just been washed. I have bad bruising on arnand back.And that affected the rest of my time there.

Hostal Rober is on the 5 floor on a pedestrian street and close to Plaza Mayor and the royal palace. Our room was small and the floor was to not completely level. The amount of soap in the shower was very small. We felt that the price of the room was much to high.

This property is located right next to the opera metro station. It has a various options for shopping and dining well into den tonight. The hostel is located on the fifth floor with the elevator. It might be a bit difficult to find but they have a sign a little higher than the sidewalk so you should not have any problems. The room is just enough for one person with a clean bathroom, comfortable bed and clean towels. it is very quiet during the day and at night. They do not have a secure locker for your luggage, but you can leave it. Leave it in the common area. The staff doesn’t speak perfect English, but enough for you to communicate easily. Overall, I highly recommend this place to stay and I would most definitely would like to visit it again.

Great little top floor budget accommodation in one of the sweet parts of the city (the part with the bars and restaurants).

Very basic accomodation and very very central. There is an elevator which is a big bonus. Very close to the King's Palace and the Opera Theatre. Windows are double glazed so very little noise comes from outside. Receptionists were very welcoming

When we entered the hostel, a gentleman around 55 years old welcomed us at the door. He took us to our room and while examining the room, there were 3 or 4 hairs on the pillow, I asked him to change it, he accepted. It was disgusting to see this sight. Since I saw a hair on the pillow, I asked him to change the sheets because I lost my trust, they had obviously not been washed. The gentleman got really angry and said in a very loud voice that he would not do this and that the sheets were clean. He was very aggressive, but we saw disgraceful hairs on the pillow, he raised his voice when he should have apologized. The hygiene was terrible. The only good thing about the hostel is its location. It was a bad experience.

The room was very clean, and the location is excellent. The room was quiet after closing the windows despite being next to a busy street.

Location location location!! Its perfectly situated so you can get wherever you want in the city center! The Metro stop Opera is literaly 3min away and from here you can easily walk to all the main attractions as the castle and main shopping street Gran Via. You do get what you pay for. The walls are super thin so you hear absolutly everything. But that is basically it. The shower had warm water, the bed was super comfy and they have airconditioning! Only thing that would have made it perfect would be if they had a mini fridge. Something cold to drink is never wrong. The hotel is at the 5th floor. Super easy to see the sign above and to find the call button downstairs. I was travelling alone and felt pretty safe staying here. Cant wait to come back here if i get the chance. The people working here was extremly nice and helpfull. Nothing negative to say there eather!! So if noice dosent bother you that much, go for it!! Rooms are tiny but hey, your not staying in your room all day so!! All in all, HAD A GREAT STAY! Muchas gracias!!

Pessoal atencioso. Mas o hotel é muito simples. Além disso ficamos no primeiro quarto, Perto da entrada, que fazia muito barulho das pessoas entrando e saindo. Localização perfeita

Great location, close to metro and shopping. Room was simple and small but extremely clean and comfortable and had air conditioning. For the price point amazing value and I enjoyed my stay!

The location is great, center to a lot of places and to metro stations. The room was clean and comfortable. The employees always at service and happy to serve. The only thing to improve is the bathroom. It is very small on the toilet space, a large person would not be able to seat. Also, it needs a place inside the shower to put the soap and shampoo.

The staff were lovely and the location was great but that’s where it stops. The room was well overpriced even for a major city. The bathroom was tiny and there was a smell that was present in the bathroom every morning. The bathroom sink was tiny. The beds were ok, pillows very hard. There were no amenities such as a kettle. The Hostal was very noisey through the night and the corridor light came on frequently. The walls were very thin and you could hear the next room. Overnight stay only for convenience. However, on the upside there was restaurants and shops all around and tourist spots were within easy walking distance.

It was a great stay! Location was wonderful, a few minutes to the Plaza Mayor and Palacio Real. Lots of food places too. Staff was amazing. They even schedule at taxi for me with pick up at 5 am!! Very kind and helpful staff. Loved it! Fully recommended!

Está a unos cuantos minutos de la puerta del sol, todo súper cerca

O quarto limpo, com bastante coberta e o ar condicionado funcionando. Não se houve o barulho da rua. A equipe é muito prestativa, Oscar nos indicou um restaurante português maravilhoso. A localização é bem central, nos locomovemos a pé e de metrô até os pontos turísticos.

Very nice hotel. Personally, I thought it looked a lot cuter and more updated in person than the pictures represented. Friendly staff. Room was comfortable and cozy with a balcony overlooking the views. Only issue was it was difficult to find upon first arrival, so more instruction on where to go would have made it easier. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends!

It was 2min walk away from puerta del Sol and very well situated.
