The Angus Inn is a great place to stay. It is clean and comfortable and has a great kitchenette with a full fridge, microwave, dishes, and built in counter hot plate for travellers use. A communal barbecue is also available. The staff is friendly and efficient.

Clean and quiet. Older motel in good condition with kitchenette. Bed was a little hard but The room was clean, quiet and the staff were very friendly and brought extra towels when asked. I didn’t have time to use the outside pool, but it looked like it was clean and well maintained.

Decor looks somewhat aged, otherwise all was OK. Clean room, well working shower, comfortable beds, TV remote with fresh batteries, very polite man at check in. The room smelled of burned wood, I thought it was cigarettes but the man at the reception desk assured me that it was a non-smoking room, so no clue what that was. I did not like surroundings, all was beaten up asphalt/cement around the hotel, not a single tree. Our room was just by the pool and some very large family decided to party, play music and yell until almost 11pm.

The pool outside was very nice. The cleanliness of the room was poor, when we went to use the washroom in our motel, there was poop on the wall. Wished there would have been a microwave in the room. Bedding was clean but not enough garbage cans. When we booked in advance for 3 people for the room, they just provided enough for 2 people.

When we arrived, the room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals. As the smell subsided, I could see why. The room smelled like a crack den. I didn’t even consider walking barefoot on those carpets. To make matters much worse, there were blood stains in multiple locations on my comforter. I was booked for two nights. Upon checking in, I told the manager that I may not need the second night. I was outside the 24 hour cancellation period. Rather than give me the option to cancel the second night, the manager had me pay up front for both nights. I can see why now. After seeing the blood stains on the comforter, I didn’t stay the second night. I have never been in a more disgusting room. They need to replace all of the carpet and comforters to make it sanitary. I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but I want everyone to be warned about what they are getting in to. The manager tries to keep what they have clean, but it’s insufficient. Bloody comforters are not acceptable and need to be replaced.

We got in late in the middle of the night and I called and manager came right down to office and greeted us. Gave us some bottled water, and checked us in. Room was very clean. It is a dated motel, but staff very good and comfortable beds

Bed was HARD, like sleeping on wooden planks, plus it was so high it was almost impossible to get into or off of. Wi-Fi password did not word. There were no instructions on how to work the TV. There were no paper cups in the room. Also, there was only a night table on one side of the bed. We were very disappointed. Only good thing was the location, close to Base Borden.

Corner rooms on main floor are noisy due to having the smoking area right outside the door, the metal staircase, and the BBQ also directly outside the room. Curtains did not fully close, needed to use a hair clip to keep them closed at night. Couldn't open our window due to the cigarette and marijuana smoke that would enter our room, and didn't feel comfortable leaving curtains open. For the price paid I wouldn't return to this motel, did not leave a good first impression.

The hotel was clean, and offered a small kitchenette. The pool was fun and family-friendly, and there many decent dining options within walking distance of the hotel. However, the hotel charged my credit card the morning of our arrival - something I found extraordinaryily odd. As well, the AC didn't work in our room. Made sleeping very awkward. For a short stay, it's alright. For anything longer, I wouldn't recommend it.

When I arrived and reconfirmed my reservation, I was assured everything was correct. Upon entering my room, the accomodation was not what I reserved, was given excuses as if they had done me some favors. Tried to tell me I was mistaken, but after standing my ground, They admitted the error was theirs. Then wanted to charge me more money to "Fix" the problem. I was here for a funeral of my sister, I certainly did not need the extra stress. I will "NEVER" stay with that company again and will certainly pass this review on to all my fellow Veterans and Fire personnel. Terribly Disappointed!!!

Great staff. Friendly and helpful. Were able to switch rooms and get 1st floir room so my elderly mother did not have to climb stairs. Clean room. Full fridge, microwave, Instant hot water and lots of it for shower and cleaning up. Too cold outside to try thepool but it looked clean and well taken care of

The motel was OK for the price. Clean with friendly staff. There was even a pool that we didn't use. What was missing was a plug for our car. Even a normal 110v plug would have done the job. Angus is a really ugly little town with every fast food know to men but it's not that far from Wasaga Beach and Collingwood and the price is reasonable.

Wow! We will definitely return. It was super clean, smelled great upon entering the unit, was very cozy, and quiet. The price compared to other similar stays in Barrie, cannot be beat. The staff was super courteous and helpful. Definitely beyond my expectations.

This ws a good place to stay while in Barrie without breaking the bank. The staff were very nice and when I requested an upper floor with fridge I was accomodated without question. We will certainly stay again when we are next in Barrie

Close to lots of restaurants. House keeping came each day to clean room and make beds without having to ask them to do it like lots of hotels are still doing even though COVID ended eons ago. Very reasonable price. We enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

An older building that has some updates and renovations. It was clean and pretty quiet. The bed was a little hard but linens were spotlessly clean. Coffee was awful :-)
