This is an aging hot spring hotel type ryokan, but it is well maintained and the staff is outstanding. This hotel is still so popular with the locals that all of their restaurants were sold out for all meals on a Tuesday.

Beautiful view of a lake and mountains from our hotel room made our stay very peaceful and relaxing. Hotel staff were very courteous, accommodating, helpful, and friendly. They made our stay very enjoyable.

Property is old but clean. Faces the lake/sea, which is beautiful. During winter it is very quiet so makes the property which is also old, a little scary. Am sure it is different in spring and summer. There is a good little family run sushi and sashimi restaurant within 2 mins walk.

It was a ryokan and on the lake border Beautiful , peaceful and quiet Loved the area and cleanliness Breakfast delicious too Room very spacious and clean The front desk staff was excellent and the manager helped us book our taxi tours and sights They also recommended a taxi driver who spoke no English but luckily we spoke some Japanese The driver was very accommodating and took us to places we asked for Plus the manager help find the town of “Nagaishi and shrine “ which he mentioned to my son and driver All in all will stay at yoshidaya again when we visit our granddaughter again. I highly recommend this ryokan
