Gezellig hotel met een geweldig terras met uitzicht. Onze kamer was eenvoudig met gedeelde badkamer. Dat was geen probleem dankzij de slippers, de badjas en de brandschone badkamer. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk. Ontbijt was heerlijk.

Hôtel plein de charme, avec dépaysement garanti. Bien équipé avec WC et sdb communes ... peignoirs,chaussons et serviettes à disposition pour chaque chambre. Et confiance exceptionnelle envers la clientèle car personne pendant les 2 jours de fermeture mais bar à disposition avec unique consignes : merci de nous faire savoir ce que vous avez consommé !!!!! Petit déjeuner copieu en terrasse face aux montagnes... Hercule poirot aurait pu y séjourner 😉

Das Hotel liegt in Eigenthal. Schönes stattliches Haus. Schöne Terrasse und wunderbare Aussicht auf den Pilatus Unser Zimmer entsprach nicht dem was ich "vermeintlich" gebucht habe. Bei Hotels.com wurde ein Zweibettzimmer angeboten. Es war aber nur ein etwas grösseres Einzelbett. Nicht gerade eine komfortable Nacht. Hier sollte klarer kommuniziert werden, was man bucht. Das Abendessen à la carte war gut. Da wir wieder früh los gingen wurde uns ein Lunchpaket bereit gestellt und die Kaffeemaschine stand am Morgen zu unserer Verfügung. Das ist echt unkomplizierter guter Service.

A short walk from the bus stop from Lucerne. The staff were very helpful and patient with questions (spoke many languages!) The rooms are charming with unbelievable views. Although the hallway sensor light took some time to get used to it was fine. Food was excellent. We even got to see an amazing trio (Viola, violin and piano) followed by a champagne reception and 4 course dinner! Will definitely return!

Die Zimmer sind sehr Hellhörig und es knirrscht überall. Man hört alles vom Zimmer nebenan, drüber oder drunter. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage und wärend unseren Aufenthalt wurden auch Bauarbeiten auf der Terrasse ab 7H30 durchgeführt. Preisleistung Verhältnis passt überhaupt nicht.

Really The hotel is in a beautiful position with gorgeous views of the mountains and valley plus lovely walks straight from the hotel. Our room was on the third floor (no lift) and was quite small with no en- suite bathroom and the double bed’s side was against the wall which made it difficult to get out of for one of us (ie me!) Also nowhere to put or hang clothes, not even a rack to put suitcases on. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was nice.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel Hammer war absolut fantastisch. Wir haben eine Nacht hier verbracht und uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war sauber, urig und bot eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf die umliegende Berglandschaft. Auch das Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Alles in allem war unser Aufenthalt im Berghotel eine wunderbare Erfahrung, die wir jederzeit weiterempfehlen können.

This place is definitely a hidden gem! This place is unbelievably gorgeous with the mountain views! We arrived after 6pm and was given clear directions on how to obtain our room key. The rooms, washroom, and shower facilities were so neat and clean. Well maintained in all areas. There were many washroom and showers room to share between the guests. The breakfast was also highlight. The staff was so friendly. She came and offered to make us scrambled eggs and bacon which was a nice touch. Wish we stayed here longer, if you are in Luzern. The Bus ride is a little longer to get to, but totally worth the view going up and down the mountain. Bus stop is nearby to commute back to Luzern sbb. Highly recommended and will hope to come back one day! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Cleanliness at the hotel is very good. Shared bathrooms were always clean and no bad smell. Bed was made daily and rubbish bin was emptied daily from your room. Staff were very accommodating and friendly and even offered to cook eggs for breakfast as they were cleaning up from breakfast time. Would highly recommend this hotel. However, the only downside is if you are not a confident driver on narrow windy roads along the mountains of switzerland - this is a very hard place to reach.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are all so welcoming and helpful. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful. Its peaceful and clean. We loved our stay and will be back. Convenient bus from Lucerne station.

The landscape around is amazing, so beautiful. The street to get to the hotel is extremely narrow with cliffs on the sides. The bathrooms are across the hallway. There no dark shades in the windows so the morning light can disturb you. The room keys are the old type and require some skills to manage it. The hotel is ok to be far from the city noise.

Very nice traditional Swiss hotel. Incredible views of the countryside. I found it to be very spartan with no TV and very basic bedding which was not very comfortable. The bath room is across the hall and not in the same room. Even though it listed “free breakfast” according to Expedia we were charged 15 CF per person per day. This was a nice one time experience but I would not stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised that Hammer was basically hotel for hikers and was located high up a narrow mountain road. We had a private bathroom and a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the mountains

Das gebuchte Zimmer im 3 Stockwerk war zweckmäßig in Ordnung. Allerdings für 2 Personen einwenig zu klein das Bett . Ich hätte mir gerne noch einen kleinen Schrank gewünscht oder zumindest eine kleine Garderobe. Im fortgeschrittenen Alter aus dem Koffer zu leben, ist sehr ungünstig. Ansonsten war die Unterkunft sehr sauber, das Personal sehr freundlich und die Aussicht atemberaubend !!! Der Weg nach oben zum Hotel ist sehr speziell ..,das muss man mögen..

Etape moto, lieu paisible, séjour agréable. Chalet bois typique, par contre salle de bain , certes privée, mais en dehors de la chambre, ce qui ne nous a pas posé de problème mais pourrais être le cas pour d'autres personnes, ce serais bien de préciser ce fait dans le descriptif de la chambre. Bris de pas du niveau supérieur important le soir et le matin. Les adeptes de la grâce matinée seront déçues. Le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner sont très bons.

This property should be referred to as a Hostel not a hotel. There are no en-suite bathrooms and facilities are shared. There is no provision for invalid parking and the person in charge insisted the car was moved to place where it would have been almost impossible for me to get to the building due to her concerns about its length. When I found a space nearer the hostel she was very cross that the vehicle fitted in the marked bay perfectly. No English spoken so everything became harder. There was no helpful attitude as you would expect in the hospitality industry. The Hostel is also called a restaurant but the kitchens were closed during my visit and beware it’s quite a drive to the nearest food. On the up side the views are magnificent.

A short walk from the bus stop from Lucerne. The staff were very helpful and patient with questions (spoke many languages!) The rooms are charming with unbelievable views. Although the hallway sensor light took some time to get used to it was fine. Food was excellent. We even got to see an amazing trio (Viola, violin and piano) followed by a champagne reception and 4 course dinner! Will definitely return!

Very authentic Swiss experience. Great hospitality! The manager was amazing and gave great recommendations. The setting is idyllic, nestled in a valley. We LOVED our stay and would gladly have spent more time if we had it. If you get the chance do not hesitate to book a stay.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay in the mountains surrounding Lucerne. You have great views of Mount Pilatus. Just breathtaking. The hotel is exactly what we were hoping for, very cute Swiss chalet with everything we needed. Has a restaurant for dining and included breakfast that was superb. There is a bus stop right next to the hotel that runs regularly to get you into the city. Everyone there was lovely. Would highly recommend and are hoping to come back!

If you prefer to stay in an area that has countryside flavor, this is the place! Picturistically surrounded by mountains and not so far away from a nearby town center (by driving). Amazingly, it also has a bus route to a public parking area about 300 meters away, and a trailhead to Mt. Pilatus (2-3 hours straight up, as we were told). Easy driving to Kriens where the cable car takes you to the top of Pilatus. You can also take the cogwheel train to the other side of the mountain. Either take a train or a boat to the Lucerne. In the city center, a bus can take you back to Kriens where you park your car. Staffs are all friendly and enthusiastic to give you advice. Fantastic place!

We were pleasantly surprised that Hammer was basically hotel for hikers and was located high up a narrow mountain road. We had a private bathroom and a wonderful view of the mountains. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the mountains

What a really nice location. Indeed, what a beautiful view!!! Food at the restaurant was stupendous! The reception Mr.Gentleman (I forgot his name) was really nice and accomodating. I was going to stay another night but it was fully booked. Had I known that, I should have booked for 2-3 nights. Nevertheless, now I know where to go for a good relaxing weekend! I highly recommend this hotel. Awesome stay, awesome staff and awesome food!!!!

Very nice traditional Swiss hotel. Incredible views of the countryside. I found it to be very spartan with no TV and very basic bedding which was not very comfortable. The bath room is across the hall and not in the same room. Even though it listed “free breakfast” according to Expedia we were charged 15 CF per person per day. This was a nice one time experience but I would not stay here again.

This hotel was beautiful! We had a car, which made it easy to get to. There was a bus station at the bottom of the hill if you don't have a car. Stephanie, our hostess, was so nice and accommodating. The breakfast was good. The restaurant was closed for dinner the two nights we were there during the week. I would recommend this place if you want an excellent view of the ALPS.
