TV volume died on us and not another unit available. Was offered different room but significantly different beds. Hot tub heater not working and bathtub drain extremely slow. Sadly not compensated for these issues.

Older Hotel that has been renovated very well. My room faced the ocean and even that it rained the entire time I was there it was very nice. The gym was ok but the gym benches were in need of repair. Other then that I would say there again.

It was our first visit to the QBI and we were very happy with the friendliness of the staff, starting upon our arrival at the front desk with Noah, who was extremely professional and helpful in us changing our room. The gym, indoor pool and hot tub was very clean and we decided to stay in and have dinner in their restaurant, again with professional, friendly staff. We had a great couple of nites and will definitely return. The only I would recommend, is to change the deluxe king room courtyard description to being at back of hotel, theres no courtyard! Many Thanks for listening!

Parking on the weekends is definitely at a premium with the restaurant/pub crowd. No elevator so that could be an issue for elderly and disabled. Being right at the ocean is beautiful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were spotless. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud with the perfect pillow! I could not decide which view from our room was nicer, the foliage or the ocean! The staff, especially the manager were extremely pleasant and made us feel very welcome!

Good but lampshades etc needed dusting and carpets should be vacuumed daily.mini bar should also be replenished daily. All amenities close at 10 pm including front desk staff! No ice available after ten. Front desk manned by night accountant. No elevator. Not disabled friendly. Situated in room over noisy garbage canister… delivery and pickup at 7 am! Families with children should not be situated near elderly as they thunder up and down hallways. Supervision over underaged children not enforced at pool.

Beautiful location and hotel Close to beach and local shops / restaurants Friendly staff Cons: Our room was right beside the patio of the restaurant so it was very loud when people were seated there we could hear their entire conversations and we had no privacy just sit out so we just kept the door shut even though it was nice outside and we wanted some fresh air. Also, we noticed that the grout in the shower had orange mould on it so we were not pleased with the condition of the shower. It was obvious because the grout is white and the tile is white so you could see the mould easily on the grout

We submitted a complaint with manager Irina Hansen about our dirty sheets. Upon departure from the hotel we noticed that the sheets were soiled with what appears to be feces. In speaking to the manager, compensation for our stay is to be done by formal request through Expedia. We are requesting refund for our one night stay

Beautiful hotel! However for the price a few things could be better: there are no towel racks in the bathrooms, the bathroom fan was very dusty and we could hear a loud HVAC noise all night. We were able to sleep but it was a bit annoying / especially when we’ve paid over $200 per night. Staff were wonderful and friendly and efficient. Parking was good but I imagine in the summer it’s more difficult. The restaurant is very good.

Rooms were new and gorgeous. Sound proofing wasn’t incredible but the hotel was quiet enough by 10pm. Restaurant was nice and overlooked the ocean but the service was mediocre. Would stay here again. Probably dine elsewhere.

The hotel was newly renovated and clean. I chose the more expensive Ocean View room and was sad that the view was mostly of the roof. I did let the front desk staff know when we checked out. They said "Yea that room is overlooking the roof", but didn't offer a refund to the non Ocean View price. I feel like we were misled.

Good location and close to beach. Room was tiny, but fairly clean. A larger person would have trouble fitting in the bathroom. Main problem was the noise. Right next to a busy roadway on a hill. Listened to engine brakes until about midnight. Would suggest better insulation or planting more trees/shrubs to block the noise

Excellent customer service, but lack of elevator created challenges for physical limitations, having to request ice from the front desk was inconvenient and pictures of site were not reality as our room overlooked the roof of the pool room and not the sea as we expected.

Facilities were great. Staff great. Location great. Second night at 10pm the unit next to us started a blood curdling fight. Walls were hit and voices of two very furious men were loud with constant swearing for half an hour. I called the front desk they spoke to them and they settled for a few minutes and then continued their verbal and physical fighting. I contacted front desk a second time and after about 45 minutes they settled down but there was still a muffled argument. My wife was frightened and didn’t get to sleep until about 2 am. She is 77 and frail. I talked to the manager in the mourning and she said I should have called the police. It is not my place to call the police. That is the responsibility of the Inn. She gave us a free breakfast because I said I wanted my bill to be lowered. She couldn’t because I booked through Expedia. This spoiled our first vacation since the start of COVID. Will Expedia give us some kind of financial discount? Not a voucher but money off our Expedia bill. I hope to hear from you asap. My phone number and email is on the billing. Thank you.

The beach was beautiful and the restaurant at the hotel made our experience. The front desk were not as welcoming and the pool/hot tub was having chemical issues so that was disappointing as that was one of the reasons we chose to have our stay there. The patios and other common areas looked like the needed some TLC. We over all enjoyed our little vacation but probably wont return.

My friend and I stayed for two nights. Front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The first room had a loud hum in it and when I told them about it they immediately upgraded to a premium room with great ocean views and quiet. Beds are super comfortable and lived the personal touches of the robes and slippers. The only thing negative is the restaurant service was slow but the food was amazing. I would highly recommend!

Visiting Vancouver by ferry and decided to stay north a night . The hotel is very well maintained. Looks like the best act in town . Lovely restaurant-was slow but good for us. Felt a bit expensive- it’s a rocky beach and road repair was going on . Gas station out our window. Not a ton of stuff to do nearby but I think it’s the best north of Nanaimo. Would stay there again but not much reason to return

The location was Paramount. It is across the street from one of the most beautiful beaches however, the swimming pool and the hot tub were pretty sweet as well! And the dining experience was great. The best seafood chowder I have ever had.
