Crown Inn

The room wasn't too clean, dirty & stained bed covers & sheets. The bathroom sink was clogged & the shower pressure was very low. Paying nearly $400 for 2 nights of the unsanitary conditions is another a faur exchange.

Not a place to bring a GF or wife. Floor very dirty, cobwebs on the window, beds clean and passable. Furniture way past its prime, one lamp for the room. Flight out of EWR was cancelled which is why I was there. It is better than Terminal A, EWR.

For the price, it's pretty good, and the location is very good.

I booked a room for 4 weeks with a kitchenette, when I got there, I was given a room without a kitchenette. I went back to the front desk and told the mgr./owner took the reservation & the room they were going to give me the stove was broke. Then, it was further relayed to me that the rooms with kitchenettes, the max they are rented out for is 3 nights.... But I booked for 4 weeks & they excepted my booking. I was only in the room 3 to 4 hours and in that time, I seen a ROACH. I went back to the front desk told them I didn't want to stay any longer. I was told that they would refund me all but the 2 night (I missed the first night) so long as I check out before 11a. I was ck'd out by 10:55a recv'd an email that that I would be refunded but THEY TOOK OUT OVER $600 FOR 2 NIGHTS when my itinerary breakdown shows that the room rate for the 2 nights should have totaled about $175 I am now in dispute with my credit card because I still have not recv'd my refund almost 2 weeks now.

For me, travelling alone was perfect! The room is clean with an mini fridge e microwave oven. Definitely has some noise from the road ahead but not problem for me.
