Comfort Hotel Grand Central

Det pågår rehab/opppussing noe som påvirker korridorer/fellesarealer. Bra rom, men ikke mulig å låse vindu/dør - med vrider fra ytterside. Bra frokostbuffet. hyggelige ansatte.

Very good value for money and centrally located hotel for that is just right beside the train station. Room is decently sized and has good sound proofing. Note that you will have to walk quite a distance to the room from the lobby as the shape of the hotel rooms are a little odd and you may end up needing to take 2 different elevators.

Location is an absolute must! Can pretty walk much around the area to the touristy spot. Trams are located just outside and Train station a stone walkway away from the property without getting out. Breakfast is free and a lot to choice from. What else could you ask for? My only complaint is the room location is further from the main entrance. With 2 separate elevator rides and a long walk way with luggages in tow. Other than that it was a perfect choice.

Hotel was so convenient for the train station and my ongoing travel plans; the rooms were a little dark but the bathroom was large and bright with lovely spacious shower; bathroom light is on a sensor and mine took ages to go off in the night which was a little annoying; lift was out of order due to hotel renovations during our stay and had to carry heavy luggage up two staircases which was not ideal. I felt we should have been notified of this prior to our stay as there was no offer of assistance and unable to change rooms unless we paid for an upgrade. I

The reception staff are lovely, they go above and beyond. Facilities are excellent, but I would have loved to have had tea/coffee making facility in the room. Corridors are a little dated, could do with a refresh, otherwise room was very spacious and clean. Excellent location!

The hotel was refurbishing their lift but did not make this known to me either prior to arrival or upon check-in. When I went to my room I found I had to carry very heavy luggage downstairs (and up again on departure) and did not have anyone with me to help. I was returning to the hotel the following weekend so asked for a room that didn't require me to use the stairs but was told it wasn't possible unless I paid a considerable amount of money to upgrade my room. I feel the hotel should have made it clear that the lift was not working and could have done more to try and allocate a more convenient room on my return.

The location of the hotel is great! You can access the property directly from the Oslo Centraal Station, no need to get wet in the rain. Check-in was very quick, and the front desk staff were always ready to help for any needs. Depends on your room, requires a few rides on different elevators (different bldgs and different levels) but the room is basic, has basic things you need.

Great central location with everything you need close by. The breakfast at the hotel was great, the gym was fantastic and even though it is next to train station, the rooms are quiet. Would stay again!

Super good location from flytoget apt train. No signgs from railway station to hotel, in the same building. Friendly staff, inside room nice but big disappointment that window (wpuld have been beautiful view to bay and DFDS ship), was covered by metal plakat. Like sleeping in cellar, even if 3rd floor. This is not kind of room I expected. Breakfast nice.

We overnighted here before taking a train in the morning and for that the hotel is more than adequate with clean but tiny rooms and a serviceable breakfast. Being able to walk straight from reception to Oslo S was a treat. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Wir waren 3 Nächte dort. Leider wurde nie etwas in unserem Zimmer gemacht. Keine Betten, nicht geputzt..

Zimmerreinigung nur alle 4 Tage. Auf Wunsch auch täglich. Lage sehr gut. Zimmer trotz der zentralen Lage unfassbar ruhig.

The location of the hotel is amazing, as it’s very centrally located. The rooms were not as clean as the other places we stayed in Norway. We did ask for a room cleaning our second day there, but it wasn’t done. We were able to get more towels at the front desk, but we never had a bath mat. The chairs in the room were also quite stained, and the wallpaper was was a bit off putting as it was a print of cigarette butts. The breakfast every morning was quite nice and the staff in that area were excellent. They were cleaning the whole time, and the food was very tasty. Overall it’s a great location, but the rooms could all use some updating and cleaning.

On the plus side, comfortable bed and pillow, great location within the central railway station, quiet room and a really nice breakfast buffet. On the downside, no in-room fridge and safe, no pillow menu, no closet or space to put your clothes, and bad water pressure in the shower. All in all, I would still say that if a central location and good breakfast is most important for you it is still good value for money and would be recommended.

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast had lots of different options to help yourself to. The only thing I disliked was the automatic bathroom light which was blinding in the middle of the night. It would be good to be able to turn the sensor off at night - or have a ‘night’ setting with much dimmer lights.

Welcoming staff, clean renovated rooms and well presented breakfast. Unfortunately no tea or coffee making equipment in the room.

The location is fantastic. The layout of the hotel is a little strange but when you realize its history, it makes sense. The room was very small and basic. The breakfast has improved 100% since I stayed here last year. The problem, and it is a big one, is that there is no air conditioning. My room was almost 80F, too hot to sleep. If I had not prepaid, I would have moved to another hotel.

Adoro il freddo e tutti gli inverni sono in Norvegia ma in questo hotel dove mi sono fermato solo due notti per emergenza non sono riuscito ad aumentare la temperatura al livello desiderato nonostante usassi il comando. The hotel is perfect for a short stay. The room was a bit small, but the location couldn’t be better, it’s directly connected to Oslo Central Station. The only downside was the Wi-Fi; it worked well in the lobby, but the connection in my room was very weak, and I couldn’t get online during my two-night stay.

The hotel is in a great location. All the staff we interacted with were great and ver friendly. While the interior of the room was a bit scuffed and well used, we really enjoyed out stay. Breakfast was great too with a good selection.

We liked locations adjacent to airport train & city trams We especially appreciated how several of staff at reception went out of their way to help us when our flight home was suddenly cancelled & we had to stay an extra night

Check in was seamless and Frida, if I remember correctly, was really helpful in showing us points of interest for our 2 day stay. Local travel apps were highlighted to help navigate the city too which was extremely helpful. The buffet style breakfast was brilliant and a good mix to choose from. The room was small but cozy. It suited our short stay perfectly. The bed was comfortable but if you sleep with multiple pillows you will have to ask for an extra as it was only one pillow per sleeper but again this suited us quite well. We were travelling for my fiance's birthday and I asked that the hotel maybe put a balloon or something in the room prior to check in and they said they'd try but unfortunately they didn't do it. I understand that not all requests can be accommodated but if they did it would have made the stay a little more special. Other than that I recommend this hotel to short stay travellers for the friendly staff, tasty food and convenient location handy.

Excellent central location. Christopher at reception was fabulous! Walked to Opera House and other venues. Very easy to get around!

We stayed here due to its location by the train station, but the service was terrible. Our bed had a sheet that didn't fit the bed, so only one person could have a cover at night, and we only had one pillow! When we went downstairs to ask for a second pillow, the smiling concierge said he had no more pillows, but if we came back at 11pm maybe he could find one. What!? I find it hard to believe that a large hotel has no extra pillows. And the concierge was so unbothered. No apology or anything, just smiling away. Luckily we were only there for one night, but it was a night where I slept with no pillow and a blanket and my husband slept with a pillow and a towel as a blanket. Definitely would not recommend.

It is really convenient if you need continue to travel to somewhere else using the train as it is just located inside the Central station. I saw the Hotel name but still spending some time to find the way to go to the reception. It would be helpful if there are more obvious signs to show where the entrance is !

Great location in Oslo city, beside Oslo Central train station. Perfect for exploring Oslo.

Bra läge om enbart ta sig med tåg. Helt omöjligt att komma med bil för att hämta bagage.

Si vous avez un train tôt le matin, ne choisissez pas cet hôtel. Si en journée, on peut accéder par la galerie et donc l'intérieur, le matin tôt, l'accès est fermé et il faut passer par l'extérieur et les pavés (toujours sympa pour faire rouler une valise)... La première chambre proposée était avec moquette et minuscule. Allergique, j'ai donc demandé à changer. On a dû attendre pour que la chambre soit préparée. Et là on a constaté que le ménage n'avait pas été fait. Au pied du bureau, au sol, une immense tache collante... Pour accéder au lit, il fallait monter un escalier droit et étroit ! Pas cool. Bien que située à côté de la gare, l'hôtel était calme. Sauf de l'intérieur : portes qui claquent, chaises qui raclent, etc. Nous n'avons pas pu prendre le petit-déj comme nous sommes parties avant l'ouverture du buffet. on nous a préparé un doggy bag mais on aurait préféré ne rien avoir : une pomme, un yaourt et une brick de jus d'orange ! Même pas un morceau de pain ou un biscuit. Un peu léger... le tout pour pas loin de 150 €. Vraiment abusé pour la qualité des prestations. Lors de notre arrivée, on avait séjourné au Thon Opéra voisin et on aurait mieux fait d'y retourner. On avait choisi celui-là pour l'accès direct que nous n'avons pas eu : galère pour la valise mais aussi noyées car il pleuvait le jour de notre départ. Bref, je ne recommande pas...

This hotel is built WITHIN the central train station, making it exceptionally convenient to transportation, with a view of the iconic Opera House. The decor is odd, industrial modern, stark but functional. Breakfasts were excellent, staff very helpful, and they are ecofriendly by cleaning rooms and changing linens every 4 days.

Excellent hotel located right on Oslo Central Station and next to mall and shopping stores. Very close to Opera House and the bay where you can see cruise ships and take tour of the fjord. Breakfast buffet is great with all the options you want. Highly recommended.

I could not have chosen a better hotel. It is conveniently located as part of Oslo central station. You can get to the train station without even go outside which makes going to the airport super easy. It is very close the opera house, the library and Munch museum. The tram and bus station are just outside the hotel which enable easy access to all other attractions in Oslo. The breakfast is great. Staffs are very nice. On top of that this is quietest hotel we have stayed. Typically, when your next door close the door hard, you would hear it. Not at this hotel. In our room it is super quiet. We do not hear anything outside which is nice. We would stay there again of we we visit Oslo again.

Hadde et bra opphold, men syns rommet lå altfor langt borte i forhold til der frokosten ble servert. Kunne med fordel vært litt mer varme på badet.

We got in late and check in was wonderful. They did tell us that people get lost all the time coming from the train station and yet they still don’t put signs up to show where the hotel is. Getting into your room was a challenge because he would take an elevator up to one floor have to walk across that floor to get another elevator to get to the level you were on. We cannot take one elevator straight to our floor with luggage. Breakfast was a disaster. Twice I had to try three coffee pots to get coffee. They continue to run out of plates food and was very crowded. Is the poor experience there the Room reminded us of a cruise ship room that we took 30 years ago when we had a very small room The light in the bathroom is motion activated and stays on for quite some time which is very annoying when you’re trying to go to sleep. Also, you have no option on temperature control.

Very centrally located . Great staff . Breakfast was terrible - coffee both mornings undrinkable, scrambled eggs very dry . Breakfast was included but not worth eating. Same kitchen however turns out excellent dinners which are not included. Its Italian and the pasta.was outstanding .

The room was tight so might not want to stay too many days here, although the bath room was inexplicably spacious. Right next to train station and other transit options, easy walk to Opera House and Munch museum, as well a a good number of dining options. Buffet breakfast had limited options and too little space.

The staff welcomed us warmly and even provided us a prepared early breakfast since we were not going to make their scheduled breakfast. The hotel is in the train station and that is convenient as well
