Packwood Lodge & Cabins

We arrived later than expected, but they called me and set up late check-in. Easy as pie. We only stayed one night, but the jacuzzi tub was exactly what I needed after a long day of hiking and other adventures. The cabins are fantastic.

Stand alone cabin with parking in front. Exceeded expectations.

Great place to stay. Easy check-in. Staff was great. The room was clean and in excellent condition (2-bedroom apartment). Only one issue that caused us some consternation was that cooking or even boiling water caused the smoke alarm to go off. It's far too sensitive. We had to open windows and the door to get it to shut off. This happened several times.

We enjoyed out stay. We stayed here to go to Mount Rainier. The room was great. My good is due to the office is only open 9 am to 8 pm and the ice machine is in the office. We would get back after 8 pm and could not get ice, and then would leave earlier and had to find other options for ice.

Nice clean cabin. I highly recommend the cabins. Full size refrigerator, stove, grill outside. Everything you need!

I stayed in the cabin for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Everything was spotless and well maintained. The cabin was fully equipped with helpful amenities like a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee machine, which made the stay very convenient. Room service did a great job, and it was so nice to come back from hiking and find everything clean and ready. The private jacuzzi inside the room was perfect for relaxing after a long day outdoors. There was also a grill outside, which made it easy to cook dinner and enjoy the peaceful setting. The location was excellent, very close to the entrance of Mount Rainier National Park, making it ideal for exploring. Overall, the cabin was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully equipped. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

It is a perfect weekend getaway from White Pass Resort to a short 20 minute drive to the Lodge. The family cabins were perfect with the jetted tub to the kitchenette. The check in process was very quick and the rooms were very clean.

The lodge was conveniently located so that you had access to the Paradise and Sunrise sections of Mt. Rainier. Nice setting off the main road . Room was spacious and very clean. Good pressure in the shower. It was nice that we could do a take out and eat on one of the picnic tables provided for the lodge guests. Cabins all had their own tables and a grill. We had 2 beds and if there were 2 people in a bed, the one bed sagged in the middle so my husband and I each slept in our own bed. I would say maybe flip or change out the one mattress. Overall, we had a great stay. It was quiet and no noise from any neighbors. Really beautiful property.

Room was fine, limited staff hours, where the ice machine was, but over all fine.

Everything was great! Staff was very friendly and helpful.Very convenient, The only downside If you're elderly With lots of luggage, there's no elevator to the 2nd floor. Other than that, we enjoy our stay. The staff made it very comfortable.

Loved our stay at the Packwood Lodge. We found it well appointed, clean, and comfortable.

Packwood Lodge was everything we were hoping it would be, and more! The room was clean, fresh, and well stocked with toiletries. The staff were very helpful and friendly - it was obvious that they truly wanted us to have a pleasant stay! The restaurant next door had outstanding food with equally excellent service! Just a few miles down the road there were several fantastic restaurants and stores! I would highly recommend this place! You will not be disappointed!

Rug was very dirty. It was very old and sticky. Needs urgent replacement.

Very clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Pretty quiet (and we had the room nearest the road so that means something!). Great location near Packwood and Mt Rainier National Park. Highly recommend.

drain flies galore in the sink and shower ! they need to put something in the drains to clean this out ! I had dead drain flies all over my stuff near the sink ! not happy

The rooms were spacious, but the lodge overall was a bit lacking. The toilet plumbing system could barely flush and the shower water pressure was really low. The beds also felt like spring mattresses, so were not the most comfortable. There were a lot of small dead flies and bugs on the windowsills on the inside of the room. The lodge is located about 5 min drive from center of town, where all the food and grocery store are. Room has AC and heating. Complimentary coffee and tea available. Overall average place, not worth the price except that it is close enough to Mount Rainier NP.

It's a very nice lodge. The room is very clean and we had a very good sleep.

Close to the road and we heard the noise of the traffic in the room. Noise isolation is not sufficient

Pros: Spacious, comfortable and clean. Great location close to Mount Rainier. Cons: The amenities are a little dated and our AC unit had something that was rubbing on the fan blades like a card in bike spokes. It cooled the room effectively but was pretty noisy.

We really enjoyed the king suite room, very spacious and comfortable.

The jetted bath tub was not functional and the bed was a double rather than the queen size that had been advertised. The bed was too soft and very uncomfortable.

Everything are good except wi-fi. The wi-fi signal was very, very poor inside the cabin. I have to go out to find the place closer to the lobby to get wi-fi connection. The place has no cell phone signal neither.

Closest hotel to The Stephens Canyon entrance to Mt Rainier. The room surpassed our expectations. It was fairly large, well-kept, clean, comfortable. Coffee maker, microwave. Wi-fi was good (we were adjacent to the office). Parking is beside the rooms. The outside is very outdated, but fairly neatly kept. A Mexican restaurant is next door, but only open for breakfast and lunch was my understanding. The hotel felt safe. The town of Packwood is about a 8-10 minute drive.

The property is in a very safe and quiet community. We stayed here for four nights and in three different rooms because we booked twice separately. Each of them is clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. During the second day when we were staying in the standard king bed room, my husband found out that the TV didn’t work, so he told the staff. Lisa came to fix it. After a few attempts she still couldn’t get it work, so she offered to give us a free upgrade to the cabin room with jacuzzi (hot tub) and kitchen. My husband rejected the offer and told Lisa that it’s fine without the TV because we would go to the park and only come back to sleep. But Lisa insisted on her offer and said we would love it! I was so glad my husband eventually accepted the free upgrade offer and it’s absolutely the nicest cabin experience!! We enjoyed it sooooo much that we are determined to book cabins like this one only in our future national park trips. Thanks for your offer, Lisa!

The room was very clean. Approaching check out time driving there. They left a voicemail on how to check in if we didn’t make it in time which was nice since cell signal was spotty. A small refrigerator is provided if you bring food.

Very pleased with our choice for staying near Mt Ranier. It was literally right up the road to the east entrance. Property was very clean, quiet, and when we could not figure out our TV, the front desk representative came to help almost immediately. By the way, the rooms are much larger than any other hotel room I have been in (we had a king bed? maybe that's why?) I kept saying.. this room is huge! It was very nice. Beds were comfortable.. showers had plenty of pressure and hot water. We were off season. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Thanks to the front desk for such a warm welcome and eagerness to assist.

The staff went above and beyond to make my stay amazing! As a seasoned traveler, I apprecited the different types of accommodations on one property! I highly recommend Packwood Lodge and if I am back in the area, will definitely stay here again!

The hotel and stay itself was fine, Grace at the front desk was not. Unfortunately, she was our first impression of the hotel and didn’t make it a good one. We had driven close to two hours from the airport toward the hotel when a construction crew said the rest of the way was shut down. We had to turn around and go an additional 3.5 hours around. I called andGrace was awful. I get that she has restrictions as far as what she can do, and maybe cancelling really wasn’t an option. However, she was so rude about it and offered no help. Thank god we called back and made sure the keys were left out in the mailbox or we wouldn’t have been able to get into our room. Just a bad start to the stay but the hotel is fine. It is was it is for an inexpensive mountain lodge.

I booked at the Packwood lodge last minute on a road trip, Madison was on duty and extremely helpful with accommodation of my after hours check in!

We waited 15 min for anyone to greet us upon arrival. Wi-fi was subpar - at least 3 other guests complained. The manager had to email IT to get it working - she said the wind takes it out. It goes out often. It apparently is the guests problem if you don’t continue to complain about it. No wi-fi means no capability to get/make calls, which could be problematic if you need to contact anyone. We also had moldy toilet paper, which the office mgr blamed on dust around the property. There was a housekeeping woman in the ofc who claimed she cleaned the room but the note in our room said Kevin cleaned it The office mgr essentially laughed in my face when I complained upon check out. I called the Frank Hotel call center and explained the situation and said I wanted some type of refund after she laughed in my face. They sent it off to corporate but suggested I go back to speak with the office mgr if I wanted a refund because corporate likely would not refund it. I went back in to talk to office mgr she said no refund - she called Juanita at their call center, they were discussing the situation as if I was being unreasonable. I asked for Juanita’s phone number, she said it was on our bill (it wasn’t) and, when I asked for it, she said Juanita told her not to give it to me. I would not stay here if you care about having access to making calls or if you want to be respected and not laughed at by both the office mgr and the cleaning staff.

On a week long road trip, the Packwood Lodge was my favorite place that we stayed. The staff is so friendly, the cabins are adorable, well stocked and clean. The beds are very comfortable too! I would definitely stay here again!

Customer service was poor. Rooms did not get cleaned and when asked it was not rectified in a friendly manner.

Young lady at front desk was extremely rude, not helpful and very inconsiderate. Good luck with that employee.

Excellent location to visit both Sunrise and Paradise points. Staff was friendly and the rooms were spacious with all amenities

Great place to stay!!! Conveniently located near White Pass Ski Resort. We’ll book again in the future.

Close to the entrance of Mt Rainier National Park on the east side of the park and restaurants are nearby in Packwood.

This place is in a great location on the White Pass Scenic Byway (US 12) about 4 miles east of downtown Packwood where there are several restaurants and a grocery store. The Stevens Canyon entrance to Mount Rainier National Park is about 12 miles east. The drive north from Packwood to the Nisqually entrance of Mount Rainier NP through the Guifford Pinchot National Forest along the Nisqually River is gorgeous too. The room was big with a really comfy bed/sheets and the bathroom spacious with good towels. The staff was really friendly and helpful. A great value.

Although no breakfast is provided, they do provide free coffee and hot water. They also have snacks for sell in the office. The hotel does not have much view by itself. There is a creek by the hotel, but the access is blocked by a private house. All the rooms face highway 12 so it will be loud since early morning. The cabins though are away from the road. The traffic however is convenient and the parking is easy.

Stayed here for easy access to Mt. Rainier National Park. The motel had all basic amenities, but it is an older property. No housekeeping unless requested! The town of Packwood was nearby for meals, including a grocery store. Would definitely recommend if you’d like close access to the park!

we were greeted by a very professional and friendly person at the front desk. We were very pleasantly surprised with the large and very clean room we were given. Really nice room with lots of amenities. The restaurant next door was exceptional for a delicious and healthy breakfast!

My son and I stayed here with our dogs for 4 days and I’d definitely go back. I would recommend staying in a cabin with dogs rather than the main hotel. The hotel is just a few minutes away from town and there is a cute restaurant within walking distance from the hotel. There were no services such as laundry or breakfast, so we did have to go get breakfast every morning.

They allow pets, so while rooms seem well cleaned, there is lingering smell of dog urine, if your sense of smell is astute. Location is great. Restaurant on site (7a-5p), check-in easy, nice staff.

A great overnight stop for our tour through Mt Ranier National Park the next day. Loved the brewery and coffee shop just down the road a few miles in Packwood.

Great property. People are nice. Best of all, is the breakfast/lunch ( Santo Milagro) restaurant across the parking lot.
