Very old, but full of character hotel. Room was spotlessly clean. Hats off to your housekeeping team. Comfy room, and surprisingly quiet for a fully booked out hotel in the centre of town. Selection of quality in house eating and drinking venues. I had dinner in The Irish Bar, which was very good. As a regular business traveller, I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel has maintained it's original essence from the 1890s. of course modernised features thoughout via aircon, TV etc in room ( and lots of bigscreens throughout the Dining/Bar areas) There is Parking Space onsite in an alley though and behind the building for about 10 vehicles, as onstreet parking is Signage1HR out front for between 9am to 6pm. Pleasant staff both at front desk in the dining room, and the cleaning staff are a happy lot too.

The room was very noisy, could hear the person next door snoring all night, also early morning when the MINE WORKERS were leaving. The room was dated but clean. The bathroom was accessible through the ' 2nd bedroom' which also housed the bin and the fridge! The bathroom was very dated but clean. the shower rose fell off when you increased the water flow, the 2 basin taps were difficult to use to get a reasonable temperature. Had to move a chair into the bathroom so we could place clothes somewhere after a shower. would not recommend for a long stay.

For the price the room was very ordinary. Fridge was turned off on my arrival and has mould on shelves and in door. Aircon off room hot as hell initially. There were hairs littered through the bed sheets. Certainly not mine which is concerning. I left at 5am because I felt uncomfortable being there. For the best part of $200/night for a single room the standard should be a lot higher I'm afraid. The room has squares not painted on the walls too. If you want to run a back packers lodge drop your prices significantly. If thats not the case then the standard needs to be a lot higher I'm afraid. I have lived in the Gold Fields for 30 years and have stayed at the Palace on several occasions. This might be the last time I'm sorry.

Property was old. Which had a nice charm about it. Room was small but warm and cozy. Room itself was very clean and tidy but around the shower sealant was a lot of black mould. Would stay again . Overall good for the price.

The suit was above a night club and no one informed us. At 10pm the very loud night club music would start till 3am. The whole apartment would vibrant from the music. You could not sleep it was super loud. When I informed staff they said there is nothing they could do. No to happy with this hotel.

We wanted to stay in historical and unique Palace Hotel in Kalgoorlie for a long time. Our room was on the ground level in Maritana Street. We were pleased with our stay, and found the room comfortable but very dark. It was a little noisy with mine workers coming and going, but that’s life.

Someone was playing music so loud at 2am I couldn’t sleep . Then at 5am all the fifos started walking up and down the hallways . Not really a place for general travellers to stay at

We did not have a balcony even though we believed we had booked one. Bar staff were tired and indifferent. Charged us $57 for a cheap bottle of wine to take to our room as they dont have a bottle shop or take away sales. Huge cockroach in the shower was disturbing. When reported to the duty manager the following morning we were told "you are in the country, you have to expect that!" Stayed once before and it was great. Not this time however. How things have declined.

Staff all really friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond in the Irish pub. Apart from my initial arrival where they couldn’t find my reservation and then informed me my balcony room was already given to someone else, they solved the issue and looked after me to compensate. Would stay again.

The suites are a short walk from the Palace hotel and located right on a bus stop on one of Kalgoorlie's main streets. The rooms and fittings are of average condition and would benefit from a bench and sink to wash dishes etc.

Last day was the only one night, but I did find the hotel to be rather tired and in need of some extra TLC. There were no face in the room, just towels and cake soap. It would’ve been nice to have some liquid soap. The bed was comfortable the hot water tap in the basin. Lots of turning to turn on the water. This should be reviewed. The food in the downstairs restaurant was very nice and the ambience is excellent.
