Very comfortable room and helpful staff. Unfortunately the elevator wasn't working. We were only there one night, so no problem, but they said it would be 5 days before it was fixed! Staff carried our suitcases up 4 flights for us. They were very attentive. The location in the port is great! Walkable from the train station, but it's all uphill if you plan on walking back!

Maisons du Monde Hôtel & Suites was an amazing hotel. We had a loft and it was amazing. Beautiful, clean and had everything needed from a fully functional kitchen to a washer and dryer. The staff was amazing and helped us by showing us restaurants and fun activities to do. They also provided a pass for the fitness center down the street which was a very good gym with lots of equipment and even a sauna. The only thing that was sad is that we couldn’t stay longer since it was such a perfect stay. My wife and I loved it and we will be booking again when we visit Marseille!

Very well located hotel in Marseille. The staff was courteous and helpful. Fitness club 53 afiliated with the hotel was very nice also. Downside is the size of the room, I had to hop over my luggage to get to the bed and there was no room to eat. If you are facing the street it is a little noisy. The design of the bathroom door makes it slam into the corner of the shower room, I caught my fingers in between and that hurt like hell. The carpet in the hallway smelled like dirty bathroom on the first day, maybe the detergent was off because the second day there was no problem. Otherwise decent stay

La ubicación es de las mejores. La vista que tuvimos directamente a la marina muy agradable. Si vas en auto es incómodo bajar el equipaje frente al hotel. Puedes estacionar a un par de cuadras del hotel, solo que debes planear bien la llegada para evitar el complicado tráfico de la zona. El servicio del personal fue muy bueno. El desayuno bien organizado y muy sencillo. La habitación muy cómoda y todo limpio.

The apartment was lovely, close to Vieux port and transport, with lot’s of nice boutiques and cafes nearby. But for most of our 2 days stay the lift was broken, and had to get help to get the luggage up and down the 4th floor.

Check-in Experience: Mel was professional and very helpful. We checked in late (after 11pm) due to a delay on our flight, and he made sure he walked us to our apartment unit. He also made sure that we knew how to find our reservation. General Experience: Proximity to all the general sailing locations and (our favourite) Musée du Savon de Marseille was super close by. As well as Les Arcenaulx, which claims to be one of the best bouillabaisse in Marseille. The market across from Les Arcenaulx is also delicious. Our room was spacious and very clean. We also upgraded for some small adjustments before our arrival, and they were able to accommodate without any issues. The concierge also ensured to send an auto message 24-hours before arrival for the address and tips. We stayed at their apartments and they were super well maintained. It came with a full set of cooking utensils and tea, etc. Parking: The parking at D'Orves was less than a 5-minute walk away, we paid 18,20€ for the 24-hour period. It was worth it because the Vieux Port is very booked up during the month of June until August due to sailing season. Overall: A

That The property was at the center was excellent. Restaurants and shops were all walkable. However, parking was quite difficult, and loadong and unloading if numerous luggages can be challenging because the hotel has (understandably) no driveway.

Excellent location, at first sight I would rate it excellent in everything, but cleanliness was not perfect; we found a dirty plate in the kitchen, one day our flat was not cleaned up, carpets are dirty, but, besides that, we enjoyed our stay, location is excellent and the flat had everything we needed.

Utrolig flott hotell rett ved havnen, vi hadde rom med utsikt over havnen. Var så fint, rom nr.106 det var morgenkåpe og tøfler på rommet. Kjempe god service både i resepsjonen og i frokostsalen, der de laget omelett og steikt egg til oss, det føltes som å være hjemme på ditt eget kjøkken, elsket det. Vi vil komme tilbake her neste gang vi kommer til Marseille. I tillegg var det super sentralt både til butikker, puber etc

While the hotel was quite nice and the cafe area great for a drink and coworking (with really fast wifi) I was disappointed by the lack of amenities. The rooms only had shampoo/body wash with no lotions or conditioner, no mini-fridge, and really poor air conditioning. It is quite disappointing to advertise a 4-star experience and then leave guests sweating in the room with minimal air. While the night manager did his best to accomodate us at 3 in the morning after hours of tossing and turning, it left a poor taste that it even had to get to that point. That being said, all the staff were excellent, the beer and wine selection was great, and the location was hard to beat.

Very clean property and is located in such an amazing area. The room is comfortable and well decorated. The front desk staff are kind and helpful. One of the ladies walked us over to where the suites are as it is away from the lobby. She even helped show us how the doors work to get in. The only "issue" we had was the air conditioning didn't work too well, so the room stayed around 26°C even when we set the temperature to the lowest setting.

En réservant une chambre Deluxe avec vue port dans un 4*, je ne pensais pas que la fenêtre ferait moins d'1m2 et serait située a 1m50 du sol. Très déçu. Le côté "cuisine comme à la maison" pour le petit déjeuner pourrait être sympa mais le lieu est trop étroit et la clientèle trop haut de gamme pour cette ambiance. Je suis aussi étonné de ne pas avoir trouvé un frigo dans la chambre. Il faisait très chaud et impossible de garder de boissons au frais.

We had the most enjoyable 5 night stay at Maisons du Monde. The hotel is perfectly located in the Vieux-Port. Very comfortable beds and our room was kept spotlessly clean every day. Reception staff were amazing - so friendly & helpful. I would recommend this hotel without question.

We stayed at Maisons du Monde - Marseille for the last 2 nights of our recent trip to Europe. Access to the hotel was great, easily accessed from the Vieux Port Metro station, which importantly, had escalators. The hotel is beautifully decorated, with rooms having various decorating themes. Our room was spacious enough (we'd booked a superior room) and clean, the bed comfortable. The ensuite bathroom was modern, with a wonderful shower. We had the buffet breakfast on our final morning (we had an early train back to Paris), and the breakfast cook couldn't have been more lovely, cooking eggs to order, warming up Croque Monsieur, nothing was too much trouble. The guest lounge is a great space to have a drink in, or to work remotely from (if you were working), with the option of lounge seating, or tables and chairs.

Outstanding location in marseille! The staff was so helpful in so many ways. From the great local advice, to watching out for our lost luggage delivery, to the personalized breakfast- just wonderful. This hotel has a small, personalized feel but the rooms are equal to higher priced hotels. Highly recommended.

The kitchen staff provided excellent service. The reception staff (with the exception of Marie) were not as accommodating; I requested assistance with securing a dinner reservation at Chez Michel believing that the young woman (long dark brown hair who worked the morning on July 11 & 12, 2024), was assisting but she did not follow through with me, I inquired once with her & she said she would call the restaurant around 12 noon; I did not receive any follow-up from her. If this is a service not provided the staff should have informed me instead of leading me to believe she would assist with the reservation.

Very friendly staff, eager to make your stay as good as possible. Nearly all of the staff spoke English very well, which was a great help. There's an excellent system for ordering your breakfast in your room by which you can pick your choices and set the time for delivery, but the breakfast room is lovely. Lovely, stylish decor , its always nice to walk back into the beautiful entrance room after a day out. The location is exceptional. Stunning views of the old port. You're in the perfect spot to discover the port, the shops and restaurants, and just a short walk to Le Panier (the old part of town). Be aware that the port is bustling and noisy but the windows cut out a lot of the noise.

Perfectly located in heart of old port and across street from metro stop that takes you to Marseille Train station. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Close to Cathedral. We had a wonderful welcome from super friendly staff, had mint lemon water in lobby, great hospitality. Clean, comfortable, warm hotel that makes you feel a bit of luxury, and they offered to store our luggage for several hours after we checked out, nice gesture. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Localisation très centrale et pratique, proche du vieux port et bien connectée aux transports en commun. Buffet de petit déjeuner complet et accompagné d’un service sympathique. En revanche, même avec une chambre au 5e étage, c’est bruyant le soir avec de la musique jouée dans la rue aux jusqu’aux alentours de 22h/23h tous les soirs. De plus, il y a un McDonald’s en bas de l’immeuble.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The decorations were lovely and the location of the hotel is perfectly in the middle of the port. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The only feedback we would have is we didn’t know that there would be a price increase from £11 to £20 to buy breakfast in person (vs online). If we had known this we would have purchased before arriving but £20 seemed a bit too expensive and especially knowing it would’ve been £9 less online. Otherwise this was a minor issue comparatively and we would definitely stay here again in the future.

Comfort rooms very small. Need to do gymnastics to see the sky. Breakfast absolute chaos. Staff and guests colliding trying to get food in no more than a narrow corridor. They obviously have no idea of food hygiene. Uncovered food laid out on draining boards adjacent to a sink which is being continuously used. Hence food being splashed with dirty water. Bowl of cooked bacon and sausages with no means to keep it warm and no indication of temperature. Staff unhelpful. Avoid this hotel.
