Homewood Suites by Hilton Atlantic City/Egg Harbor Township

The elevator stopped working for 36 hours, forcing us to leave a day early. And that morning it still was not operational.

The elevator on the left malfunctioned every day of our week stay. Sometimes the door didnt open. Sometimes the elevator let us off at a floor that wasnt our floor. We were concerned a few times the door wouldnt open. The chinese kids running upand down the hall was annoying especially when we saw the parents chasing them. The seating in the room definitely needs to be thrown out. Cushions were very worn. Dont replace cushions replace the couch entirely &seat. Everytime someone flush toiled near us ours ran a few times, hard to sleep with that going on. Toilet was very low just like the seating for some reason, why not have a regular toilet?

Very friendly desk staff; nice property and amenities. Has a nice pool; only issue is no hot tub. Also occasionally smelled pot. I didnt mind and it is state legal but may be an issue for people who do mind.

The elevator was broken, no fan working in the bathroom and trash on the ground at the front entrance.

I HAD AN OVERNIGHT STAY AT HOMEWOOD SUITES AND IT WAS THE WORST STAY I EVER HAD. AT ANY HOTEL . FROM THE FIRST ENTRY IN THE HOTEL THE ELEVATORS WAS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. WE HAD TO CALL THE FRONT DESK FOR EVERY MOVE WE MADE THIS HOTEL IS AN EMBARRASSMENT FOR THEM TO CARRY THE HILTON NAME. THERE WASN’T ANY ICE MACHINES ON ANY OF THE FLOORS ONLY THE 1ST FLOOR AND WE WASN’T INFORMED BEFORE WE REACH OUR ROOM SO ONCE AGAIN WE HAD TO CALL FOR ICE . THE HOTEL SEEMED LIKE IS WAS A HOTEL FOR THE HOMELESS. THE BREAKFAST WAS TERRIBLE . THE BEST THING ABOUT THE HOTEL WAS WE COULD COOK IN THE ROOM . THE HOTEL HAD TOO MANY NEGATIVES AND NO POSITIVES. WE ALL HAVE A DISABILITY AND WE COULDN’T JUST WALK UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS. AND THE DIRECTV SERVICE WAS NOT WORKING THEY TRIED TO FIX IT BUT IT KEPT SAYING CALL THE FRONT DESK. THAT WAS SO IRRITATING. SO WE JUST TURNED THE TV OFF. I WAS SO HAPPY IT WAS ONLY FOR AN OVERNIGHT STAY THEY DIDN’T OFFER ANYTHING TO HELP THE SITUATION. ALL WAS SAID WAS SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE. AND SORRY THAT THE ELEVATORS WAS WORKING PROPERLY. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN. BESIDES THAT THE PARKING WAS GREAT. THE ROOM WAS OK NOT GREAT. THE STAFF WAS VERY APOLOGETIC BUT NOTHING COULD MAKE IT BETTER. WHEN YOU PAYING YOUR MONEY YOU DESERVE BETTER.

No elevator, TV didn't work, and the room smelled like rotten cheese! I had to open the window to breathe. Only reason we stayed was because we were visiting family for Thanksgiving. They offered a refund of 50 dollars. They should have refunded the whole amount for the stay!

Staff was great. Elevator is broken and apparently has been for months which requires staff to operate the one working elevator. Need to call front desk to access elevator. Reserved a roll-in shower for one room via Expedia and the room provided had a tub. Property condition needs some refurbishing.

The elevator was being 'worked on'. Saw no signs of this. Had to wait every time to get someone to operate the elevator. We were in town to celebrate a friend's birthday, so spent a lot of time dining out. This was a pain having to wait for someone for the elevator. So we just took the stairs after while. Other than that. Staff was AMAZING!!!

We loved the kindness of staff, the large clean room, and especially the breakfast.

I had bedbugs in my room

The hotel was very clean and it smelled very good. When housekeeping cleaned our room during our stay we could tell real cleaning products were used. The cleaniless was greatly appreciated. The staff was very helpful and courteous! Everyone the front desk housekeeping the dining staff everyone was very nice and personable. The tv in 1 of the bedrooms of my suite did not work but everyone was so nice and it was clean that I didn’t even complain.

Stains on the couch. Hallways smelled.

The furniture was dirty . The shower head was filthy with mildew. The rugs in the room were smelly and so much hair from other dogs. Pet friendly doesn’t translate as poorly room conditions. I have no choice but to stay due to a business conference but never again.

The room I was in had multiple issues where there was cracks in the shower mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. There was a tick on the bathtub. There were marks on the rug and in the floor in the kitchen. There were spots on an ottoman, and one of the TVs didn’t work at first.

Spacious suite and comfortable stay but the hotel needs to be updated or at a minimum a really good cleaning. The beds and bathrooms seemed clean enough but the common areas in the suit - living room, counters, table tops were all very grimy. The living room didn’t even look like it had been vacuumed before we arrived and the counters were sticky. The overall hotel felt a little grimy and outdated/not super clean as well. We paid a lot of money for the night and the quality overall was disappointing.

I was so disappointed the sofa in the common area dirty stains covered the whole sofa. Then there's the kitchen most cabinets was full of roachs. I was given another room not much better, but there were no roaches.

Cleanliness of the rooms was below par, employee attentiveness was slow.

Property is dated. The room was big and kitchen was a bonus. Waited 10 minutes to check in because front desk lady was on her cell phone on a call. She didn’t even acknowledge me standing there. By the time she got off the phone there were 3 of us waiting to check in.

The hotel really needs to be updated. One of our bed frames was broken, there were big holes in our blinds, our room door looked like it had once been pried open with a crowbar, I cut my leg on a piece of bed frame that was jutting out, the elevators weren’t working properly, and the outer door closest to our room was unlocked 24/7 (you didn’t need to swipe your key to gain entry).

The carpet was torn the laminate floor was peeling and there was no hot water. Never again

It’s a nice 3 star hotel. Nothing fancy or extraordinary. It was convenient and close to story book land park. Double bed room was not available and we had 2 kids. The unfoldable bed was not too comfortable. Otherwise it was clean and ok for 2 nights

For the price I paid the Beds are very hard and uncomfortable it aggrevated my hip and back pain. The furniture is old and outdated. You could hear people right above you walking across the floor and flushing their toilet. They charge the price of a 5 star hotel when they definitely are NOT. There were two knives lying in the hallway floor. People have to eat off of the silverware so why where they outside of someone’s room on the dirty carpet in which it looks like they never vacuum

Rooms were large and comfortable. The kitchens were efficient with all the necessary supplies. The WiFi was good and all other amenities were available as advertised.

Great staff! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious, but it is old. The carpet and couch were worn down. However, the amenities were great, including the kitchenette. Would come here again.

We arrived the day of the Crowdstrike outage, so the hotel's computer systems were down: nothing could be done electronically (e.g., room card keys couldn't be distributed, and check-in was done with pen and paper). The staff went 'old school', designating a member of the team to let guests into their rooms, handing out bottled water, working past their assigned shifts, etc. They could not have been more pleasant and accommodating, especially under these difficult circumstances. Breakfast was good each morning, and the location is ideally close to Atlantic City and Brigantine.

It was clean and staff was courteous.

The staff is always welcoming and super nice. The hotel itself is showing some wear and tear, but the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Very clean close to shopping and restaurants friendly staff

From the UK, We were visiting family in the New Jersey area and this was central to where we needed to be. Even New York was within driving distance! The staff were friendly and welcoming, spotlessly clean and couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you Team! We will be back :)

I love staying at Homewood as it only 15 minutes from Atlantic City which makes it so convenient for me to easily travel back and forth to visit my family. I will definitely stay again…and again! 😊

I was nervous after I booked about all the negative reviews. But pleasantly surprised when I got there. The rooms were clean and neat, much to be expected for the price. Elevator not working was a bit inconvenient. But otherwise, good. Good breakfast.

It’s not worth the price I payed because when we checked in they offered coffee in the lobby that was cold then we go to our room and try and take a shower the shower didn’t work and all the supplies they offer were empty and when I called the next morning and explained to them they said someone would come and fill them and that never happened I had to go myself and get them and was told I would have house keeping the next day and that never happened.

This has to be one of the dirtiest hotels. Couches have holes in them. There is no water to buy. Breakfast is terrible, the hotel smells. Just overall, such a bad experience. I really wish I didn’t stay here.

We had a one night stay for a wedding. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a great selection. The staff were very friendly.
