Being new to Chicago, I wanted to start my journey in the Streeterville section of the city. I wanted to stay in a small quiet luxury hotel to avoid the hustle bustle of the bigger hotel chains. Ivy Boutique was perfect ! Rooms are clean and the hotel is well maintained. They stored my luggage before check in which enabled me to take in a Cubs game. They also stored my luggage after check out. Upon checking in , they gave me a coupon to a local Irish pub for 20% off. I choose a room that included a soaking tub and a separate shower. The living room and the bedroom each included a TV. The whole hotel room was approximately 675 square feet. The room would make a great apartment. All it needed was a microwave and a small stove. The hotel doesn't have a pool which wasn't a deal breaker for me. The area itself is very walkable with lots of restaurants nearby. Try Volare, an Italian restaurant right around the corner. If you never been to Chicago, the Streeterville area is very busy with lots of people walking around. The hotel is only a block away from Michigan Ave with lots of medium to high end shopping as well. My stay at the Ivy Boutique Hotel made my visit to Chicago very enjoyable!

Outstanding, we loved it here both nights. This property does not have onsite parking or onsite restaurant per Expedia’s site. I parked around the corner in a ramp as my vehicle is a Nissan Armada & spaces are too tight for the ramp this hotel offers at $61 per night. We are both nights at Nora’s a block away it was so delicious & staff were wonderful!

The benefits of this property is that the one bedroom suite was spacious, but it did not have a door that closed off the one bedroom from the sitting area. We had three adults and were told that the couch could be slept on, but I had to ask for three extra blankets just to pad the couch to make it comfortable enough. There was not much hotel staff— but when we did request extra pillows and blankets, they were brought to us relatively promptly or we were giving them right away in the lobby level when we asked. Most of the front desk, staff was friendly and helpful, but one lady was very snippy and had attitude. There’s a rooftop deck, but it is closed to hotel guests because now they only use it for parties, which I thought was incredibly unfortunate to not be able to sit up there and work when it is not in use for private parties. Note that there is no gym. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, the bathroom was quite large with the sunken tub and separate standup shower that had a wonderful rain, head and strong pressure.

Even though the hotel says there is a roof top bar and restaurant, there is none. The rooftop is only for paid parties. It is closed otherwise. There is not a restaurant on premise. To get early check in I had to pay $50.00

The room was spectacular! The walls were very thin though - there was a wedding party at the hotel and I think guests from that were next door and yelling and screaming all night. Check in guy was not very friendly - only said maybe 3 words to us. The girl helping at check in was amazing though. The parking situation is AWFUL! The garage you have to park in is terrible. It’s also on St Clair street which is info they should put on their site so it’s easily accessible! Not a great view from our room, but this room was amazing. Bathtub and shower are on point!

The Hotel does not have a pool, gym or restaurant. The bar in the lobby also doubles as the front desk. It feels awkward to enjoy a cocktail when guests are checking in and out. We were quite disappointed when learning on our arrival that the hotel’s roof top deck is only available for private parties. Despite these shortcomings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chicago.

Everything was terrific except two things... 1) check in time is 4PM. WAY to late 2) One elevator was out of order the entire time. It made for a very frustrating wait each time I returned. Othjerwise the hotel and the staff were terrific.

Had a good stay for two nights. Rooms were big and clean and nice bathrooms. Because it's a small place there were few options for dining inside the hotel, but you could walk outside and have immediate options all around. Biggest negative was no ice machines, so you had to go to the lobby and ask staff who would have to retrieve it for you from somewhere inaccessible to the guests.

I picked this hotel because of the advertised parking options. When we checked in we were told the parking is around the corner (no big deal), but when we got to the garage it was full. While you can get your parking from this garage validated from the Ivy hotel, they do NOT have guaranteed parking available for the Ivy guests. Do not pick this hotel because of the seemingly cheaper/convenient parking option.

The bathtub had a pubic hair in it. There was no tea or travel cups. The bed was to squishy and could feel under it. Bouncy and noisy. Plus size women can't do that. Even for sex it is dangerous and noisy and u go thru the mattress.

This was a very nice property. Hotel room was nice and spacious for us. Some issues were the mirror TV didnt work and a few obvious wear and tear around room. The counter was chipped. It was still rose petals and dirt around the bed.

Hotel was fine. Furniture was a little rough. There was mold in the shower. Acoustics were terrible and we could hear the people in the next room. Ordered coffee one morning and the carafe was full of old, sour coffee. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't seem like a 4 star hotel.

It looks like the bedding hasn't been changed since the last person stayed. There was no flat sheet on the bed, only a quilt with a quilt cover that had a big opening on the inside, you could easily see and touch the quilt from that opening.

Room was very nice and spacious, and the bath tub was just fantastic. The windows are huge with automatic blinds and the decor is beautiful. My only complaints are the outdated TVs, the screen that wasn’t working in the bathroom and the comforter that wasn’t thick enough.

I wouldn’t pick this hotel if you arrive by car. They’re basically the only hotel in the are without valet oh parking close by. It’s also quite noisy, meaning the rooms are not very well isolated and we were woken up early by cleaning in other rooms and people moving around outside the room. For the price there are way better options in Chicago.

The bed was very uncomfortable. It was very stiff and had little to no cushion. The pillows were a bit thin and were also very uncomfortable. They had absolutely no cushion. My husband and I spent 3 nights there and we didn't sleep very well and ended up with back pain/stiff back.

Really nice, spacious, hotel in excellent location, very near Mag Mile. Really comfortable rooms that made my 5 nights very pleasant. Only one thing - the Wi-Fi was patchy so some improvement there would be appreciated.

The hotel room itself was beautiful and modern, but the attitude of the staff completely ruined the experience. The customer service was shockingly poor, you’d honestly receive better treatment at a roadside motel. The staff were unhelpful, dismissive, and gave the impression that they simply didn’t care to be there. I couldn’t wait to leave.

Traveled For Pride, I originally am from the south suburbs of Chicago but i now live in Ohio. When I arrived it was a woman who came from out of country having some credit card issues, that pushed everyone's check in wait time til 30 minutes plus, which was frustrating after i had already been awoke for 24 hours (work then traveled) but once i was checked in everything was good, i didnt care for the small platform under the bed and wish it was a tad bit higher off the ground. The had complimentary tea and coffee but i wish their was more sugar and cream. Also i wasn't aware of the $100 per night incident fee so that was harsh on the pockets a tad bit. The housekeepers did a wonderful job every time they cleaned! Made everything looked brand spanking new. Check out was smooth and quick

Tv in the bathroom doesn’t work. Shower door makes loud noises as if it’s going to break. Bed uncomfortable. Blinds did not work. Definitely not worth the cost, would stay anywhere else.

The location was amazing! Staff went above and beyond! Room was nice big and spotless! I left an item, and the minute I called Francine told me what I needed to do! Roxanne & mya were also amazing! . I left a pair of glasses in the room. I called and inquired if they had been found! They indeed had been found. They told me what I needed to do to retrieve them (as I reside out of state). I sent a shipping label and they packaged the glasses and shipped them back to me! The communication was superb, and it’s not something that you come across often!! Great people! Amazing hotel and I’ll be returning!

My experience soured upon checkin and as they say first impressions are everything. I was there for one night for a business event and I chose a VIP property knowing that I could hopefully get an early check in. Upon arriving the fro t desk said they had no rooms available however for another $60 they could get me a room before 1pm but still no guarantees. So why would I pay this ? I think normal check in was 3pm. They didn’t care if I was an Expedia VIP member. Also others were able to check in. It’s too bad since the room was nice. I booked a junior suite. I would not stay here again. I’m always in chicago on business and there are too many other fabulous hotels

We came to check in only to have the front desk give us a key card that did not work and the room was already occupied by other guests. Super loud and noisy guests around us made it hard to sleep and feel safe. Called for some amenities like more towels toilet paper toothpaste etc and it took them an hour to bring up only half of the requested items. No one offered to help carry up our bags for us. Great location between Michigan Ave and the lake, close to lots of shopping, restaurants and attractions but still feels off the beaten path. The suite style rooms have a cool, sleek design that feel both contemporary and comfortable and are very good sized with a large bathroom, sleeping area and separate full-sized living room. Friendly, helpful front desk staff and lobby bar but no real other amenities.

Location was excellent for a chicago winter downtown. Lots of options for shopping, site seeing, second city, RH Cafe, lincoln Zoo. Stayed in a larger room, very clean and nice bathroom.

Amazing location right in the heart of River North Chicago. Close to a lot of good restaurants and shopping areas. The room was excellent. We had the suite, it had 3 separate areas and was very comfortable.

Just a few minute walk to the Magnificent Mile and the waterfront. The room was cute and clean with a great bathroom. The building is secure and self parking was just around the corner in a garage. We’d stay again.

The location of the Ivy Boutique Hotel was perfect for what we wanted to do We shopped Michigan Ave, walked to the Bean, Grant Park, State Street, Navy Pier We visited the Ice Cream Museum, Cultural Center, Apple Store Unfortunately the amenities at the Ivy Boutique Hotel were lacking. The Hotel does not have a pool, gym or restaurant. The bar in the lobby also doubles as the front desk. It feels awkward to enjoy a cocktail when guests are checking in and out. We were quite disappointed when learning on our arrival that the hotel’s roof top deck is only available for private parties. Despite these shortcomings, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chicago.

Very quiet, the only thing you could hear from the room was vacuuming in the hallway. The shower was incredible. Lobby bar was closed during the weekend which was a buzzkill.

Very nice property. I will still again. When we booked we didn’t know they were under construction so the rooftop wasn’t open and the restaurants and lounges were closed. I ordered door dash and the front night counter clerk misplaced my food. I understand things happen so I will give them another try

Found this to be a rather quiet and comfortable stay, a few blocks from mass shopping, but good dining options. EL was a little further out to connect to everything else. Enjoyed the large size, making it relaxing when often rooms are far too small. Only thing to fault is the under trained bartender who seemed very inexperienced, and food options at the property are minimal.

From the moment I arrived the front desk was so nice with my early arrival. They were accommodating and helpful. Above and beyond service. The cleaning staff were so nice and polite. I never felt closer to home. The room was 15/10. Will definitely be back.
