Supertrevligt, fräscht, jättebra frukost, imponerande gym osv. Vi testade inte poolerna men särskilt poolen på takterrassen såg riktigt trevlig ut. Det var även ett väldigt bra läge med gångavstånd till restauranger, shopping, etc.

Lovely hotel and facilities and breakfast. Nicely appointed. They charge too much for guest pool access, but perhaps it’s to limit the numbers. We had a nice swim but price meant we only did it once as a quick dip seemed silly.

Oppholdet var ganske bra. Rommet var lite, men fint. Det er uten tvil det beste treningsrommet jeg har sett på et hotell, både i Norge og i utlandet. Meget god service på de som jobbet der. Eneste som var litt skuffende var frokosten. Jeg hadde kanskje regnet med enda bedre utvalg på et slikt type hotell, men det som var å velge mellom var helt SUPERT! Så vil absolutt bo der igjen om jeg får muligheten.

Very nice hotel, cental location close to the National Theatre Station that and connection to Oslo Airport. Fantastic breakfast, very fancy interior with lots of passion for details. The Spa/Pool package costs extra money and requires early reservation. Unfortunately, there are no chairs or deck chairs inside (so no real wellness atmosphere), instead dozens of changing cabins that are hardly used.

This hotel is a fashionable gem with great service and dining BUT some of the policies need work! The pool isn't indoor/outdoor...they're two separate pools and the outdoor one is $37 for ONE hour, even if you're a guest, only if you're over 16! You can't even see the pool without paying! Kids get the dark indoor one. This is beyond ridiculous and inconsiderate to guests who book without knowing. (There's even a charge for the indoor one.) A flaw in an otherwise grand experience.

The loft room was perfect for me and my teenage son. We each had our own sleeping area and privacy when wanted as heavy curtains close around each king bed. The hotel was very clean and the bedding, towels, and slippers were top notch. We were able to walk to all of the sights from the hotel which was lovely. The sights we visited in walking distance include: the National Museum (also highly recommend), the Museum of Norwegian Culture (a bit of a walk, but worth it), a kayaking tour with Mad Goats, fjord cruses, and many waterfront shops and restaurants. Another highlight was the hotel breakfast! The menu options were all delicious. Also available were smoothies, fresh fruits, fresh bread, cheeses, cured meats, oats, chocolates, and macaroons among many other options! It was such a pleasant surprise on our trip and something I looked forward to each morning as we started our day. I highly recommend staying at Sommerro! I hope to one day return to Oslo and enjoy this hotel once again.

This is a great hotel, better than the other five star hotel I stayed in Oslo a week ago. The rooms are very nicely decorated and clean. The staff is extremely helpful. Alexander at the front desk is one of the best i have met. My son accidentally broke the glass lamp in the room. They sent people to our room to clean up in the mid of the night. The lamp is not cheap. I offered to pay for the damage. Alexander said no need. It was an accident. It happens. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location in quiet area with plenty of tram options for easy transport around the city. Also close to station for airport express train. Breakfast experience did not fully meet my expectations for a five star hotel. In particular the filter coffee on offer was barely warm, even when I asked if it was hot and was never offered an alternative. I did ask for a cappuccino one morning but it never arrived. Nice room but need to pay attention to cleaning less obvious areas as there was some dusty spots.

The hotel is beautiful, everything in great condition except for a flickering light in our bathroom. Also, they do not have a concierge which means having to go to the front desk for everything. Only other negative thing is that dialing for service/ help/ booking from the room was met with either no pick up or is slow. These were the negatives. Positives, fabtastic breakfast at a beautiful restaurant, service staff very professional, wonderful spa w infra red sauna, fantastic gym, a pool and common sauna, we stayed in most of the time Rather than venture out to the cold.

The hotel misses the main objective: to allow customers to rest! It is not acceptable that in a 5* hotel the air flow system is not controlled in the room! In a 2 nights stay, one was impossible to rest, with the freezing air straight on the nose all night! The other, on a different room, was better yet not good! The permanent air flow system is noisy as well. Cash is not accepted, if you’re coming from abroad, be prepared to pay the card extra taxes in every single transaction! On the rest, the hotel is fine.

Property was beautiful. Just had an issue with the air conditioning not working so the room was quite stuffy. Noise from room upstairs was a little annoying and the lights that come on at 10pm in the centre of the building are rather annoying when trying to sleep especially if you are allocated an inward facing room.

Rommet var uten bord man kunne sitte med en laptop å jobbe på. Rommet var også ved siden av heisen, og det var veldig lytt ut i gangen, hørte heisen som kom, og folk som gikk forbi døra. Frokost var middels utvalg, men to fluer fløy rundt maten som er mindre delikat. Kunne også få laget varm frokost fra kokk (norsk og engelsk frokost) Ellers fint rom, god seng og dusj med godt vanntrykk.

Fint hotell, men rommet var en gigantisk skuffelse. Loftsrommene er de rimeligste på hotellet, men de er klaustrofobiske og veldig utrivelige - særlig med en meter snø på toppen av rømningsveien (takvinduet). Kost på deg et bedre rom for å nyte oppholdet på Sommero!!

The hotel was rated 4 star. The checking in was pleasant. However the room was a complete surprise. It’s more like a dorm instead of a hotel room. When one opens the door, a long narrow hallway shows up. On the right of the hallway is the wall. On the left, it starts with a bathroom, a storage area, the first bed with curtain and the second bed with curtain and a tiny window the size of a pet door. The room is clean. The bed is okay. The space is crowded, there is no area for relaxing, and there is no TV. It is very different type.

Var vanskelig å få kontakt med hotellet via tlf i, prøvde i to døgn før man oppnådde kontakt. Fikk ikke tak i verken resepsjonen eller resturanten. Men veldig hyggelige og imøtekommende ansatte når man først fikk kontakt og ved innsjekk, middag og frokost. God middag, bare en uheldig biff som var rå. Måtte vente ca 15 min på å få den tilbake som medførte at de andre var ferdig spist. Men utover dette var middagen veldig god, bra frokost med mye utvalg og fine råvarer.

Not a service for a 5 star hotel; the structure is amazing with spa and restaurants very impressive. I would definitely improve the level of service: guest service by phone not efficient; we had a problem with the conditioning air which was not solved.

Sommerro was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. It's new, and they have spared no expense to please their customers, yet it's reasonably priced. The rooms are gorgeous & clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable. Little amenities like water stations (still & gas, plus ice) on every floor where you can fill your carafe are a terrific touch. The gym is state-of-the-art. The restaurants are fabulous. There's a rooftop one that's nice for drinks & a great view. The service is impeccable. We did not want to leave! If you're in Oslo, you MUST stay here.

To make things worse, staff knocked on the door even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly displayed, which is a complete lack of respect for guest privacy. Without a doubt, one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. Poor service, unresponsive staff, and a total absence of basic hospitality. It doesn’t deserve more than 2 stars. I do recommend the hotel, which is very nice and well located. Unfortunately, I do not think the same about the main bar. On August 7 2025, my experience at the Ekspedisjonshallen Bar in Sommerro Oslo was deeply disappointing. When I questioned the bartender about apparent favoritism — as he continued serving drinks to select patrons while ignoring us in a bar that was still open — his response was not an explanation but mockery. With a smug, condescending smirk, he made us feel belittled and unwelcome, more like a schoolyard bully than a professional. The situation escalated when he called the host to ask us to leave, treating us as if we were a threat for simply asking a reasonable question. This blatant favoritism and public embarrassment ruined what could have been a pleasant evening. If being treated like an inconvenience is your idea of a good time, this bar won’t disappoint. Hats off to the bartender and the host — you’ve truly set a new low for hospitality. Tijdens inchecken gaat het snel en de personeel zijn behulpzaam. Mensen uit Noorwegen zijn erg relax en rustig. De kamer wat we hadden is niet groot maar het is wel te doen voor met z’n 2. Tijdens Lunch en diner was erg top. We genieten van het optreden van jazz muziek terwijl je aan het relax bent. Veel geld mee nemen want het is geen goedkoop eten en wijn/bier!! De volgende dag wil ik gaan zwemmen op het dak terras. Op afspraak!! Helaas moet ik bij betalen 365kroon = €32 euro voor een uur. Er is verwarmd sauna en verwarm buiten zwembad. Echt aanraden. Ik kom tot rust. En het ontbijt is net een hemel. Erg goed en veel keuze! De trein station van airport naar sommeren hotel is op loopafstand 3/4 min lopen naar het hotel. De stad klein 10/15min loopafstand . Ik kom erg graag terug hier, want het is een mooie hotel met designer. Bedankt het team sommeren hotel :).

Badet hadde alt en trenger, inkludert en deilig dusj. Flott frokostmeny med nydelig Eggs Benedict. Det koster å bo her, men her er alt på stell. Til og med en egen kaffebar i lobbyen, med deilige sandwicher og kaffe. Plasseringen til hotellet er perfekt. Trikken og bussen går rett utenfor og det tar 8 minutter å gå til Karl Johan. Fantastic hotel! Ideally placed - public transport right outside the door to take you all over Oslo, and only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms so comfortable with everything you could need. I would definitely stay here again

Sommerro is a nice high quality hotel very close to city centre. The rooms are nice and the hotel decor is very pleasant. The restaurants are rather disorganised but maybe that was due to New Year’s Eve: booked a table at TAK at 9:00 pm and won’t seated till 10:30pm. The service was also extremely slow and the food was very nice but very scarce and expensive. On the other hand, to apology for their disorganisation, they offered us drinks which we appreciated. The bar and restaurant on the main floor is very nice and staff very friendly. The pool and wellness area pleasant although the men’s sauna wasn’t working. On the whole a nice experience and would go back.

Brukar bo här när jag besöker Oslo. Denna gång var mindre bra. Servicen tog tid. Väntade 15-20 minuter på min frukost var sen tvungen att ta en smörgås och lämna bordet. Min dyraste frukost någonsin. Åt även middag där det var mycket oerfaren personal som absolut gjorde allt de kunde men det är inte premium om det är det ni siktar på.

Sommerro was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at. It's new, and they have spared no expense to please their customers, yet it's reasonably priced. The rooms are gorgeous & clean. The beds are amazingly comfortable. Little amenities like water stations (still & gas, plus ice) on every floor where you can fill your carafe are a terrific touch. The gym is state-of-the-art. The restaurants are fabulous. There's a rooftop one that's nice for drinks & a great view. The service is impeccable. We did not want to leave! If you're in Oslo, you MUST stay here.

This was our favorite hotel of our two week trip around Norway & Iceland. This art deco hotel is beautifully maintained and decorated. There was an impressive breakfast every morning, a beautiful pool, and the fastest elevators ever! We also loved the location and easy access to tourist sites. We had a wonderful stay!
