Our stay was ok. The hotel was clean and our room was nice. Staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel is right next to a local diner, so that was helpful for a quick bite. The only “issue” I had was that the pool was so cold that we couldn’t swim and that was one of the main things I was looking for when booking. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

For an overnight on our way from Vermont to Myrtle Beach it was okay. The place is “tired” and needs a complete refresh: chipped paint on doors and moldings; The pool deck floor was peeling, But my only real complaint was black mold in the caulk in the bathtub. Yuk. I don’t know if it was in every room.but it was in ours.

We have stayed here before & will continue to stay here.I'm going to do my review in sections so it's easier to understand: Location: It's a straight shot to Hershey & attractions. Maybe a ten minute drive, if that. Close to gas stations as well & is an easy on/off the interstate location. Room: We had a king suite, the room was big & had a nice layout, some wear & tear but nothing to really dive into. I would've given this visit 5 Stars; however, the shower wouldn't get hot. (Silly to not give it 5 stars; probably, but after a long day, I like a hot shower). I didn't ask staff about it, we were fine. Also, & this is to be expected, my son said the couch bed was not comfortable. We ended up taking the mattress off & using it on the floor. He was fine with that. He's also 15 & moody, so take that for what it's worth. Our bed was firm and comfy. Breakfast: It was a good layout with a nice spread: Cereal, yogurts, fruits, sausage, turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, and waffle maker. Pool: My husband and son got in the first night, they said it was cold. Hot tub was not working that evening. The second night of our stay, the pool was closed for the day. Fitness Room: My son used the eliptical and free weights. He tried to use the bowflex, it does not look like it is working well & for safety, I had him stay off of it. Staff/Check in: Check in was super easy, as I got a text to do so. The only time I spoke to staff was getting my key, he was super friendly. Hope this helps!!

This hotel was unacceptable and I'm not sure why Expedia has it rated the way it does. It is very misleading to have the rating of 8.0. When walking in the door, you immediately can smell the chlorine from the pool. While my room was on the second floor, the musty smell and humidity were present in the room. The carpet was dirty and the sheets were damp from the humidity. If that wasn't bad enough, the bathroom has visible mold in the tub and the wall near the tub was also moldy and damaged. Clearly the hotel was aware and removed part of the wall but did not fix the wall or remove the mold entirely. After attending a concert at Hershey Park Stadium, it was late and I live 2.5 hours away - the room was so gross that I checked out at midnight to make the drive because it was not healthy to stay there overnight. Not only was the experience unpleasant, Expedia and the La Quinta staff refused to refund me the money I spent on a stay I didn't use. I even had pictures of the mold in the bathroom. Expedia's agent I first spoke with assured me that I would be refunded no problem especially with the health concerns. Then I get an email days later that they tried to contact the property manager but the property manager refused to refund. Expedia's only response was to offer me $25 OneKey Cash for a future stay ... $25 on a booking that cost me $150 for a moldy, dirty room of a hotel that gets an 8.0 rating on their website. Lack of accountability from either party is ridiculous.

Room was dirty and falling apart. My wife hurt herself on the chair when it broke and exposed sharp screws. Bathroom was moldy and had hair and was gross. We don’t shower and we got out of there as quickly as we could.

I am 80 years old and have done a lot of traveling. This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. Things in my room were broken and the bathroom had black stains around the tub/shower area. The hallway carpet had many stains. If I didn’t pay in advance, I would have cancelled and gone to another hotel.

We were told we couldn’t check in until 2:30 and that our room on the first floor was being cleaned. At 2:30, staff was changed, and we were given a room on the second floor. The room was old and dirty. But we had no choice, no time, we needed to get to our destination. When we arrived back to the room exhausted after a very long day, we had to endure barking dogs right next door in addition to the dirty room.. Again, I didn’t complain because everything was sold out in the area and we just wanted to suck it up and do what we needed to. The next morning we left for our conference at 6:30 am. Again, didn’t complain. But we refused to to use the shower because of how dirty it was, instead of using the elevator we went down the stairs. OMG the stairs had carpeting filled with stains! It was so dirty you can smell it in the halls. Gross! So gross! Coming back we decided to not stay the second night because it was that dirty. It was a long ride home but there was no way we were staying. But when we got back we finally did complain but the front desk manager told us the cleaning crew left and also told us that when the cleaning manager is not there, the cleaning crew do not do a great job. So anyway, booking through a third party, we were told and given a small refund because we didn’t complain the first night. Ugh! So when you pay a lot of money as a customer, pretty much it’s your responsibility to inspect the room in a timely fashion before the hotel or the third party can make

Receptionist was fine but when we entered the room I immediately saw that some spots of the wallpaper were STAPLED. Bathroom had mold in the shower and cobwebs on the ceiling. We found a few bedbug in both Queen beds. Needless to say, we did not stay but left within a few minutes. When I reported my findings to the front desk, there was no apologies or surprise! As soon as we got home which was a 3 hour drive leaving shortly after midnight, we left everything in the garage and hopefully, the hot washer killed anything we MIGHT have brought home. The outside appearance and lobby would never have suggested the condition of our room. We did not stay so hopefully, I will receive a refund.

This place was very, very dirty. I have a number of pictures of mold and mildew in the shower and on the bathroom floor. There were stains on the comforter and a pillowcase that looked like blood. Several things were all scuffed and broken. The bathroom door didn't close. One of the doors on the bureau didn't close. The carpet on the stairs was black with dirt. The outlets on the nightstand wouldn't hold a normal charger. The room was dusty. The was practically no water pressure in the sink. The sink was missing a stopper. The towels and wash cloths were wet.

The woman at the front desk was not very welcoming. When we arrived, she was on her phone and it took her a little bit to acknowledge us. I was having some trouble using the key and on my third time having to go back to the front desk to tell her it wasn’t working, she comes with me to try and when i did it wrong, she take the card out of my hand and shows me how to do it. This upset me because she could have explained to me how to use it when i went to tell her it wasn’t working the first time!! The room wasn’t up to par. There were long black hairs in the bed and all over the bathroom when we arrived and nobody in my party has black hair. The carpet and bathroom were dirty and the bathroom especially was very dusty. The air conditioning in the room worked very poorly and we kept having to get up to adjust it which was very annoying and inconvenient. All of the doors and furniture had visible damage and the beds seemed to have broken springs that made them very uncomfortable & lumpy. We got a room with two queen beds and each bed only had two pillows which we thought was strange and didn’t enjoy very much. We woke up very early because the thin curtains let so much light into the room. The cleanliness of the room and halls put a very sour taste in my mouth so i was very apprehensive of the breakfast. When we went out to see how it looked, the eating area was extremely crowded and there was nowhere for us to sit even if we wanted to. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The lobby and room were clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were some broken things in the room. The two outlets in the lamp by the beds were broken, therfore charging the phone by the bedside was impossible. The on/off switch on the desk lamp was broken. The only way to turn off the light was to unplug it. There were no room darkening curtains in the room, therefore street lights were visible all night long. Finally, the sink didn't drain the water immediately. These were small inconveniences, but they should or could be rectified easily.

Everything was fine except our water in our shower. It did not get hot so my family and I had to take Luke warm showers. Also the bottle for body wash in the shower was labeled body lotion. Finally the light in the shower kept flickering as well. We enjoyed the breakfast and the beds were comfortable. Room was clean.

Staff were nice, breakfast was ok- as expected, but the place in general is a bit run down and in need of repairs. In a couple of the rooms we were assigned, the wallpaper was literally stapled together. Unfortunately, the worst part of the stay was the bed. It was an all-spring mattress and quite uncomfortable. I barely slept. :-(

Really the stay wasnt bad but i we arrived at the hotel at 1130pm given a room no problem. The main entry light was broken but whatever, not a bug deal. The room was hot as hell. We turn on the ac and found out why, it sounded like an apache helicopter was landing on the bed. We were so tired i waited until morning to complain. Not problem we will fix it. Who ever fixed it went into the room turned it off and said fixed. The room again hot a hell, no ac and no light. Front desk changed our room no problem but why say it was fixed

Walked in at 11:15pm to the front desk employee sighing when she saw us and then couldn’t find our reservation. Gave us our room keys and very quick directions with no further details regarding our stay. Entire hotel needs maintenance work done (water stains, carpet wear, rusty bathroom fixtures) and a good housekeeper (bed sheets were stained and room was very dusty. Needs more lighting in the room (very dark) and better breakfast options (eggs, sausage, bread, cereal, yogurt, waffles, and small variety of pastries). Ok for a quick overnight but not interested in coming back.

We originally had reservations at the hotel across the street. We had confirmed an early check-in. When we got to that hotel, we were told there’d be a three hour wait. They were incredibly rude and we canceled our reservation. We Really lucked out with this La Quinta! Not only was check-in a breeze, they were kind and helpful and let us check in early with no issues. The room was comfortable and clean. The hot tub was amazing and really made our stay perfect! Excellent customer service all around! Highly recommend!

The best part is the support staff and all folks working at the hotel. The hotel is quite and safe. I love being able to travel with my dog. I wish all guest would make it a priority to pick up after their pet. I enjoy the convient location . The hotel does have some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. I enjoy staying at this location. their petthe dog outside. It is the right thing to do

The lady at the front desk was a bit rude, they do not provide housekeeping services until you request one and I had to walk to the front desk to get toilet paper and towels. The lights were dim in the room and no brightness. The breakfast was good atleast.

The service and staff made this an excellent experience - the front desk people were great and especially want to call out the breakfast attendant on June 20th - he was so good and his service, focus on guest needs and friendly demeanor is enough to make the difference for us in booking this hotel on our next visit!

The foyer was modern, bright, clean, and spacious. Check-in was quick, easy and friendly. We also appreciate that breakfast is available until 10 AM instead of 9 AM as is offered by many others. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We were told we couldn’t check in until 2:30 and that our room on the first floor was being cleaned. At 2:30, staff was changed, and we were given a room on the second floor. The room was old and dirty. But we had no choice, no time, we needed to get to our destination. When we arrived back to the room exhausted after a very long day, we had to endure barking dogs right next door in addition to the dirty room.. Again, I didn’t complain because everything was sold out in the area and we just wanted to suck it up and do what we needed to. The next morning we left for our conference at 6:30 am. Again, didn’t complain. But we refused to to use the shower because of how dirty it was, instead of using the elevator we went down the stairs. OMG the stairs had carpeting filled with stains! It was so dirty you can smell it in the halls. Gross! So gross! Coming back we decided to not stay the second night because it was that dirty. It was a long ride home but there was no way we were staying. But when we got back we finally did complain but the front desk manager told us the cleaning crew left and also told us that when the cleaning manager is not there, the cleaning crew do not do a great job. So anyway, booking through a third party, we were told and given a small refund because we didn’t complain the first night. Ugh! So when you pay a lot of money as a customer, pretty much it’s your responsibility to inspect the room in a timely fashion before the hotel or the third party can make

Great location for travellers near interstate 81. The facility offers great valve and friendly staff. Rooms are quiet clean and comfortable. Great breakfast offering and the local favourite Manada restaurant is situated next door where food is outstanding and affordable.

Super clean hotel, friendly staff and close to restaurants. Easy on/off Rte 81. We needed two rooms including one dog friendly one. We booked online, so much cheaper than calling 800 reservation line. We’d definitely stay here again on our next trip north.

I know this isn't a 5 star hotel, I've stayed in other similar chains, however, this was most disappointing breakfast. Nothing edible except waffles and for fruits, oranges and apples. No pastries, bagels, real eggs. Also, the bathroom was dirty with hair and some red power (make-up maybe). We were there for 2 nights, just to sleep and left before check out, so I didn't bother checking with housekeeping. I will never stay in a La Quinta again.

This place was GREAT!! All of the staff were friendly, great amenities and wonderful breakfast included with your stay. It’s a little outdated but for the price, who cares! Beds were comfy, room and common areas are super clean. Only 12 minutes to Hershey Park!

The property was clean and felt safe and had plenty of parking. The staff was super nice, greeting everyone and asking if they needed anything. Not much to complain about but if I had to, the breakfast was super basic and never varied. Eggs, turkey sausage, white bread for toast, yogurt, apples and super sugary cereals. No granola to go with the yogurt. They did have two waffle makers which helped because it seemed busier during the week than on the weekend. Rooms had Keurig machines therefore the coffee was tastier in the room than in the breakfast area. The bathroom and hallway lighting was dim so hard to makeup on for us gals. Would I stay again? Yes. We were there for 4 nights.

Check in was supposed to be at 3pm. We arrived at 4:15 and there was a line out the door waiting for their rooms because they weren’t ready yet. Waited another hour to get into our room. You get what you pay for I guess, very minimal food for breakfast in the morning too

There was no working water fountain so no way to get any water before bed, and the whole building smelled funny. Breakfast was also lacking. But its an easy drive to Hershey Park which is nice. Overall a very ok experience.

The bathroom was not properly ventilated resulting in the bathroom ceiling peeling and bubbling and causing there to be condensation dripping down the walls after a shower. This also made the room feel sticky and humid. Our room key did not work consistently. Staff was helpful and prompt. My family enjoyed the breakfast buffet and loved making their own waffles.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Juice at breakfast was out of order so my daughter has nothing to drink cause any choice was coffee. The shower didn’t have conditioner. Had Shampoo, Body Wash and Body Lotion.
