Fantastic amenities , fabulous room app for house keeping and room service orders. The grounds were excellent and very well kept , we had a suite and room was big and spacious with a great view of the ocean . Only real downside was the steps which are everywhere and not always visible

A lovely ten day stay in an ocean view room - the staff were friendly, efficient and a pleasure to deal with! We used the fitness centre and enjoyed stretch and yoga classes during our stay, the instructors were excellent. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and cocktails by the beautiful outdoor pool in the evening. An electric buggy was available on demand to takes us down to the road where a 5 minute walk ended with a plethora of choice of eateries by the sea, including local market food stalls. We plan to return !

Amazing time at Amatara. The resort and staff were great …. Did yoga and all the teachers were nice ! I enjoyed my sea view villa … breakfast was delicious … a lot of choice … their bread pudding is just the best! The rooftop bar has an amazing view.

In a quiet location on Phuket with awesome views and a jaw dropping infinity pool. We had a bay view room which was huge and a gorgeous balcony. We even had a bath with a view. It was a lovely touch having a free mini bar and snacks refreshed every day. The sun beds around the pool were busy, but we always seemed to get some. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection although some dishes were cool when it opened at 6:30am, eggs cooked to order. Quite a few local restaurants within walking distance with amazing sunset views.

We spent 6 nights at the Amatara Resort. One highlight is definitely the breakfast, which offers a wide variety of dishes that change daily. This was by far the best breakfast we had in Thailand during our 3-week trip along the Andaman Sea coast. Additionally, the gym is very well-equipped with modern equipment. The outdoor pool is really large, and the loungers with padded cushions are extremely comfortable. We had a Bay View Suite with a great view. There is a 7-11 within a 5-minute walk. Also, there are plenty of dining options nearby. The only downside is that the food and drinks at the hotel are exceptionally expensive, and the portions are very small (a small Chang beer costs 290 Baht).

Absolutely stunning hotel. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty. A very smooth check in process, greeted with a welcome drink and cold towel. Lovely reception staff who then take you to your villa/room by buggy and show you the room features. We stayed in a villa and it was incredible - beautiful room & well equipped. Amazing pool and view over the bay. The hotel has amazing facilities - restaurants & bars, private beach and spa. Highly recommend to anyone A****

This has been one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed on. The property is beautiful and has a private beach that is quiet and relaxing. The room has a direct view to the ocean and is spacious and nice. The pool is wonderful and so is the service, all of the restaurants in the hotel are fantastic and have a great variety of food, the staff is generous and nice. Also, the spa has very different therapies that I have never seen in my life, i opted for an Indian head massage and it was wonderful. The fitness center is very complete and they even offer personal training and yoga, TRX, and Pilates lessons. Me and my husband never want to leave!!!

This was an our second time here and it didn’t disappoint. The service and especially the housekeeping is exceptional. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The pool is lovely although there isn’t much shade to escape the sun. The area is quite remote with only a few small restaurants nearby but transportation elsewhere in Phuket is easy and inexpensive.

When we arrived, the person at check in was probably in a bad mood and made us feel uncomfortable. The room did now look like in pictures and there was hair on the floor and in the shower. Shower was old, leaking water from the shower part on top, definitely not a 5* standard. Unable to take bath as water was brown. Service at restaurants is very bad, we spent 20 min with dirty plates without them being cleared, not to mention the food was not tasty at all. We tried 2 out of 3 restaurants. Some staff were very nice, apart from person that did our checkin. He even told us that a tour we had booked for 5 days in advance can’t be cancelled and we will for sure need to pay penalty. Of course this was not the case and one other colleague helped me cancel immediately next morning. On arrival, we booked a taxi through hotel (1800 thb), more that it should have normally been. However, on our way back this was 1000 thb (still booked through the hotel), not sure how or why. Overall, we loved thailand and our stay was nice apart from what I mentioned above. We paid 200USD deposit, which we never received back at check out. Waiting on a reply from the hotel on this and also on our deposit back asap.

If I could, I would give this hotel and the staff 10 out of 5 stars. Everything was more than perfect. Super facilities, everything clean, incredibly friendly staff, large, bright and friendly rooms, always good food. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. It was the perfect hotel for a perfect vacation. Always happy to return.

The resort was beautiful, my room was amazing, clean, spacious, bathtub overlooking the ocean. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Expect to walk ALOT, the resort is huge and hills to get everywhere. They will pick you up in a golf cart if requested, and going into town seemed like a hassle. We spent our time at the resort, but 3 days was plenty. The beach was a little disappointing, wasn’t very big, but very rocky if trying to get in the water. They have paddle boarding and kayaking, unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate during our stay.

We had a great stay here, very restful and peaceful. Our villa was quiet and perfect with an incredible view. Also incredibly spacious with a huge bathroom. Private beach access was amazing as well. It was the perfect place for our last few days in Thailand!

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and overall the experience was mixed. Hotel is located in a remote area of Phuket that is quiet and private. There is a private beach that guests can go into, the beach has a lot of rocks so I'd recommend wearing one of those beach shoes that protect your feet. There are shuttles that can you around the resort and to the main road, the shuttles are on time (not much waiting) and the drivers are nice and attentive. We book the villa with a pool, the room itself is spacious for 2 people and the pool is nice with a view of the ocean. It has all the amenities but there are a few things here and there that can be improved: 1) outlet in the bathroom are hard to plug in, you'd really have to force the plug in 2) hair dryer cannot be turned off, and the switch is stuck so we were able to use only one setting We booked a romantic dinner and it was average at best. The food were cold, over-seasoned (some were too salty, some were too spicy), NOT what I'd expect from the 5-star hotel restaurant. You can find better food at some of the mom-and-pop restaurants down the road The staff can also improved on communication and service level. We ordered room service, but it took 1.5 hours and 3 calls for the food to be delivered. Morning of our checkout, we called for the shuttle to pick up our luggage, but they sent someone to checkout our room instead Overall the hotel is nice, good amenities but the service can be improved a lot more

We book the villa with a pool, the room itself is spacious for 2 people and the pool is nice with a view of the ocean. It has all the amenities but there are a few things here and there that can be improved: 1) outlet in the bathroom are hard to plug in, you'd really have to force the plug in 2) hair dryer cannot be turned off, and the switch is stuck so we were able to use only one setting We booked a romantic dinner and it was average at best. The food were cold, over-seasoned (some were too salty, some were too spicy), NOT what I'd expect from the 5-star hotel restaurant. You can find better food at some of the mom-and-pop restaurants down the road The staff can also improved on communication and service level. We ordered room service, but it took 1.5 hours and 3 calls for the food to be delivered. Wir hatten einen Ocean Pavilion gebucht, in der Hoffnung, das Meer von dort aus auch zu sehen. Zwischen den Bäumen und Pflanzen hindurch konnte man auch tatsächlich etwas Wasser erkennen. Mehr aber nicht. Wir lieben Pflanzen sehr. Wir würden dem Hotel Management jedoch dringend empfehlen, die Pflanzen zu kürzen und auszudünnen, damit der Ocean Pavilion dem Namen wieder gerecht wird. Ansonsten hatte uns der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and overall the experience was mixed. Hotel is located in a remote area of Phuket that is quiet and private. Absolutely stunning hotel. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like royalty. A very smooth check in process, greeted with a welcome drink and cold towel. Lovely reception staff who then take you to your villa/room by buggy and show you the room features. We stayed in a villa and it was incredible - beautiful room & well equipped. Beautiful property right on the ocean. Very friendly staff. Great service. Excellent food. Just great views from every spot. We had a private pool in our villa - one evening we were drinking Champagne in a regular tall glass by the pool, didn’t bother to request a flute. Next day, our housekeeper noticed that and brought us flutes without us asking- that’s called service!!

This was an our second time here and it didn’t disappoint. The service and especially the housekeeping is exceptional. The resort is beautiful and the rooms are very nice. The pool is lovely although there isn’t much shade to escape the sun. The area is quite remote with only a few small restaurants nearby but transportation elsewhere in Phuket is easy and inexpensive.

This is a true RESORT. A person would come and stay here to take advantage of everything the resort has to offer. It is very far away from everything else in Phuket. So they make sure that everything you would need can be found at the resort. They have some of the NICEST staff I have ever met. Shoutout to Joy at the front desk.

The property is beautiful, well kept, rooms are lovely and staff are friendly. The golf cart rides are wonderful and necessary as the resort is built on a hill side. The small town is walkable and fun to explore. Street vendors are there every evening and the food is very good. The breakfast at the resort is the best!!!

In a quiet location on Phuket with awesome views and a jaw dropping infinity pool. We had a bay view room which was huge and a gorgeous balcony. We even had a bath with a view. It was a lovely touch having a free mini bar and snacks refreshed every day. The sun beds around the pool were busy, but we always seemed to get some. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection although some dishes were cool when it opened at 6:30am, eggs cooked to order. Quite a few local restaurants within walking distance with amazing sunset views.

This place is honestly the best place to stay if you are looking for something quiet and relaxing. Most amazing views of the ocean with a walking distance to a private beach. The staff were just perfect, so lovely, easy to talk to and always there in a heartbeat. It is walking distance to most restaurants as well as a massive river/lake. The stay was amazing minus the food and slow service of the restaurants there. There was mold on my food, part of the lamb was cold and it took 30 minutes just to get our water with 3 workers on the floor and only 4 tables with people . The restaurants get a 0 star and the rest is 5 star .

We had a good stay here, apart from food. The spa and wellness program is very good. Staff are very professional and trained. Resort has good view and everything but the food here was little bit disappointing as we are vegetarian and the resorts breakfast spread and restaurants had very limited options. But whatever is available is good and tasteful. I would certainly like to visit here again.

This was by far the best breakfast we had in Thailand during our 3-week trip along the Andaman Sea coast. Additionally, the gym is very well-equipped with modern equipment. The outdoor pool is really large, and the loungers with padded cushions are extremely comfortable. We had a Bay View Suite with a great view. There is a 7-11 within a 5-minute walk. Also, there are plenty of dining options nearby.
