A very poorly maintained hotel!! We were trapped in the lift for half hour. The lift dropped by 2 feet the moment we stepped into the lift with the lift doors open. Suddenly; the outer lift door slammed shut. The internal door was not closed and the lift started dropping down slowly with the doors open!!! After that the lift went up to the top floor and came down again, jerking violently intermittently. I really thought the lift was going to plunge!! It was the most frightening experience I ever had. After 30 mins, the technician let us out at the basement floor - supposed to be an emergency rescue exit! However, the basement exit was filled with construction items, and in pitch darkness. It was so terribly unsafe..

I had an excellent stay in this hotel overall. However, one notable downside was the lack of air conditioning in the lift lobby. This made it uncomfortable, especially during hotter parts of the day. Additionally, the waiting time for the lifts was longer than expected, which became a bit frustrating during peak hours.

Overall experience let down by not working lift. There are 4 lifts for the 39 storey, but only 2 are working. The corridors are dark and dirty. The room interior is fine though.

The room was spacious and clean, equipped with essentials like towels and toiletries. The king bed with four comfortable pillows are great options. The pool on level 7 was lovely, with a adjacent dinosaur-themed water park. Entry to the water park is RM20 per adult or child for hotel guests. Otherwise, it's RM50 I think. The hotel is divided into two towers, and the clear signage makes it easy to navigate. One of the biggest perks is the direct link to KSL Mall, which boasts many hair salons and a supermarket. Just behind the hotel, there are plenty of local food options to explore. Most other malls and eateries are just a short Grab ride away, at around RM20. All in all, KSL Hotel & Resort offers great convenience and comfort, making it a solid choice for a short stay.

Came for a 2 night stay from SG. Chose this hotel because of water park and bathtub in room. Didn't have chance to go water park tho. My room was acceptably clean and rather spacious. Bed was comfy. The bathtub had some burn marks (probably cigarette butt burns, even though hotel says no smoking) but otherwise clean and functional. Didn't spend much time in the room since purpose of stay was to enjoy the surrounding area. Location of hotel is great since it's just above the mall. Lots of very good eateries within and nearby the mall as well, and a cool convenience store (Avery Day) opposite the hotel lobby area that closes at midnight.

The toilet in the room was in a poor state of maintenance. The bath tub leaks after taking a shower and wets the entire bathroom floor. There are no hand towels to dry off your hands. Thete are no room sleepers provided. Asked a housekeeping staff for slippers and it was never given. Bed spread was stained and old and discolored

Bad experience. As a regular, I am utterly disappointed this time. During the first night. At 2+am. I heard loud noise coming from above floor and it last for 2 hours. It sounds like some work is carry out. So we get to sleep only near dawn. Was trying to use the house phone to call customer service but both phone is not working. The bar fridge is also not cold at all. Next day went to customer service to feedback on this, and he promise to send tech to verify. But when we are back, nothing has been done. I request for high floor as I wanna admire at the scenery but I can’t. The window is full of thick dust. When look thru the window, it seems like going to rain but actually is sunny day. Cus the dust is so thick that it blur up the vision. The air con control panel display is so dim it can hardly be seen. Hope the management can look into this matter and do some thing about it.

bedsheet was stain with blood so didn’t check during check in so after come back at night spotted it so can only request them to change the bedsheet think they don’t change a clean one as the replacement also got spot . might be the dirtiness of the bedsheet set cause my face to have bad break out . indeed they might want to save on washing the dirty bedsheet , they should also check instead of taking another room sleep bed sheet n place it into another room . hotel is not cheap so i dont see why they can’t offer clean bedsheet for customer who stay 3 days 2 night . I hope to see a clean room if i visit again in the near future

The toilet floor gets very wet after each shower. The water leaks into the dry area outside the shower screen. The wardrobe and cabinets look very old and worn. There is no shower cap provided which was a problem because only the rain shower works and not the handheld shower head. We stayed at Tower 2 room 2329. Need an upgrade badly. There is this constant sewage or longkang water smell in the underground carpark and when we walk outside the hotel. The glass windows are coated with dust and dirt, very unsightly. However, the hotel is very conveniently located with lots of new eating places sprouting up all around.

Check-in and check-out is very fast. Room and toilet is very clean. Bed is also comfortable. Toiletries are bare minimum but sufficient. A hand shower will be better than the overhead "rain" shower as some times we don't want to get the head wet. Room is too dim and can do with more lights. There are bed for 3 pax but only 1 chair. Will be good to have at least 2 chairs in the room. Overall, it is a good staycation with plenty of shops and good food outlets in the building.

I always stay in this hotel whenever I visit JB as it's location is next to a shopping mall which I like. However, in terms of cleanliness, it's only reasonable as I've spotted a tiny cockroach scuttling away in the bathroom.

The wifi at tower 1 was horrible. For a business traveller, wifi is important. It was so bad that I am unable to do any proper emails as the internet is always intermittently on, and the speed it gave was not really good. I was not able to do any teams meeting and the receptionist attitude was not good at all when this matter was being feedback.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel. On the last day of my stay, around 6:00 AM, a stranger entered my room without permission. I was shocked and asked who he was, but he just stared at me for a few seconds and left without saying anything. I immediately called the reception and reported the incident. The hotel staff promised to investigate and said they would email me within a week, but I never received any follow-up or explanation. Both the security and the customer service were extremely disappointing. A hotel that cannot ensure basic safety is unacceptable, and I would not stay here again.

We requested for late check out and got no response. Upon asking the staff at counter he said that coz of weekend they won’t do. Also after check out I asked him if I can fill a water bottle and he said there is no water dispense. I am sure the staff should have drinking water where they drink the water from. We were there for 4 days. I wasn’t sure about being inside the mall but it worked perfectly as part was closed while we went for breakfast. Food was nothing amazing just what you expect for a buffet although mashed potato was good addition , I recommend that especially as I am Scottish. We had dinner one night there 48 ringgit each and it was lovely. Plenty of choice. Room was the executive and an ok size. Check in and out was simple and fast. I would go back there
