Great stay! The new owner has renovated the hot tub to a hugh spa that was awesome! Pool was nicely warm for it being pretty chilly out. Room was nice and clean with a great shower. Great location and is near everything. Overall, very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again!!

This place exceeded our expectations. Owner was friendly and nice. Place is clean and we especially loved the swimming pool and the hot tub. We were able to soak in the hot tub watching our kids playing in the pool, all while glazing upon the night sky checking out the stars. It also has a propane fire pit with cozy area next to the hot tub. At the front there are BBQ and a wood burning fireplace guests can use. This all in addition to a clean space, complimentary popcorns at the front desk, plus voucher for breakfast at Screamer! Can’t ask for more for the price we paid. Their pool closed after the thanksgiving long weekend but I wouldn’t mind staying again next spring/summer!

The staff was great to work with. The suites were a great opportunity to have meals in the motel and especially as they had barbeques that you could use to cook those meals. The hot tub was large - 8 person tub - and was nice to relax in, and two extra towels were provided for that purpose (located in your suite). There was a nice lookout, complete with a fire pit. There were a lot of stairs to get to all of these, however, so if you have mobility issues, you would not have access to the bbq or hot tub or lookout. The parking was in front of your room, but the parking lot was steep in both front and back of motel. Each room had access to a shared balcony with chairs and tables. Breakfast was provided in the way of coupons to eat at Screamers, which was a few blocks away from the motel. The $5 breakfast consisted of a choice of three breakfast sandwiches and a drink (coffee, tea or apple juice).

Motel Tyrol is a decent two-star motel. The rooms are very outdated, most likely still original furnishing, but bedding was new. The pool area was very nicely renovated and we certainly enjoyed it. Staff was very friendly. I think they will eventually renovate the place. I would start with the passageway upstairs toward the pool. That staircase is very run down and off-putting. The only negative thing was that other guests did not respect that the premises were non-smoking and were smoking right under our windows. The rooms don't have AC so we relied on open windows which was not possible with people smoking right under the window.

Second time staying here, as usual it didn't disappoint. You can tell the property is well maintained, clean, with nice upgrades. Especially enjoy the location, pool/sauna/hot tub as well as common area in the back, comfortable beds, location, and breakfast vouchers for Screamers are fantastic. Great breakfast sandwich and coffee. I also enjoy that the soaps are in dispensers so you don't run out of tiny bottles. Environmentally friendly! Would stay again.

54 year old motel that requires a lot of work. It has great potential. Differently need improvements to their housekeeping bathroom fan was caked in dust, dust on the closet shelving. Bathrooms need to be gutted moisture damage/rot.The owners were friendly. I wouldn't stay there again until major renovations are done.

Central location, easy to walk from into Radium. The pool amenities were nice to have as well as the breakfast vouchers. Go early for breakfast as they run out of most breakfast options by 10:30. Not sure if that's typical, but keep it in mind. Beds were comfy. Cleanliness was to be expected with kitchenettes...don't look under the beds. Facing the main road was noisy. The place could do with some upgrades and maintenance, its very dated. Our balcony screen door didn't close properly and allowed in mosquitos...many of which now adorn the walls. Oh and we had no tub plug which was annoying for bathing kids. Overall, it was the cheapest option in Radium for the time of year, so I wasn't expecting much and it didn't disappoint. I'd stay there again, it's a decent place to stop for 1 night.

Don’t waste your money. Accommodations are dirty. Boogers on the walls surrounding the bunk beds. The shower has a window in it that open to the parking lot. The glass sliding doors didn’t lock- a wooden bar was supplied. Beds are all due a replacement. The parking/driveway situation is dangerous. Certainly not worth the cost.

A nice motel with friendly managers. A very good location; we were on the top floor and from the balcony we enjoyed the view at the beautiful mountains. The pool and the hot tub (open year around) made our stay perfect.

Got a room on the higher floor. Great condition. The view is excellent. A good fridge and microwave. Bed is comfortable , with a small desk ( for getting work done). Recommended!

I realized there ia no a/c after we checked in at 10:35 when it was still 28C out. Limited outlets to charge phones The shower pressure was close to nil. This would be a good place to go off season at less than half the price! We basically paid $270 for a place to stay for 8 hours Door was locked af 10:30pm and locked at 8:30 am. Will consider this place again when i have more time. As it was, we didnt get there in time for the pool, and left before it was open The rooms seemed dated, but the bed was soo nice after 12 hours of travel. Wifi was 100mb

It was a great stay with a swimming pool and hot tub. We only went in the swimming pool which was great. The room had 2 queen beds and a little kitchenette (you cannot cook). If you're on the second floor you get to drive up to your room and unload and you have a great balcony facing the main street which could be noisy at times with semis going by. No a/c, just regular fans.

Upon checking in, very friendly and helpful front desk staff. However, once mentioning we have a service animal she needed to get husband to refund pet amount. When we got to our room, he was knocking to tell us we had to pay, because they may have to clean more. He demanded documents, which we of course have. In requests upon booking, service animal was stated to ensure if they wished they could place us in a pet friendly room. Otherwise, it was a very good stay, however this encounter made us feel uncomfortable through your stay.

Clean and comfortable room, but very dated. The location was convenient and easy to find, but was in a very noisy part of town. The pool/hot tub area was not as the photo indicates and were non-functioning. Front desk personnel were often unavailable. The breakfast was at a different location, but was quite tasty and unique in its setting.

A nice motel with friendly managers. A very good location; we were on the top floor and from the balcony we enjoyed the view at the beautiful mountains. The pool and the hot tub (open year around) made our stay perfect.

Central location, easy to walk from into Radium. The pool amenities were nice to have as well as the breakfast vouchers. Go early for breakfast as they run out of most breakfast options by 10:30. Not sure if that's typical, but keep it in mind. Beds were comfy. Cleanliness was to be expected with kitchenettes...don't look under the beds. Facing the main road was noisy. The place could do with some upgrades and maintenance, its very dated. Our balcony screen door didn't close properly and allowed in mosquitos...many of which now adorn the walls. Oh and we had no tub plug which was annoying for bathing kids. Overall, it was the cheapest option in Radium for the time of year, so I wasn't expecting much and it didn't disappoint. I'd stay there again, it's a decent place to stop for 1 night.

Second time staying here, as usual it didn't disappoint. You can tell the property is well maintained, clean, with nice upgrades. Especially enjoy the location, pool/sauna/hot tub as well as common area in the back, comfortable beds, location, and breakfast vouchers for Screamers are fantastic. Great breakfast sandwich and coffee. I also enjoy that the soaps are in dispensers so you don't run out of tiny bottles. Environmentally friendly! Would stay again.

The staff was great to work with. The suites were a great opportunity to have meals in the motel and especially as they had barbeques that you could use to cook those meals. The hot tub was large - 8 person tub - and was nice to relax in, and two extra towels were provided for that purpose (located in your suite). There was a nice lookout, complete with a fire pit. There were a lot of stairs to get to all of these, however, so if you have mobility issues, you would not have access to the bbq or hot tub or lookout. The parking was in front of your room, but the parking lot was steep in both front and back of motel. Each room had access to a shared balcony with chairs and tables. Breakfast was provided in the way of coupons to eat at Screamers, which was a few blocks away from the motel. The $5 breakfast consisted of a choice of three breakfast sandwiches and a drink (coffee, tea or apple juice).

We had a really good stay at Motel Tyrol. The pool was a nice bonus and the room had all the basics — microwave, fridge, coffee maker, utensils, and enough pillows. No AC (I missed that on Expedia), but the fans helped. Michael and his wife were great — friendly, funny, and welcoming. Light breakfast is included - a small bite and a generously sized coffee from Screamers, a cute spot just a short walk away.

There was no air conditioning. This was "solved" with a box fan in front of the screen to the sliding patio door-- which led to a nice balcony that was accessible by all the upstairs rooms. It didn't feel safe. Also, it meant that the road noise was present at odd times. But the bed was comfortable and we loved breakfast.

This place wasn’t clean, and I’m sorry I have to write this as the receptionist seemed very sweet and informative. The longer you looked, the worse it got. Every edge of the rooms were untouched for what looked like ages. We looked behind the curtains in our room and space between the windows and the mosquito net was full of dust and spider webs. The bathroom seemed on but when you looked closer there were yellow marks on the heat register. There was a small red stain in the bed sheets. The place has potential but needs a lot of TLC. No complaints with the staff, we only spent one night and appreciated the complimentary breakfast at screamers. It was delicious. Unfortunately we could not check out the pool so we can’t speak to that. The parking lot is very small so it’s interesting to navigate.

This is a unique place with tons of potential. Our room where the the bed is was very clean. The bathroom gets very low points as the tub and tub surround has old caluking that is cracked and not clean. The showerhead shoots out like a hose with no other option. The window in the bathtub area is very dirty and has some black mould. Hair that is not ours on the floor as well. The counter was clean however a three foot chunk of the front edge was broken off. The large shared front patio has a lot of potenital however the floor was filthy. A daily sweep would be great and not take a lot of time. As for the pool area, well, it is sadly overgrown with weeds, the pool water is not clear and it is full of bugs and fluff that you have to maintain yourself and maybe a postive is that you can really smell the chlorine and shock. There are 3 separate elevated areas each with a BBQ and table and chairs - great for a quiet private-ish dinner. However, again, not inviting at all with overgrown weeds and landscaping. There is another area with 2 BBQ's and a sink as well as an area for kids games. Its really all a great idea but the lack of maintenance and clenliness warrants a rating of 1. This is a diamond in the ruff - if you are looking for an investment opportunity, this is it!
