This place was ideal for our trip. Tried out the sauna. Lots of outdoor areas if the weather was nicer, it was cold for our trip. Staff super friendly and helpful. Grab the robe at check in! Breakfast in town. Just right.

Everything was quick and easy. The room was so clean and I had everything that I needed. Beautiful view and outdoor spaces available. Breakfast was fantastic and gluten free options were available.

Stayed at this property before. Great people & nice unit & facilities. Was a little noisy, NOT the properties fault, because of the construction detour on Highway 1, all traffic is routed through Highway 93, which was never intended for big truck traffic. Noticed the new amenities they installed since our last visit... a sauna, an outdoor BBQ area & a couple of fire pits in the trees behind the Motel affording great views of the valley & mountains!!!

Although the room we stayed in was small it was quite comfortable. The barrel sauna out bad was fantastic. It's a bit of a walk to the hot pools but can be done. It's about a 3 minute drive. There is also a fire pit and barbeque beside the hotel. Great little place. I will stay here again.

It was quite good. There was a small stove, and even a fridge. It had a bed, a table, and a sofa. The bathroom just had two spiders with cobwebs so I put 4/5 for cleanliness. But other than that, it was a good place to stay to go to Radium Hot Springs.

The motel is quite old, as is common in the area, but it is well taken care of. Rooms were very comfortable, with lots of nice touches. In room electric fireplace was very homely, biscuits on the bed were a nice touch and in the room was very clean. Really great stay, with excellent views of the mountains from the balcony. The area can be noisy in general (being on the 93) so earplugs aren't a bad idea. Will definitely stay again next year!

Room was small but perfectly acceptable. Comfortable bed with decent pillows. Portable a/c in the room kept it cool enough. Plenty of road noise, if you're a very light sleeper, maybe re-consider, otherwise great.

The room is small, but good for a couple. The bathroom is a good size. Everything is very clean, nice bedsheets, nice soap, shampoo and conditioner. Lots of TV channels. It would be great if the fridge was a bit bigger as we are on the road trip have a cooler and extra food. It would be nice to have some shelving and hooks in the room and bathroom.

No one is ever in the office when needed. The first night of a 3 night stay we lost power for 2 hours. Then at 7:30 am the entire area lost power again indefinitely due to fire. No one in office to discuss or update us. So no breakfast, no fridge for my husbands insulins. We had to leave. By necessity. My 80 yr husband needed food and refrigeration. They would not reimburse for the 2 nights we didn’t stay

The adjacent highway has extra traffic due to a detour funneling all of Highway 1 through Radium Hot Springs. When this is over the Highway noise should be reduced. Good location, nice town.

We always chose The Gateway when in Radium as we know we’ll get an excellent experience! This time we chose a room with a kitchenette and had everything we needed to cook our meals over 3 days. The walk ability to town is nice. The cleanliness and attention to detail make for a very pleasant stay. This property is well maintained. The complimentary breakfast at screamers which is a retro bakery/diner was really good! I would recommend The Gateway!

The only frustration was the breakfast set up. You go to a nearby location to get it so it’s not onsite - 3 blocks away, no biggie. However we waited 30-45 mins each day to order bc there were only 2 staff on and multiple hotels use their breakfast service. The food is really good (3 nice options) but the wait really cut into our day. Hopefully it was just understaffed around the holidays. Otherwise, it was a great stay!

We stayed here for 1 night as we toured around the local area. The room was spotlessly clean but very small with few power outlets, had we stayed any longer we would have struggled. Parking was onsite, no problems there. The complimentary breakfast was served at a separate location - I found there wasn't much choice as an egg intolerant veggie, ended up just having a buttered muffin. Still, it was better than nothing! Shops & places to eat nearby. A good pitstop.

It’s a very nice place to stay with. The only thing is there’s no staff available when you need supplies like toilet paper or garbage bag. It says staff available from 4pm to 7pm but when we check at 5 pm there’s no one in the office. There’s no extra garbage bag. It’s good we have extra toilet paper in 1 Rm 😊 maybe the people should check what they need when they check in and ask the staff right away. Also we would like to use the sauna and the fire pit but there’s no one to ask to😔

Courteous staff, rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. Loved the breakfast at Screamers that is offered. This is a wonderful place with great service and great breakfasts, coffee and baking to start your day

Clean and comfortable room, everything worked. Not a large room but big enough for two suitcases and other bags without tripping over them. En suite bathroom with towels and toiletries, but basin plug missing. The motel is quite close to the main road north into the Kootenays so there is some noise from trucks on this route (several motels are on this road). As with other motels there are no window blinds so it's necessary to keep the curtains drawn for privacy (we had a ground floor room for our four night stay). Parking available immediately outside the room. Housekeeping available on request. Breakfast available at the Screamers Diner about a 10 minute walk away: three modest if tasty choices included in the rate, or the option to upgrade to other menu options. Friendly owner on reception who let us borrow a kettle as the room has a coffee maker only. Towels provided for use at the Hot Springs. We dined at the Old Salzburg and Goat Street restaurants which are close by - but consider making a reservation to secure a table at your preferred time. The Kootenay Park entrance is a short drive away. Radium was a good base from which to access the Kootenays NP, Banff NP and Yoho NP.
