I love to stay ! Indeed a excellent hotel . Just a suggestion that the lifts are good to be upgraded as not intelligent enough to serve the guests . Example like many might be waiting but once the lift opened , the others will stop functioning , and if the ascending doors not closed , you cannot press for lift to descend . The rest are pretty satisfied . Good Hotel

Hatten is in serious need of revamp. Shower drain is choked, basin is choked, broken power socket, algae and mouldy bathroom, broken old furnitures, zero cleaniness of the room. Totally not recommended to stay here, there are other great options nearby also. Breakfast is depressed, we end up eating outside for 2 days even thou we paid for the breakfast.

Hatten is very close to most of the shopping malls. Just 5 to 10mins away to Jonker street and other touristy places. I had food poisoning from eating their breakfast. Although there was a wide spred of food for breakfast, most of the food were cool and taste bad. Poor hygiene. Their eggs came cold and not fully cooked. As for the rooms, there was blood stains on the curtains and carpets were stained badly. Hope the management can look into this.

We booked deluxe suite for 3 Days 2 nights. After the first night, we found live cockroaches running inside the bathroom. This is ultimate red flag for us. The hotel changed our room and gave us a small upgrade. Our new room face the main road and on this Friday night, there are probably around 100 motorcycles racing on the street. Hatten Hotel is located inside the illegal race track of these irritating daredevils racers. i am writing this review at about 1am and the noise is still going on. These motorbikes have been racing for the last 2 hours and over 10 rounds at least. I called the front desk/operator to complain. They are aware of this illegal racing activity that goes on every weekend. The hotel does not have ear plugs. Hotel guests have to endure these noises until the illegal race is over (???). This is totally unacceptable and we are not able to sleep at all with these noises going on.

The breakfast was NOT FREE! We paid 20 Ringie for each of us each day -- total 200 for 2 people for 5 days. The air conditioner was not removing the humidity and caused the room to have a musty odor. The room was serviced twice in five days because we were getting ready for bed (about 7:00 to 8:00 PM) when they wanted to service the room. We told them not to bother. Very disappointed!

Location is good, walking distance to shopping, dining out and tourist attractions. - Cleanliness was significantly below average for a "5 star" property, raised several issues with photos (stains, mould, insects) to staff and was offered free room upgrade. - However, the new room did not have hot water, water was lukewarm. Raised issue again with maintenance and was still not resolved after 3 days. Personal rating would be 2/5, will not be returning.

We stayed at 19th floor at first, the ac wasnt cold so they gave us another room on 20th floor. We could hear the rooftop bar (22nd floor) sound until 1.15am, and the room upstairs kept moving furniture until 2am , am not sure what are they doing. The breakfast was horrible, u could tell the kitchen staff were fed up and didnt wanna work there, their kitchen uniform looked like they just had war, and i saw one kitchen staff (male) in noodle soup area mocking a young female customer. Thats how bad it is. The bedroom was dark and gave u uneasy feeling, design was stupid and the sofa n tv area was useless, we only put our luggage there..and the lift was the worse part, wobbly and feel unsafe. I personally wont ever go back to this hotel, even if its free.

Checkin was very inefficient, I had booked 2 connecting rooms and was told only one is ready, instead of sending me the other room’s keycard, I was told to go to the reception again to checkin for the other room when it was ready, in spites of the long queue. The breakfast was chaotic, the staff did not assign tables at the entrance, instead it was free sitting, very poor management. The hotel is rather dated, can be improved with some renovation. Otherwise, the price point is quite reasonable.

Overall, my stay at Hatten Hotel was okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement. 1. Reception service needs serious improvement. The counter was closed without any notice while I was waiting, and staff were unhelpful and some even walked away without answering questions. 2. The room was decent, but it could use some maintenance and updates. 3. Parking isn’t ideal. It costs RM5, and only two floors have convenient lift access to the hotel rooms. The others have limited access to general areas only. 4. The swimming pool was a highlight. It has a beautiful view and clean water—I really enjoyed it. 5. Great location. The hotel is close to tourist attractions and there are plenty of food options nearby.

Hatten has never disappoint on the location with the surrounding attractions and their front counter customer service, and was always the place to stay at whenever my family visits Malacca, and we have stayed here more than 6 times in the past 3 years for multiple nights. However this time, the housekeeping was found severely lacking as we did not get any housekeeping done at all. For the 3 nights that we stayed, no housekeeping came by the first and second night, and on the third night they only came at 6.30pm when we were already resting in our rooms, and it made no sense to go out just to allow them to clean up and make the bed since we were already done for the day. Extremely disappointed with this part of the stay.

I booked and paid total 10 rooms. But the front desk staff can not find my booking even I show her the booking reference no. They took more than 90 minutes to settle my booking. Some rooms are musty smell, toilet door can not close. So disappointed of this five stars hotel.

THIS IS A SELF PROCLAIMED 5 STAR HOTEL, and at BEST A 3 STAR EXPERIENCE. Would suggest going to Marriott Courtyard or Doubletree Hilton instead. Rooms and lobbies are old fashioned and a little dirty tbh. I checked in to my room at around 8pm and it was such a below average experience. There was no hair dryer in the room and the refreshments kit was minimal. My safety deposit box was locked and I called the management at least 5 times to fix it. They promised to get it fixed only to make me wait over an hour till 12.30am and no response even then. I had to wake up for a polo game at 5.30am but THEY JUST DID NOT CARE.. Finally the box is STILL NOT FIXED AND idk where to keep my expensive belongings!!!!

I recently stayed at Hatten Hotel Melaka and had an overall pleasant experience. The hotel was nice, it wasnt the newest but we liked our stay. What wasnt pleasing, was when the hotel stuff started cleaning the pool in the middle of a hot day, even though the pool is closed for 12hours (since 7pm to 7am) breakfast was nice, only make sure to serve hot eggs - not fridge cold!
