The Hotel room is spacious and clean. Front desk staff polite and helpful. However the hotel reception is located at the 12th floor, car park is located at the 5th floor, the route to the lift lobby from the car park is very dirty and isolated. Moreover there is no proper sign leading to the car park and there is no indication where we can park our car. The nightmare come on the checking out day, according to the hotel staff, the hotel lift broke down in the middle of the night. We will not notified of the breakdown. We were make to walk down from the 27th floor to the 12th floor for breakfast and walk out again to our room to pack our luggage and walk down again. The hotel should have informed us to pack our luggage and walk down only once to the 12th floor for breakfast and then straight away check out. The hotel need to improve on this.

Hotel is nice, clean, comfortable, at great location. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The stay has been pleasant except for the lift shutdown that occurs on 19 Jan, due to a water pipe burst in the building next to Doubletree Hilton Melaka. We were not informed of the lift shutdown till in the morning when we were trying to take the lift from 20th floor down to ground floor. It was after a few call to the customer care hotline were we then informed of the situation and yet it wasn’t very clear of what was going on. The hotel should have texted us about the situation almost immediately when the lift shut down occur. Communication is important in such situation to avoid confusion and panic. The staff was not very consistent in their reply when we are trying to do our checkout. Some were telling us to go to the receptionist on 12th floor while some was saying we can just go to the concierge on ground floor, thus resulting in confusion. Since our check out, we still do not receive any formal apologies nor compensation for the inconvenience. We hope the hotel can reflect on the feedback provided above.

Not a convenient location for eating out and would suggest you put the Grab App on your phone to get around, particularly if you’re travelling with kids. Dutch square and Jonker Street approx a 2km walk and worth visiting. A nice pool with a great view. A restaurant is also on this level. Fabulous view from the Altitute Bar at night on Level 44.

Once check in, vanity mirror lights flickers, like in a ghost movie. When adjusting the air con, power trip, whole room blackout. Car park at Level 5, check in at Level 12, room at level 20. Is it convenient? You decide.

Hotel is lovely. Up to standard, but front staff need better English skills. It was a guess that they understood what you wanted. Very friendly with it. Biggest problem is the traffic noise from loud motorbikes well into the night as they race around the roads out front of the hotel. If you want to sleep before 2am ask for a room away from the front street.

Stayed in 1 bedroom suite with 100sqm. It's rundown and should not be call as a suit. Nothing is to shout about except the bathtub. Aircond is very noisy and the bedroom smell urine. The suite is rundown and the hotel is located above an abandon mall. Not worth the price and you can get much better hotel in Melaka with cheaper price.

There's good and there's bad here The room itself was very nice. The check in and attentive doormen were excellent. But.... nobody tells you that the hotel sits in a totally abandoned mall, some distance from the town centre and Jonkers. And nobody at the hotel told us before we checked in that all the water would be turned off to rooms from midnight to 6.00am - no showering, no toilets?!? So we had to rush back like Cinderella or sleep dirty. For an operational, so-called 5 star hotel, charging full price that is unforgivable. So for this HiltonHonors Gold member, it ranks as the worst Hilton experience I've ever had with he chain. Just not good enough, sorry.

The hotel itself is well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were in great condition, and the breakfast was excellent — fresh, tasty, and with plenty of variety. The check-in and check-out experiences were great. The room could have been cleaned better and had some areas that were not clean/ dusted. Morning buffet breakfast on Day 1 had a piece of plastic in the cornflakes which showed up in my 13 year old son's bowl. Thankfully he removed it and I did share it with the manager in the restaurant. Day 2, I got a small stone in the spoon ful of peanuts that I picked up from the Malaysial food section. The Axis lounge was a great experience with experienced and friendly staff, good selection of cocktails and food. The italian restaurant also had very good food options with a great taste. All in all - not very happy with the stay experience. This is not the Hilton experience I have known.

Disappointing experience at the restaurant. We waited for 30 minutes and then were told one of our orders was not available. This was after one of the meals had already been served. The food we did get was not of the expected standard for a hotel of this caliber. Room, cleanliness and other facilities were all as expected and of a high standard. Too bad about the food.
