Baymont by Wyndham Victoria

The property wasn’t awful but the third floor where we stayed smelled very musty and just bad, also the elevator was out the entire time.

We were not told until our arrival that the elevator was out of order. We booked 6 rooms for our family and all rooms were on the second floor. We had one elderly couple who could not climb stairs, let alone carry their luggage. Finally they found one room on the first floor. One of the rooms needed a crib and I made the request. We were told you don’t even have cribs. With the regular beds so high up from the floor, it was a big worry the baby would fall off. And if we had known there were no cribs, they would have packed one. Finally, your queen size beds are extremely high. My husband is only 5’4” and I am only 4’10 1/2”. It was terrible for us to get in and out of bed! Baymont will never be our first choice again while visiting Victoria. We traveled for a funeral in our immediate family. This experience made it all much more difficult for everyone! Perhaps you can make amends by crediting us a sizable portion of our bill. Other than that, you will lose our future business along with others who will hear about our experience. I am a very dissatisfied customer. Joanne Martinez

Interior muggy, very damp inside pillows and blankets moist, bugs on pillows and in corners of room, no working elevator, very weird people drinking outside and approaching you as you come in.

Staff was friendly and helpful. elevator didn't work room was hot and AC was shut off for winter ice machine on second floor didn't work snack vending machines only too $1 and $5, atm in lobby only does $20 and they can't make change at front dest

Elevator was not working and only room on 3rd floor

ELEVATOR WAS OUT OF SERVICE. ST AIRS WAS. HARD TO KEEP CLIMBING FOR A 70 YE A R OLD.

Thee hotel was in a state of disrepair. The elevator was out the side entrance door wouldn't work with a key. Several holes in walls and doors paint and patches in walls. The top lock was not aligned properly so housekeeping came in the room while we were undressed. My biggest complaint being baby roaches scattered.

Elevator was out of order, but it was not an issue to me. In need of some minor repairs but worked for my needs overall. Front desk ladies were great. Breakfast was decent enough. Shower pressure was excellent.

Great place. The elevator was out of order so that was an inconvenience and the ice machine on the 2nd floor (where I was staying) was not working either. The breakfast was really good. Lots of choices and friendly staff kept it clean and stocked.

Hair in tub & on floor. Urine around bolt cover on toilet. Torn carpet & couch. Mildew on ceilings, around tub. Dirty tile. Needs cleaning & maintenance.

Got into the room and there was mutiple roaches. In addition to the live ones there was a dead 1 in the fridge, what looked like boogers on the wall, and the provided shampoo and body wash bottles were all dirty. We could not even stay. We checked out and are awaiting a refund.

This property was comparable to others in the area but old, needed updating, mold in the showers, needed caulking, rusty nail pops, poor ventilation, humid rooms.118

Overall, our stay was okay. However, upon checking in and arriving at our room, we found several strands of hair in the beds. When I voiced my concerns at the front desk, a staff member—whose name I didn’t catch—promptly came up to remove the sheets and remake the beds to my satisfaction, not only in my room but in my mom’s as well, as she had the same issue. The following morning, housekeeping cleaned my room to satisfaction. The breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was friendly. I wouldn't stay again if given the option.

Front desk service excellent .But room bed linens was very dirty full of hairs sheets was dirty pillowcases dirty we took pictures of the bed not exceptable bathroom was dirty hair in the tub floor toilet dirty hair was in the bathroom sink ect.Ask the service person at front desk bring sheets down I made and my daughter changed the bedsheets etc.

The room I was in had extensive mold in the bathroom and leaking from fan. I sent an email and made 2 calls and there has been no response. Taking it to a higher level now.

The front desk service was excellent. Zach especially. But when we got to our room we were disappointed with the cleanliness. Specifically the bathroom. The towels were folded and new soap was in place so it appeared that it had been cleaned. However the toilet, bathtub and sink were very dirty. And I’m not a picky person but this was so disgusting that I had to tell Zach. He ended up getting cleaning supplies and cleaning it himself. Whomever was supposed to clean that room should get fired. It was that bad! Even the bath soap was still in the bath tub drain along with grime, dirt and pubic hair. The toilet was worse but I won’t describe. If they hire better housekeepers this place will improve. Breakfast was great!

The room was dirty, beyond just a simple housekeeping clean up. Mold and marks on the wall, shower head had mold on it, wall was broken.

Room smelled musty and moldy, black visible on the wall beside window, bathroom had hair and debris on toilet and floor. Wanted to use an e-gift card to pay but had already booked with debit card and they charged my card before we arrived.

The phones didnt work couldn’t call front desk the tv didn’t work. The directions were wrong. I had cockroaches in the bed. We left and when somewhere else. Trying to get a refund. We have pictures of the roaches

Overall the stay was better than expected, however, the water pressure in the shower was too soft. There was enough to get clean but more would have been preferred.

Clean and comfortable beds

The pillows and bed were comfortable. The shower was super disappointing, just warm water, not hot, and you either get a barely sprinkle or hard middle stream. The room was clean and ac worked well.

Great nights sleep

When arriving to hotel for check in, they could not find my reservation. After several minutes of looking into it, I was informed another guest had checked in using my name and was given my room! After a long hot day in the sun all we wanted to do was relax and cool off in our room but had to wait almost thirty additional minutes for them to find us another room which thankfully they had because the hotel was completely booked as per the host. The room that was given to us had pieces of the carpet missing, a line through the TV, 2 phones but did not work and the alarm clock did not work as well. It was as if those things were just merely there for decoration. There was also no hand soap or towels in the bathroom.

For the price I paid i would’ve expected for the room to be in better condition. Had couple unfinished patches in the wall restroom door had a hole. Paint was discolored and you could see the screw holes. Smelt a little like mildew. Looked like mold was coming in, Tv wouldn’t work.

Hotel staff was wonderful and very accommodating. Our room was in need of an upgrade for Wyndham standards. Carpet needs replacing as well as the shower. Internet worked great! But television maybe needed another remote as you had to use some of the buttons on the side of the tv to work it.

The property looked amazing coming in but when I arrived to the room it had a strong mildew smell and they had something blowing in the room to clear the smell I guess. The shower leaked and the toilet could not flush. The TV didn't work and you couldn't call from the phone in the room. I had to find the number and call from my cell. They did switch the room finally which was better at first until we tried going to sleep at 10pm. There were children in the room above and we assume that the loud running and jumping would stop because it was late. It did not after it went on constantly for 15-20 minutes I had to call the front desk again to ask them to call the family above to stop the madness. It did not stop immediately I tried to give it some time before calling back. We had just came from a 20 hour road trip and thought 10pm was reasonable to expected to sleep After that morning came and at 7am the running and jumping started again. I think it should be a noise ordinance in a hotel. To accommodate all visitors.

The bed was very comfortable and had really soft sheets. Also the towels were soft not stiff.

The A/C kept turning off and on. I like my rooms dark and cold, at times it would warm up on its own and especially affected my sleep.

the room was cleaned good aside the little roaches coming from the couch it was good and the staff was great. the lady was very helpful and courteous. theres one young woman whos always helpful when i go. she works mainly mornings or nights but she is always helpful

Generally not a fan of Wyndham’s economy hotel brands, but the lobby looked and smelled nice. The person staffing the front desk when we arrived around the 3AM was friendly, helpful, and got us checked-in quickly. The AC was cold, the room was clean, shower water hot, and the beds comfortable. Which was a welcome change after another Wyndham property lost our reservation and didn’t even offer to try to help us find another place to stay. After we’d called that property’s front desk 2 hours before arriving to confirm our late check-in wouldn’t be an issue. We had a super long and frustrating day leading up to that, so with fading ability to drive safely and phone batteries nearly depleted it made trying to find alternative accommodation a scary prospect. Luckily this property came in clutch when that other one didn’t.

Staff very welcoming, informative and friendly. Rooms were clean, organized and had a awesome crisp smell.

Property was old but looked like it had been recently renovated. Our room was clean and quiet, the bed was super comfortable! The manager though, when we checked in could have used a lesson in customer service (basic "hi, welcome to x, breakfast is at x time, the wifi passcode is x"). She was there again in the morning and it was not enjoyable to deal with her although she did take care of my billing issue- I think. Breakfast was sadly lacking in the basics (no Splenda/Equal/Stevia- just cane sugar and SweetnLow, missing butter and jam for the biscuits & toast). The eggs were the pre-frozen yellow patties, along with sausage patties and biscuits. There were 2 waffle makers (beware- waffles tasted like 2 parts stryofoam, 1 part waffle), toast and bagels and some muffins. 2 different cereals, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. Oh, and coffee, oj and apple juice. Hardly worth the "free" breakfast advertising.

We arrived about 1030 pm , the lady who checked in was really nice and quick . The next morning which was sumday we went down to eat breakfast . To my surprise thete was nothing, i had my grandson with me , this was the first time i had stayed here many times . There was no plate when we asked the lady at the desk she said they didnt have any . But she was on here cell phone much to busy for us or the other guest . This was not the same lafy who checked us in . I might add she was on here cell not on hotel business but she had it on speaker everyone could hear it . The whole breakfast setup was a very poor display of employment.

Property was very nice and a pretty good value. Anastasia at check-in was amazing, making our check-in experience one of the best we have ever had. “Breakfast” offered only cereal and waffles. No protein. Thank goodness there was coffee.

The bathtub was inoperable. Only shower availabile. Found a syringe cap in the bed following the 1st night. Breakfast was closed down too early.
