We stayed in the junior suite with jetted tub. The drawback is it was right above the pool, which can get noisy with kids during the day. The view is amazing. The kitchen is outdoors , well equipped. There are alot of stairs to get to your room, but the staff will help with your luggage. The restaurant , Madera serves excellent food and good drinks on the beach. We had great service with our waiter,Armando. You can get a massage on the beach right next door for $25 for 90 min. If you just want to relax and enjoy the beach, you would like it here. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely return.

Website photos were deceiving. Exterior door was sliding door made of glass. Only exit/ entrance hallway was right near windows and doors. You could hear any one talkng as they passed by. Pool very small.only access was steep, long stairs.

Great location. At the top of a hill with an amazing view of a beautiful bay. There was a lovely infinity pool with plenty of seating options or you could swim in Madera Bay. The onsite restaurant served above average food. The service was great and everyone very friendly, always wanting to help.

Great location on La Madera Beach and easy access to the centre. The pool was wonderful overlooking the beach. Many restaurants in the area. Units had a full kitchen. Internet was excellent. It was a wonderful place but does have many steps.

We had a great stay, room was comfortable. Great location, walkable to the malecon / centro. awesome staff; very pleasant & helpful, especially Ricardo. Restaurant was convenient, though lacked in service for our experience. There's lots of stairs, so the constant up n' down can take a toll. Overall, we do recommend this hotel and would return.

Very nice property on Beautiful Madera Beach. Great location for walking the boardwalk into downtown Zihuatanejo and surrounded with numerous places to dine. Property was very clean and well maintained. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing to note for people with mobility issues is all the stairs from street level to beach level to all the suites.

We had a great stay at Arena Suites (Oct '23). We had the "Family Master" suite which had 2 bedrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen / dining area and a beautiful porch overlooking the beach and the bay. The room was cleaned very well every morning by Elizabeth (fresh linens/towels and dishes were washed). The restaurant was super convenient and the food never disappointed. Our server was always Armando - super friendly and great English skills. The hotel sits on a hill, so there are quite a few steps to get from the street entrance down to the beach, and elevators are not available. Wasn't an issue for us, but could well be for others. There's a convenience store across the street that is open from 9a - 6p or so that had any last-minute snacks, medicine, groceries you might need, but the prices reflect the convenience (sunscreen was about 3x what you'd pay at a nearby pharmacy). The hotel sits on a very nice sandy beach (very few rocks) with good waves for body surfing, and only a hundred yards or so down the beach is the paved walkway that leads to the downtown area. You can walk from the hotel to the downtown restaurants in 10 minutes or so. Overall, it was a great experience and we'd highly recommend this hotel!

I like that it was on the beach with a fabulous restaurant which did a pop up dinner and music on the beach every night. The happy hour was limited but we could use the beach loungers because we were registered at the hotel. The hotel was old and a little grungy where several things were broken. I refused to stay in the room at the bottom of the stairs as it was opposite the restaurant bathrooms so tjere was odour and you couldn't open the curtains anywhere. There were only 2 rooms in the hotel that I would stay in again. They were near the top of the stairs.

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The AC unit had failed so we were moved to another room while it was worked on, free of charge. The restaurant and location are great!

We enjoyed our eight night stay at Arena Suites. The location is perfect - directly above Madera Beach. Our room was comfortable and the outdoor kitchen/living area was great fun. The kitchen was well equipped and all appliances worked. Water was hot and plentiful - always nice to have. Each day we used the loungers on the beach and indulged in drinks and snacks from the bar/restaurant.

We enjoyed our eight night stay at Arena Suites. The location is perfect - directly above Madera Beach. Our room was comfortable and the outdoor kitchen/living area was great fun. The kitchen was well equipped and all appliances worked. Water was hot and plentiful - always nice to have. Clean, comfortable and good location. Easy walk to el centro and the malecon. Only downside was it could be noisy at times (this is a busy area). We would stay again for the convenience of the location.

Some of the nicest staff I have ever met. The manager Ricardo and Frances were excellent. All the waiters were very friendly and accommodating. Great location and very quiet

Todo muy bien gracias a todo el personal por sus servicios, su amabilidad .la habitación siempre estuvo limpia, el personal excelente, la vista a la playa de maravilla y la cocina tiene todo lo que se necesita gracias por todo los días que estuvimos hay fueron maravillosos

We had a great stay, room was comfortable. Great location, walkable to the malecon / centro. awesome staff; very pleasant & helpful, especially Ricardo. Restaurant was convenient, though lacked in service for our experience. There's lots of stairs, so the constant up n' down can take a toll. Overall, we do recommend this hotel and would return.

Very nice property on Beautiful Madera Beach. Great location for walking the boardwalk into downtown Zihuatanejo and surrounded with numerous places to dine. Property was very clean and well maintained. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing to note for people with mobility issues is all the stairs from street level to beach level to all the suites.

Website photos were deceiving. Exterior door was sliding door made of glass. Only exit/ entrance hallway was right near windows and doors. You could hear any one talkng as they passed by. Pool very small.only access was steep, long stairs.

Great location. At the top of a hill with an amazing view of a beautiful bay. There was a lovely infinity pool with plenty of seating options or you could swim in Madera Bay. The onsite restaurant served above average food. The service was great and everyone very friendly, always wanting to help.

We had a great stay at Arena Suites (Oct '23). We had the "Family Master" suite which had 2 bedrooms, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen / dining area and a beautiful porch overlooking the beach and the bay. The room was cleaned very well every morning by Elizabeth (fresh linens/towels and dishes were washed). The restaurant was super convenient and the food never disappointed. Our server was always Armando - super friendly and great English skills. The hotel sits on a hill, so there are quite a few steps to get from the street entrance down to the beach, and elevators are not available. Wasn't an issue for us, but could well be for others. There's a convenience store across the street that is open from 9a - 6p or so that had any last-minute snacks, medicine, groceries you might need, but the prices reflect the convenience (sunscreen was about 3x what you'd pay at a nearby pharmacy). The hotel sits on a very nice sandy beach (very few rocks) with good waves for body surfing, and only a hundred yards or so down the beach is the paved walkway that leads to the downtown area. You can walk from the hotel to the downtown restaurants in 10 minutes or so. Overall, it was a great experience and we'd highly recommend this hotel!

Best place to stay. Steps from the beach. All staff great. Good restaurant on premise. Kitchens we use for buying fresh fish right at the pier. Good Mercado in town, or go to Soriana supermarket. Good beaches, local cabs are less than $5.

Great location on La Madera Beach and easy access to the centre. The pool was wonderful overlooking the beach. Many restaurants in the area. Units had a full kitchen. Internet was excellent. It was a wonderful place but does have many steps.

Clean, comfortable and good location. Easy walk to el centro and the malecon. Only downside was it could be noisy at times (this is a busy area). We would stay again for the convenience of the location.

I like that it was on the beach with a fabulous restaurant which did a pop up dinner and music on the beach every night. The happy hour was limited but we could use the beach loungers because we were registered at the hotel. The hotel was old and a little grungy where several things were broken. I refused to stay in the room at the bottom of the stairs as it was opposite the restaurant bathrooms so tjere was odour and you couldn't open the curtains anywhere. There were only 2 rooms in the hotel that I would stay in again. They were near the top of the stairs.

Pros: Room cooled off nicely, bed was comfy, shades kept things relatively dark. Cons: Hoo boy. I booked the Jr. Jacuzzi "Suite" (it's a standard room) solely for the Jacuzzi. Upon check-in, I was told the jets were broken but would be fixed in a day or two. No problem, I can take/leave bubbles. The next day I went to use the Jacuzzi, sans jets, and found (steak?) bones of various sizes hanging out in there. I asked the front desk when it was last cleaned. I was told the filter was broken but would also be repaired. Must be a heavy duty filter to break down food waste. Eventually, things were purportedly fixed after two attempts on two separate days, but it never really felt "clean" and I was deprived of what I'd paid for for half my stay. No effort on management's part to make up for the loss of this feature. Next, my wife works the night shift and I prefer the evenings as well, so we stay out late. I was surprised the first night when we returned to the hotel to find the front entry locked. We knocked to no avail. Eventually I was able to reach over and unlock the door from the adjacent roof. When I asked the next day what to do, I was told to call a number, or I could make the long trek down to the beach where that entrance was left open, then make the long trek back to the room. So, we called every night, listened to the phone ring inside, then made the long trek, occasionally passing by the night shift(?) sleeping on the stairs. There are better places to stay nearby.

Me gustó las instalaciones, lo único es que son muchas escaleras y el estacionamiento es pequeño y separado. Es acogedor y los empleados muy amables. El área de alberca es pequeño y pocos camastros El hotel se encuentra en una tipo montañita y es un poco incómodo acceder a él. Por lo demás muy equipado y bonito.
