Melaleuca Motel

Not sure where the reviews I have seen about the property being lovely come from because it is far from. The reason they don't take a security deposit is because there isn't anything you can do to the space that isn't already in a bad state of disrepair. Between the paint pealing off the wall and exposing the chipping wall to the frayed door the room needs an overhaul before anyone else stays there. The location is lovely, but not nearly as close to the beach as images will have you think. If you are driving a large truck or are traveling with a trailer don't stay there as the space is tight. Overall, everything about the room screamed, just go to sleep and morning will come soon enough so that you can check out.

Very clean room, friendly staff

Illfitting front door with gap at base. Perished wall plaster, rear wall. Room doudy. Good sized room. Tabke provided. Small TV. However good choice of channels. Mismatched crockery etc. Cracked microwave housing. Missing plastic cover to toaster. Old furniture. Kitchen area could be much improved. Wifi good. Comfortable bed with good clean linen. Reasonably priced.

The internet was a bit slow wouldn't operate movies on tv properly.

Situated very close to numerous hotels, eateries, wharf area, swimming complex etc. The staff are very friendly, although, an older building, the rooms are comfortable and clean.
